  1. "Yes, why not? Seems intriguing!" Ezeran signs up to quest 158
  2. "We know you wouldn't, but Torald needed to confront his fear!" Ezeran straightens his back and goes to the bar and fetches a mulled wine for himself, an ale for Torald and a lemonade for Petaldan. "You have learned much so far, let's take a break and drink to your success as a battle mage!" He raises his glass and smiles.
  3. Ezeran smiles. "You handled this situation as well as you could have regarding the circumstances! Keeping calm and showing restraint is very important while channeling magic, especially while handling your fears. Well done master battlemage! How are you holding up so far? Tell me what you have learned!"
  4. Ezeran smiles at the young knight and pulls forth an amethyst from his satchel. Focusing on the gem a dark glow shone in the sorcerers eyes, the light in that part of the hall seemed to dim a bit and with a sudden booming noise and a puff of purple smoke an exact replica of the young knight stood before Torald. "This is a shadow of Petaldan, not a mere beast or a demon but a reflection of his soul cast in an earthly apparition. Now he can only be stopped by magic. Good luck" With a deep snarling sound coming from the reflections mouth the reflection of Petaldan threw itself against Torald. What would the battle mage do to stop it?
  5. Ezeran nods. "The fear of loosing friends and family is not uncommon." The symbiont shudders its lips and tongue shaking visibly. Ezeran waves at Petaldan. "Come over here will you young master knight?"
  6. Ezeran yawns "Sorry I seemed to doze off a bit, let's continue with your training! Say, what do you fear the most friend?"
  7. Would be fun to see a cleric around! He or she might running the risk of becoming stuck in FoG though....
  8. I agree, fun idea but I didn't get it at the time to be honest.
  9. Ezeran looks impressed. "That's really good! Great choice of gem regarding the circumstances! Your first choice of the ruby would have been a sound choice if we weren't in this locale as you yourself mentioned. You will not only be a powerful battlemage but a wise one as well. How about some more drinks before we continue?" Ezeran looks around the hall for Petaldan, intending to buy him some lemonade.
  10. Hey, you know what? I don't want to fight with you, I just wanted to tell you to consider what the others were saying because I truly believe that you are experienced and in my book that means a responsibility to try and include other players and not bickering with them and pulling the "I'm experienced"-card.
  11. Wow, so now it's because I'm swedish? Degrading people because of their nationality? Great contribution to the community buddy! I guess many of us are swedish then since I'm not the only one voicing this kind of feedback (see above).
  12. "You have great potential just because you are patient and have a good judgement. Now how about trying to channel from gems?" Ezeran pulls forth a selection of gems. "Pick one and make the chair your target! Try to restrain yourself from the lure of channeling to much!"
  13. Lovely contradiction in your roleplaying-philosophy: "Don't interfere in what my character is doing, he is more experienced than yours. . [...] Just roleplay and have fun!" Yeah it's great fun seeing more experienced players gracing their fellow less experienced players with such tender generosity and tolerance!
  14. Ezeran nods. "Not everything is solved by violence or magic, your mission was to transport the chair from the other end of the room to here. Is it a threat? Probably not! How would I do it?" Ezeran takes his time and strolls to the other side of the room, picks up the chair and drags it back to the table where they were sitting. "Magic is power and power means corruption, be wary of it and respect it! Sometimes there are more mundane solutions that works just fine! Ezeran smiles. "Hey, this wooden lecture took me years to understand! You're doing great buddy!"
  15. I'm going to be blunt here: it seems you have a hard time tolerating that characters might disagree with your character or that people might choose to roleplay their characters by different means and by different standards than yours. WBD is right in that it is off-putting, I found it strange that your character thought of my character as a sociopath for critizising your characters not so subtle threats (isn't that ironic?). Your reactions were part of the problem you tried to solve! If you truly want to play a character that is "my way or the highway" then try not to be so rude in person! This quest was a terrific experience in many ways but your lack of tolerance was off-putting.
  16. "What was your mission?"
  17. "Is the chair an acute threat? Can you solve the problem without magic somehow?" Ezeran awaits Toralds response.
  18. Ezeran nods and raises an eyebrow. Ezeran takes the chair, puts it back beside the fireplace and goes back to Torald. "Before you continue, please describe the chair and try to see this as a tactical situation."
  19. Ezeran nods. "Good, good. Okay, transport that chair over here." Ezeran points at a chair far away over at the fire place.
  20. Without opening his eyes Ezeran smiles and points at the table. Suddenly an ale was there, foaming within an arms reach from Torald. "Treat yourself friend, you've earned it!" The symbiont flickered his tongue in the direction of Torald, almost like a lizard smelling the air. "Ah, I can feel your presence now! You are touching the ether but you can't really form anything out of it yet." Ezerans eyes opens suddenly. "Have these dice! Try rolling them some and focus on specific outcomes!" He gives Torald six multicoloured dice.
  21. Ezeran enters the hall. His steps are slow and tired as he slumps down in a chair with a glass of mulled wine. Closing his eyes he relaxes as hi feeds the symbiont pork crisps.
  22. I'll try and give my perspective at some of the things you commented: - I honestly had a hard time understanding the things Germ said and did, he's so irrational and hard to pin point that it's hard for your character to relate and communicate with him. I don't know if this is an intention on your part or merely a symptom of him not fitting in in this context. - Ezeran might seem a blank to you but it's quiet deliberate on my part: 1. He's normally an informal leader that takes the lead, when Hoke didn't listen to him he naturally fell back and let Hoke take command. Nothing strange about that really. 2. This was an emotional journey for Ezeran in that he travelled to relevant regions to his past and connected with his father. This naturally has emotional consequences that he internalizes. Roleplaying in this respect is not only what is being said and being done but also what is NOT being said and done. So while the interactions with other RP:s are quiet low key this is still a pivotal quest to the development of him as a character. - Yes, I agree that Hoke seemed annoyed at everyone and seemed a bit imposing, but I would let UsernameMDM comment upon the issue because it could be a highly conscious role playing strategy.
  23. Hoke was indeed a bit to imposing, it could have been a more dynamic affair and I personally let Ezeran take more of a back seat because of it. Sadly the dynamic was missing and the interactions became bland.
  24. Ezeran bows once more. "I hope that our work will be the stepping stone for a brighter future. Glad to be of service!" Ezeran returns the items he borrowed from Hoke and nods to him. "Thanks for the loan!" He then nods towards the others and smiles towards Torald. "The first ale is on me my friend!" The symbiont drools at the prospect of salty snacks and beverages. Ezeran heads back to the Hall. OoC: Stats looks ok! Thanks for the awesome quest WBD!
  25. Ezeran smiles and bows. "We had great help from a weather mage called Augusta, please see to it that she will be treated with respect in the future as well!"
