  1. Great job there, k-Nut! Happy holidays everyone!
  2. Really? Sorry, I thought I was being clever when the idea popped into my head when I was writing that. I'll edit in a different set. Thank you!
  3. Here's my idea's for a full wave. I've tried to centre it around RotK, as the first wave was mostly FotR/TT, and I know not of what will be included in the 'Hobbit', and 'There and Back Again'. Please excuse any LotR spelling mistakes! 1) Destroying the Ring Similar price to 9469. Includes Frodo, Golum, the Ring, and the scenery is the that inside the volcano.2) Meeting Treebeard Similar to 9470. Contains a brick-build Treebeard, Merry, Pippin and a small tree. 3) Haradrim ambush Similar price to 9471. Includes 'Mumakil' (could use Elephant mould from the Johnny Thunder sets), 3 Haradrim archers, One Mumakil 'driver', Rider of Rohan and a horse, and one orc. 4) Halls of Gondor Similar price to 9272. Includes Denethor, Faramir, Gandalf the White, 2 Gondor guards. Scenery could be the throne of Gondor, the White tree, the cremation parlour, the beacon, etc. 5) Last Alliance Similar price to 9473. Elrond, Gil-Galad, Isildur, Elendil, Sauron (might need Woody-size legs), 3 orcs. Scenery could be the slopes of Mt. Doom. 6) Pelennor Fields Similar price to 9474. Includes Theoden, Gamling, Eowyn, Merry, Gothmog, 3 Orcs, the Witchking (and Fell Beast), and a part of the wall of Minas Tirith. Could be combined with 3 and 4 for a large battle!
  4. Looks like Sylph is now a little less 'unknown'!
  5. "I recommend we head back to the city, in particular, the souk. I'd like to purchase the perfume, and then trek to the Kalakita bog, in order to collect the water, but avoid a fight with the Wyvern."
  6. "Blasted critters! Hang in there Mr, Nahai! I'll attack the Golden Scorpion with my Sabre from back row".
  7. Fear me and my raffle-rigging powers, puny mortals!
  8. "Hark! Not such a bad aim for an old Metasimian, eh? I'll attack the Golden Scorpion with my Sabre, from the front row, let us see if my aim is as good up close!"
  9. "Ah! We've unearth them! Well done, Ms. Cinna! I shall attack Ebony Scorpion A with my Shuriken, from the back row."
  10. "Ms. Cinna, how are you planning on dividing all this sand between the party? I feel we should give them to Bluto; it would be impolite to let him go back empty-handed"
  11. I also suspect it might also be confused with a child's skeleton, which may cause some controversy for TLC. I sure hope so; I'd love to see my favourite character immortalized in Lego!
  12. I certainly hope so. I imagine they'd separate them over the entire Hobbit wave, like how they handled the Fellowship.
  13. Yes, but how much can you do with the Joker that hasn't been done before? How could they portray him in an original way? Hysterical - oh no, that's Nicholson/Hamill. Sadistic - oh no, that's Ledgar. What are his criminal goals? Take over Gotham? Done. Kidnap the Mayor? Done X58. He's Batman's arch-nemesis because everybody who portrays him makes it so. As much as I like the Joker, he is an old hat, and one that could do with a couple of years on the rack, allowing others to get the spotlight for a while. And by the way, Professor Pyg is a deranged doctor whom kidnaps random people to make them 'beautiful'. They often end up hideously gored, and are hypnotised to follow his every order (A cross between Zsasz, and the Mad Hatter). Yeah, wasn't he the only person Bruce trusted to have a gun? I know that he never ran around with dual uzi's, but...
  14. Tell me about it; I've been here longer than Siegfried and Shadows!
  15. "Don't worry, Ms. Cinna! I'd rather see them dead/injured than asleep! It's a shame that I missed again, but hopefully I'll have better luck if I attack Scarab D from the front row with my Sabre!"
  16. "Very true, Mr. Nihai, I'll attack Scarab A from the front row, with my Sabre."
  17. Thothwick attacks Golden Scarab from the back row with the Shuriken!
  18. Well, seeing as this thread is back in the public eye, anyone looking forward to this new series, 'Beware the Batman'? Robin seems to have been replaced with 'Katana', Alfred's tray seems to have been replaced with duel pistols (which sort of makes sense, as he's the one Batman trusts to have a weapon), and Joker appears to have been replaced with Professor Pyg (I'm glad they're giving the Joker a break, he's the main antagonist in too many incarnations of Batman). Any idea who the people left and right of Pyg are? The only person I can think of is Mr. Toad, and I only know him from Penguin's custom minifigures!
  19. "I feel we should stay here, Ms. Cinna. Going back to the city, only to have to come back and wait for another day, would only waste time. I feel we'd be much better off spending the night here, and finding the scorpions in the morning."
  20. "Well, Mr. Docken, if my calculations are correct this could work to our favour; if we sleep till morning, find a scorpion during the day, and then head back to town, it should be night again, allowing us to visit the Necromancer/rescue Mr. Hopet/etc."
  21. I remember watching this mystery quite closely, and have been wondering what it was all about since it paused. I'm glad to see you've returned to finish it, but unfortunately it seems a few players have drifted into the realms of Eurobricks history. Whilst I am a big fan of mystery games, and would love to play a game similar to Red Moon, I have two large exams in mid-January, so I'm afraid I can't sign up to this.
  22. I've tried to fit as many realistic figures into my predictions: 9469 Gandalf Arrives Bilbo and Gandalf. His cart, and maybe a bit of the Bag End/The Shire. 9470 Shelob Attacks Shelob herself, with Frodo and Gollum. Maybe a bit of the caves/stairs, and possible Sam, though I doubt it. 9471 Uruk-hai Army Either a battle back (four Uruk-hai (likely all look-a-likes from nameless characters, but memorable characters from the film, e.g The Torch/explosive guy) and... ladders?), or Amon Hen, with Lurtz, Boromir, a few Urks, and maybe Pippin or Merry. 9472 Attack on Weathertop Some of the ruins, featuring Aragon, Frodo, the Witch King, and maybe a few other Ringwraiths/Hobbits. 9473 The Mines of Moria Probably Balins tomb, featuring Gandalf, Pippin (with a well!), Legolas, Gimli, and a few Orcs/skeletons. 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep Likely a long wall, with a few play features here and there. King Theoden, Eomer, Aragon, Legolas, Gimli, a few Urks. 9476 The Orc Forge Everyone seems to think it's the Uruk hai factory, but wouldn't that be Uruk-hai forge? My guess is that it's the One Rings forge. Smallest set of the wave, featuring a small forge, Sauron, and Orc, and maybe Elrond/Isildur. Maybe 9475 could be a Rivendel set, with Arwen and Elrond? And Warrick Davies too! (Flitwick, Griphook, Wicket, and Wald!)
  23. It's good to here that you have plans to host again, and I dare say that those changes will make for a greater game. I look forward to seeing it. Yeah, I tried to keep the love between myslef and K-nut ( ) prominent. I also tried to do things a Californian policeman would do, such as speak Spainish for the Hispanic population.
  24. I was google-ing for the 'The Batman' television show, when it brought me to a site called LegionsofGotham. I initially just read the fan fictions, but one day a thread caught my attention. A post held a link, leading to different site, Eurobricks. I explored the Licensed theme, and found many threads about Batman Lego, and... Harry Potter Lego too! And City Lego! And Space, and Castles, all being discussed, with mocs a-plenty! I joined up after a fortnight of stalking the site.
