New Zealand had blue locomotives. Back in 1999 I built my version of the Bay Express, a long distance train hauled by a class Dc locomotive. Click here to see my LEGO version and photos of prototype

I MOC vehicles and use them with LEGO designed ones. Look here for Brickshelf photos of my designs. In my town layout I use LEGO designed buildings with the above mentioned vehicles.Recent topic on my town layout.

Look great . Are the Lifelites street lamps bright in a lighted room? Thinking of using them for my next Taupo display.

Don't understand the question. All the trains, track and monorail are from LEGO sets.

Ask LEGO why they designed the carousel so big The shark, gorilla and clown are off to catch the train to a fancy dress party.

Fence works very well. It is a cheap expandable trellis fence. There is concrete in the LEGO buckets. Small kids can look through the trellis, there are photos of this towards the end of the longer video.

Yes it is my own creation. Click on this link Mr Whippy Ice Cream Van to see earlier topic about it

Thanks. Crane has three older geared Technic motors (trolley, hook and swing) and is controlled by a 8485 Technic Control Centre II.

Layout Once a year I get make a LEGO town out of my sets (1000+) in storage and show it off. A 300km trip from Wellington to the storage unit in Napier. Two weeks there to plan, build and test the layout. Pack it up then another 150km trip from Napier to the Taupo for the Hobby Show. A video of the town layout A view along the layout. Close ups I hope you enjoyed the layout as much as I enjoyed showing it off.

I have over 1000 sets collected brand new over the last 25 years. Most are made up, put in plastic bags then boxed in new cartons. They are currently in a 63 cubic metre storage unit along with hundreds of sets for spare parts and some glued shop models. I thinking of selling off most of my older sets and concentrating on keeping enough for doing display layouts at train shows.

Crawler Crane actually $59.99. Bought some Pharaohs Quest sets. 2 x 7306 for the motorbike and 7307 for the bi plane. P.S. To harmacy, Taupo Hobby Expo is on 23/24 July. I will be displaying a 7.2m x 1.2m LEGO train display again. Not far from Tauranga, hint. -
The Dodgems were from the Bodville LEGO site in Australia (with his permission). You can see my dodgems in this (about the middle). One dodgem did get knocked into a dead spot but normally they bump then wait for the next magnet.

You could use this system under roadplates. I am currently experimenting with using slot car track (I have 1:64 Scaletrix Micro and 1:43 Carrera Go) The Carrera Go looks to be a good size to fit on top of the road plates.

Great looking DMU. Got to love a train thats named after me

I use them all the time. At my Taupo display I use them between the controller on the floor and the track on the display table. If you find a voltage drop on the far side of the track layout you can have two on the controller with one (or more joined together) going to the far side. I also used them from a controller on the floor to the wind turbines on the layout.

I have just finished building 2 Maersk diesels and am about to start on number 3.I have 4 of the Sante Fe Super Chief diesels of which I modded 2 into a B unit. I also have 4 BNSF diesels. I do love all the designs and the evolution of more detail in the diesel sets over the years. My vote went to the Maersk diesel.

Just finished building the second of three Maersk Train sets and I have noticed that I have one black Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Door Rail (Bricklink description) left over from both sets. It is unusual to have a bigger piece as a spare. Have gone through instructions and have not missed anything. Has anyone else noticed this?

Went to one Toyworld in the Wellington region, and my partner and I picked up a large grey baseplate each at 50% off plus 2 blue baseplates each at the other discounts. Went to another Toyworld and picked up a grey base plate each and 3 blue ones each. Farmers had 20% off toys and 20% off purple peg discounted toys today. So at Farmers in Napier I picked up 4 7591 Construct-a-Zurg sets at $16 each. -

Happened to me 2 years ago when I bought the Grand Carousel for $NZ399 from S@H on the day it first came out. Box label said the value was in Euros and the invoice inside did not state what currency it was in. DHL on behalf of customs said that it was worth over $NZ1000 after converting from Euros. I paid DHL $167 in extra tax to clear it as I needed it for a show. I got hold of LEGO but after a few emails nothing happened. I am still out of pocket. This time the good LEGO service did FAIL! -
Found this picture review on brickshelf with a few pages of pictures with lots of details.Click here

Spoke to my mum tonight (where I sent my LEGO to) one box arrived today with 1 Maersk Train and 1 Winter Village Bakery inside (this was ordered on the second day of free shipping) and there was also a poster inside. My order on the first day of the free shipping of 2 Maersk Trains has not arrived yet. -

I thought you only bought one train, not 24 trains My 3 are being sent to Napier and I live in Wellington, but the good news is I will be in Napier for 3 days next week
