  1. I had 10 Dalek's on the layout and the public had to find them I had a cheap tablet as an animated billboard on top of the Grand Emporium playing an Alien Conquest video clip warning of an invasion.
  2. Layout My display at the Taupo Hobby Expo 7th & 8th of July 2012. I also made the front page of the local paper Two pages of pictures on Brickshelf Enjoy
  3. Thanks, have placed a couple of outside pictures in first post.
  4. Thanks for comments. Probably go for a paved area as the inside already has a wooden floor. All of the LEGO modulars have a plain rear area.
  5. Finished Japanese Restaurant Front view: Rear view: Inside ground floor: Inside first floor: Enjoy :)
  6. I see what you mean. I have put a headlight brick on its back on the pole and attached the tile to what was the top stud. Will update photos once my Bricklink order arrives.

  8. In my mind, there were flags blowing in the wind, that was why I had angled them.
  9. The Sumo Wrestler from series 3 of the Collectable Minifigures.
  10. The brown crates and the brown tiles (to look like wooden floor boards) came from lots and lots of 8401 City Mini-Figure Collection sets I bought for spare parts.
  11. As I said, It is a work in progress. The roof was made with what parts I had avaliable in our one bedroom apartment in Wellington. In Napier, were I am going today, I have a storage unit (the size of a 1 1/2 car garage full of LEGO. So hopefully I can find some roof bricks.
  12. Allan's Girl Friends My old avatar was my personalised number plate "I LEGO" So my new avatar is of all my girl Friends on my other personalised number plate.
  13. B-OM-23D I have built a Japanese Restaurant for the Modular Madness competition. Ground floor has wooden floor, kitchen with servery for waiters and for takeaway clients. Lanterns on wall and large Japanese flag. Large windows with door to outside seating. Upstairs has large windows for light, pictures and lanterns on wall. Front view: Rear view: See post #19 for more photos.
  14. Great modular. My favourite so far. BTW. The technic connector bricks have to sit on top of the baseplate to join with another modular. Yours are 1 plate too high.
  15. My list of wanted animals: 1. Sheep (I am from NZ and we have millions of them so I would love to build a sheep farm) 2. Deer / Reindeer (I want them to pull Santa's sleigh) 3. Penguins (NZ is close to Antarctica) 4. Giraffes (DUPLO had a zoo theme so why not CITY) 5. Cheetahs (They are my favourite animal , My coffee mug has a Cheetah face on it) LEGO could do a CITY zoo theme. Have modular animal enclosures on a 16 x 32 plate that could be joined together.
  16. Nothing, LEGO don't make all the parts I will need in that colour. So I will have to choose another colour.
  17. V-LV-28E The pink car is from one of the promotional pictures used for the new Wii U game LEGO City Undercover. I tried to reverse engineer it and have guessed the rear of the car. It reminds me of a Porsche Boxter. Now to build it in real life, but not in pink. Here is the .lxf file if you want your own one. Enjoy
  18. September. 9469 Gandalf Arrives $29.99 9470 Shelob Attacks $49.99 9471 Uruk-hai $69.99 9476 The Orc Forge $89.99 9472 Attack on Weathertop $99.99 9473 The Mines of Moria $149.99 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep $249.99
  19. B-OM-18C The minfigs from Modular City have been demanding new technology from the Mayor in the Town Hall. He has given in and allowed a cell phone site to be built. Due to vandalism the site is protected by a high fence and security gate. Entry is my keypad code. Extra lengths of tower are on site if the tower is to built next to the Town Hall. View of alarm box behind keypad. Additional pictures and LDD file Enjoy
  20. I think so. I did one order of $360 and one of $370. Each order has a droid.
  21. Can the sidewalk be 6 deep? I have finished my model for Category 2 with a sidewalk of 6 deep. Looking at the Pet Shop instructions I have here, the sidewalk varies from 6 at the right end to 8 at the left end. In front of the steps it is only 3.
  22. I didn't look for sale sets. I went for ones we are not getting in NZ like the larger Cars movie sets. Also got the modular Town Hall because I am doing a public display early July and the Town Hall will be in NZ shops later in July. The sales appear to be mainly Star Wars sets and key rings. It is really a free shipping promotion rater than a sales promotion.
  23. Its great living in New Zealand because we are the first to see May 4th. Have ordered lots of sets and parts and saved on the $NZ80.00 shipping charge.
