  1. The Metasimians (well, the followers of Orang Pendek at any rate) believe in reincarnation, so they don't really have a concept of Heaven/Hell. Zepher does! Quickly, get back to the Hall and sign up for it! I'm faced with the possibility of a Hinckwell supporter and a Witch, I need back up!
  2. Hoptet doesn't care about either Hinckwells or Shadeaux. Take him. I won't be biased against the Hinckwells. Not at all. Take Hoptet.
  3. Well, you better prepared to miss a thing, because there'll be no Hinckwell rep with me! You'd better walk this way towards the path of the Shadeaux. This'll be Armageddon for Arasmyth! Zepher, if Kadabra and I both get on your quest, can we split the party in two as not to cause conflict and terrible puns?
  4. No! I want my Dragoon! Noooo! Dragoooon! See, this guy gets it!
  5. "Yes, although I don't believe it's small, there's just less in it. And, haha, no, I'm no relation to those ruffians, I assure you. Very few of my family would acknowledge civilization exists beyond the Mistlands treetops, and even less would venture out!" His eye's widened, his breathe sharpened, his face contorted into a face of worry. The revelation shocked Thothwick, being far worse than he imagined. Still trying to process the information, Thothwick excused the Metasimians from Gut's presence. He thanked him with genuine thanks, but with a voice that suggested the majority of his thoughts were focused elsewhere. "Thank you, Guts, that's ... that's very kind of you; I appreciate the... information, thank you. Take care, t-thank you." Hoptet raised his hand in thanks to Guts, and returned the polite nod. After leaving his partner a moment to think, Hoptet interrupted Thothwicks concentration. "Bad?" Thothwick bit his lip, and shook his head. "Worse."
  6. I wouldn't sign up for Quest 84 if I were you, because if I get on it I shall do everything in my power to get Shadeaux rep!
  7. "Good to see you again, Mr. Holla! I do hope your well, but I'm afraid time is rather of the essence, and I just wanted to ask a question. I saw you interacting with my cousin, Byblos, and me and Hoptet - oh, I don't believe you've had the pleasure! Mr. Holla - Hoptet, Hoptet - Mr. Holla." "Hello fellow, hero! Have yo-" "Now... where was I? Ah, yes. Byblos, he looks off. Did he say anything out of the ordinary whilst conversing with you?"
  8. Just so you all know, I'm not trying to take up two spaces on Quest 85. I only made Hoptet sign up for roleplaying purposes, thinking it is about time he signed up for a Quest!
  9. Thothwick re-entered the Hall, fresh from a browse around the market place. Upon entering, he noticed Hoptet walking away from the Dragon Lord. "Enjoy your history lesson?" "Heroica past... odd." "A quality it has retained to this day." The two chuckled at the joke, the creator of which had first hand experience of such quirkiness. They turned towards the Saloon, before noticing Byblos siging up for a Quest. When they had last seen eachother - shortly before the couple departed for their vacation - Byblos look pale, and rather tired, a problem attributed to his busy schedule and lack of daylight. Now he looked far more gaunt, and even slimmer than before. As soon as they stepped towards him, he scurried off towards his Library. The couple walked towards the Quest Board, and saw the Quest he signed up for. Without hesitation, Hoptet signed up for Quest #85: Visions of an Unblinking Terror. "What are you doing?" "We Metasimians be good to stick together. Especially in Heroica." Beaming, Thothwick too signed up for Quest #85: Visions of an Unblinking Terror. He turned to leave the board, before noticing the word 'Shadeaux'. Ever since he met them at the founders day ball, he had yearned to meet them more. Determined to produce an understanding between the feuding families, Thothwick also signed up for Quest #84: Bad Blood. Turning, he saw a familiar face. "Excuse me, Mr. Holla!"
  10. A Witch walks into a bar. Dies.
  11. Why not Skrall, as you've just quoted Waterbrick Down, and when the character reviews were done people typically reviewed the poster above them.
  12. Poultry allergy it is!
  13. How is Thothwick to mindlessly hate Atramor now?
  14. Either that, or you're making plans to advance into a Necromancer!
  15. Whoops. Completely forgot their classes. But yeah, the Valkyrie was a Battle Mage.
  16. Well, the Dragon Lord is a Dragoon, so he's got close ties with the Shadeaux, and the Valkyrie is the only one who appears to be an Ether user, which suggests Ziegfried ties (doesn't confirm, but for linkings sake). Also, the Norns worship Helvetia, the Goddess of Necromancy, so I'd assume there'd be major tie-ins with her and the Ziegfrieds. So, is the link between Veterans and Houses not a common assumption? I thought it was done to demonstrate just how ingrained the Houses are both to the Eubric way of life, and Heroica itself.
  17. Yep, each links to a house, though several are (at least to me) unknown: The Falconer - Bonapartes The Valkeyrie - Ziegfrieds The Dragon Lord - Shadeaux The Sand Queen - Unknown The Feathered Serpent - Unknown The Copper Fox - Unknown Scheherazade - Wolfgang
  18. So... was Lothoros linked to the Zeigfrieds (he didn't strike me to have the appearance of one who would), or was he linked to another house? Then again, I guess he doens't need to be an Ether user to represent a House. Not all of the other veterans have obvious links.
  19. Or if Shadeaux rep is on offer!
  20. Does it give two doses of Shadeaux rep?
  21. Beautiful! I felt a strange tingling sensation seeing the God I created alongside the others. They too look great, but what about (Sir) Njordon the Sea God?
  22. Whilst writing my previous post, I noticed something quite odd. All Metasimian heroes have spent some of their first quest locked-up. Byblos apparently spent the majority of his first and only quest in a jail cell, Thothwick spent most of his first quest in the dungeons of Wren, and Hoptet, on what was technically his first quest, started off imprisoned in the menagerie!
  23. Quest 14: The Family Recipe - So much of Thothwick can be traced back to this quest. Two of his main character arcs - his hatred of Witches, and love of Hoptet - both started here. This Quest has cemented his character so much in my mind, that I can't envision what he'd be like if he had gone on Quest 15 instead. Quest 53: Chaos in Eubric - Despite getting off on the wrong foot with several of his colleagues, he witnessed the downfall of one of his enemies (showing that witches in fact aren't impervious to damage), and grew a deeper mistrust of Atramor, fuelling Thothwick's greatest relationships with another PC. Quest 30: Ambassadors of Dastan - A very close third place, this Quest saw the beginning of his relationship with Atramor, the building blocks that would lead to the formation of S.O.W. His admiration of Dragons also started here, which will lead him into his Master Class. His rationality was also demonstrated on this quest, during the confrontation with Constance. Quest 66: WANTED! Steerpike the Poisoner - Baba's return, the knowledge that Bluto is alive, the first member of S.O.W, and his increasing friendship with the Ziegfrieds. Whilst it does help his character advancement, there was a lot of continuing plots, with none resolved, and no major new ones (except a mistrust of the Wolfgang, which may develop more should he meet any more of them). Quest 43: Protect my Brother - No major character development, but he did get a chance to show of his charitable/gullible side with the beggars. He also showed some slight leadership qualities when leading the cause to not assist the Bonapartes, and demonstrated his value of life by not joining in the slaughter. Quest 7: The Arena - He spent over half the quest imprisoned, and the short amount of time he spent outside of it was mostly fruitless, from a character-progression stand point.
  24. He's certainly one of the best, perhaps jointly with def. Two very good players, two different play styles. It'll take some serious debate to see which is the best, in my opinion.
  25. No, it shouldn't; this site is for over-eighteens. Any and all on this site who could see this video are mature enough. Have we seen any footage yet? Don't count it as a failure so soon.
