  1. waiting for 42043...

  2. that was a sure buy since january.. This fantastic review just confirmed that
  3. Very very impressive! Looks Like good torque. Love the Sound too!
  4. Amen!.. I also remember how I felt when i made 8043 the first time, with the switch gear and aaaaaalll those gears... I was awestruck by the design and compexity !
  5. Well i Think it's Hard to choose wich is better of 8043 and 42009.. I have them both, build as Juergens Ultimates and they are both pretty damn impressive! But as the crane is Hard to build and very very complicated, it Doesn't do much else than lift stuff.. Impressive as it is, i find it relatively boring over time.. i would'nt miss it, but the ultimate 8043 is just more fun when upgraded to actually being able to dig something! :) If you dig something Like bird seeds or beans, the next Challenge you will meet is getting a proper truck or dumper to load your material into :) Having a pair of construction vehicles to dig with, is just more fun than a crane.. That's why I prefer the 8043 the most.. :)
  6. HELP i need somebody HELP not just anybody. :D But someone who can explain to me, how to acquire LDD (or similar) LEGO program to plan my MOCs and to view Nicajsnos (?) great Rebuild of the 8110 front axle. (Watched his build on YT GREAT)!! Are ALL bricks om the program? Shall I download new bricks, or will the system update itself? Is it expensive ? Make up more relevant questions yourselves and please anser a Technic(ally challenged) member.. :)
  7. Went to see in great expectation of a 42043 Imitation, but then it was the crawler crane.. Nonetheless impressed anyways!... Great build!
  8. Wauw soo inspiring, reading your stories.. Telling me I am not the only 34 year old playing with LEGO.. Born in 1980, played with LEGO through the 80's Applying for job with LEGO in Billund in 1990, :) recieving a nice letter to apply again when I grew older.. :) My last set was 8880 in '94. Then, there it was! In 2003 i saw the 8455 in a shop. I never had pneumatics before, and i was in love with that complexity. 8455 still stands as a milestone to me... I went back to the Dark ages, but never disassembled 8455. Then in 2010 I Got the 8275 from a relative, Working with LEGO in Billund, and I was hooked. The combination of pneumatics and PF Got me! I watched Zblj's bulldozer on YT at that time and also discovered Sariel and was immensely inspired! I have veen buying the flagship each year ever since, MODing them all with PF Then I discovered BRicklink and now it's spiralling! When I saw the video of the arocs, 42043 I had to share my enthusiasm with someone, and made a profile here on eurobricks two weeks ago... Been stalking in here for years... Cheers!
  9. So now, that we've established an inline6 engine, will it also feature 8x8 drive for all you purists ?
  10. What a cool story ! :D Nice done by him! looks awesome! , Real John Deere theme you got there :)
  11. Just ordered 5 new 6L pumps on BL... :D Waauw that chassis is insane @ SHEEPO !!!!
  12. I say get a boy AND a girl, give them a 8110 each ! (I have a boy&girl) :) will check out your IG later ;) Certainly not me :) Soo looking forward to see how they replicated this setup! Am I the only one itching to put a XL motor on it, putting torque through that driveline?? :) indeed this set seems to be working out to be the finest ever... I remember back in '94 when 8880 was all groundbreaking... could this be the same quantumleap in lego?? :)
  13. Geez, 300 $. !? Really ought to have stockpiled 8110 when it was on sale a while back... :) I get the flagship every year, that's all, mod it a bit, playing with it and saving them till my children grows old enough to benefit.. I was SO excited when i first saw 8110, havent Really felt that until seeing this Arocs :)
  14. Oh I thought the Worm gear was to 'ease' the boom down, and orherwise (remote)control the speed of the boom, but i can see this make perfect sense! Roger roger :)
  15. Yes thanks Allan! Makes lots of sense, now I see why this setup will use 2 PF channels, but it'll be worth it, controlling an upper crane arm! Thank you so much for taking your time to share! Really appreciate it. PS my Phone didn't Update until now, just realized you had posted @ me
  16. Hello.. Been following this thread from the start, no indication of PF valve... Legoworld Copenhagen is coming up next weekend, Think I will take my son
  17. WOW that looks interesting, Mark !! I have got to try that at home....
  18. Had to sacrifice my ultimate 8043 for parts.... (and 8275 offcourse) ;( But other than that, they all sit neatly on the shelf, modded like hell :)
  19. That's also a solution described a little longer up the thread... :)
  20. No, it's really easy and effective, when using remote controlled pneu. in a simple on/off system like a tipping bed.. waay more difficult when using it on a system like svinging the back hoe from side to side on the 8455 or a crane or similar, where it's needed to stop the piston mid-way.. But I don't understand why some claim it is needed to have a compressor for each valve when the system is remote controlled....? Stroke of genious there! That's excactly what I thought of, very very nice, even fits snugly in a vehicle.. And one large, well build compressor can supply several valves thank you so much for that reply! - and VERY nice loader @ Alasdair Ryan !
  21. Love that description! would very much like to see it irl :) can't wait to get home & try.. remote controlled the crane on my 8110 while back, the valve-controllers took the entire bed-place, but steering the crane was virtually impossible due to waaay to quick actions of the boom, especially the upper boom arm
  22. Agreed ! Was actually trying to insert a picture og Sariel's Worm gear, but the picture turnes out in chinese letters in my post..
