  1. Studless version looks nice indeed.. another project for the months to come
  2. Pretty good, but I think the wheels are too small
  3. Lovely colour, now build it in a larger scale, like the one in the first post
  4. Only discovered this MOC just now.. all I can say is 'wow'. Very, very impressive looking model.. probably the most beautiful LEGO truck I've ever seen, even beating out Ingmars many masterpieces IMO.
  5. I've bought two 8043s, will first build both the A and B models, and then scrap the B model to build your ultimate version.. guess I should have enough parts then
  6. Very nice, easily your best tank MOC so far. Love all the little details. Turret seems a bit bouncey though.. Shame you won't build WW2 German tanks, would love to see a PzKpfw VI Ausf. B 'Königstiger' or Landkreuzer P. 1000 'Ratte' MOC
  7. Very nice, the Miura SV is one of my favorite sportscars. I think it looks better in lime green though
  8. You can also tell by the production codes on the LA's :) 3x60 or 'higher' means you've got the real deal.
  9. Most people here would rather chop off their own fingers than cut/glue/modify their precious LEGO bricks I guess But if you think it's a good idea, go for it IMO the 8043 looks great with both the original bucket or the 2951 bucket.
  10. So this is the new MOC you were working on? It looks excellent, just like the real thing. Only real improvement I can think of is the use of chromed parts where appropriate, but I guess that could get very expensive. I like the fact it's mostly studless, makes it easier for me to build (I hardly have any studded bricks) Thanks for taking the time to create instructions, once again.
  11. Finally received this set yesterday, gonna build it today. Planning on upgrading it to look and behave more like the venerable 8421 (should have at least a three section boom!). It also has to be motorized completely, ofcourse
  12. Thanks for the information :) I had already figured out that it would be easy to add a XL motor in the front to drive the differential directly, but I was still wondering how to add the three M-motors for steering and lifting/tilting the bucket. I have plenty of ideas now..
  13. Just finished building the 8265.. it's a great set indeed :) Fun to build, and looks excellent as well. Now to motorize it..
  14. Good post Blakbird, I agree with it completely. People here are being overly negative.
  15. I'm using Basebrick as well now.. it's pretty nice but still needs some polishing here and there :)
  16. Looking forward to the 'unveiling' of the Leopard 2A4, it's easily the best-looking of the bunch Now for the Pz.Kpfw. VIII 'Maus'
  17. Yep, you're referring to the venerable 8275 :) Love the looks of that one.. gonna try and build it using the parts I own. Buying a new one is much too expensive unfortunately.. I disagree, I think the bucket arms are too long :) The overhanging backend looks OK when compared to the real thing, I retract my earlier statement about that. It just looked odd to me without the ripper I guess. edit: here is another nice tracked dozer, built by Sariel.
  18. Yeah, I kind of expected that for more than 3-4 sections. However, I think I might add some more sections just for looks.. I can always give it a nudge to help it while it's extending ;-)
  19. Interesting, in that video the B-model looks a lot more elongated than in the two accompanying pictures. I actually prefer the look of the pictures.. oh well, I can always try to improve it myself :)
  20. Cool, Sariel is building a seven-section LTM 1200 I believe.. maybe you two can swap ideas :) I'm interested in the six-section LTM 1250 myself, but I need more parts/spare time first.
  21. While you're at it, why not go for a eight-section boom? Would love to see the LTM 11200-9.1 as a MOC
  22. Looks like we have a consensus here Interesting design, I'm thinking of adopting it for my yet-to-be-built crane.
  23. Some pictures might be helpful ;-) Show us what you've built & tried so far.
