The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day One
Professor Flitwick replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Baa-haa-haa! I know it is a certain way to nab a cultist, I did say it was 6/24 chances! Oh, and don't forget my little filly, that just because someone is active, it doesn't automatically mean they're innocent. Baa-haa-haa! Who would take any non-committed statement, or worse still, not speaking, with anything other than suspicion. Now, now, my little Janus, mind you manners; we're in the company of women, not in the Mess Hall, dontcha know? -

Baa-haa-haa! Takes me back to the Somme, where the chaps drew up a petition to try and force me over the top. I wanted to have a go at the hun, but I wasn't that desperate! Baa-haa-haa, come now my little filly, up until that point all you talked about was your article, and then not voting (which would definitely benefit the cultists; our chances go from ?/24, to 0/24!). Let's not forget, that at the time I suggested it, the shouting match between Fizwilliam and Ackbar was drawing to a close. What would you rather me do, pick a side in an argument that started over spam and lambs, or suggest voting for the quietest person when we were barely a third of the way through the day? Again, Mr. Nadia, what would you have me of done? As you yourself said, nobody is overly suspicious, and I'd find a random sacrifice to be clearer than voting for man because he's cooking spam, or declaring innocence, or not speaking up much when we weren't a third of the way through the day. It's a plan that has a... 6/24 chance of working (I believe those were the hypothesised statistics, Lieutenant. ), whereas voting for someone who hadn't spoken much at that time (a third of the way through the day!), or for any equally weak reason, would be a worse plan than shelling our own men when they sleep in the trenches! Baa-haa-haa! Ow, my voice is getting hoarse repeating myself. Look at the above reasons, and you'll see why I suggested it. -

Phraw! Sounds like my kind of chap, dontcha know! Loyal, good sense of humour, sounds like a fine body of a man! Now then, on to the subject of the sacrifice! I'm going to Vote: Ophelia Balls (fhomess). I found the whole charade of voting for Mr. Leplop, just to get the little filly, Ms. Taylor to vote, to be pointless, and relatively foolish, rather like a game of charades. I'm not sure if Leplop or Taylor are innocent, nor am I positive that Ms. Balls is a cult member, but I feel trying to waste two votes is rather absurd. I know I suggest a random sacrifice earlier, but it would obviously be pointless if the majority didn't agree to it, and was spiffingly useless in Ms. Balls' application. -

Baa-ha-ha! Oh Janus, you make me laugh; you know as well as I do that I can't time travel to suggest something earlier in the day! And why would you want me to comment in an argument in which I had nothing to add? Oh Janus, that pygmy woman with the sharp slice of mango may have grazed your arm, but she didn't damage your funny bone! Baa-ha-ha! I find it a bit barmy that you accuse me of being suspicious, when several other people didn't comment on the debate either! Also, now I've got your attention, I wanted to ask you something. How do you know there are exactly 6 cultists? -

Baa-haa-haa! All this reminds me of my brother, dontcha know? Takes me back to the fights we had trying to win matron's affection, dontcha know! Ah... splendid man... Died of Spainish Flu, dontcha know? ... Yes, never forgiven them for it... Phaw? Where was I? Yes, the sacrificing! Why not just draw a name out of a hat? Jolly spot of bad luck for the poor blighter, if he turns out to be innocent! If he's a cultist - or a Jerry! - then bully for us! Baa! -

Phwa? Scorpion balls? Bars made of Gold and Cocoa? Ha! Poppycock! Sounds like the food they used to give us back in India, in the Mess halls. Those were the days, dontcha know? Except for the heat - blistering - dontcha know? ... Rather like here... Phaw? Oh, yes, food! Spiffing! -

Phwa? A sacrifice? Made many a sacrifice in the field of battle, dontcha know! I still remember, in the Mboto Gorge, sending all those men to what might've been their deaths, but in the end, we reined supreme over the primitive pygmies! You know, Lieutenant, I still remember how you saved my life from that woman with the sharp slice of mango... where was I? Oh, yes, sacrifice, talli ho! -

[Huh, I almost forgot my abilities after being locked up so long.] [i know what it's like. I was locked up in an arena cell for a fortnight, and could barely throw a shuriken afterwords!] Hopet fully heals Cinna. -
I just recently concluded reading The Aeneid. It was a good read, however I prefer the mythology of Greek literature, to the Augustus Caeser worship of the Aeneid. I just kept reading it whilst wondering what Harry Potter would be like if it was just pro-Tony Blair propaganda. I did enjoy the crossover with the Odyssey, when Aeneas and co. find the Greek stranded on Polyphemus' island, left by a fleeing Odysseus.

["Thothwick, I was just doodling on the map, and I made this pattern. The red X's are areas Cinna has dung in yet, whereas the black ones are where something has been unearthed. Would you mind showing her this map, and asking here to dig in those locations."] Thothwick explains Hopets idea, and shows Cinna the map: -

"Well, we could afford it, only if we pooled all of our funds together. I'm not sure of the likelihood of this brigand returning, but don't recall ever knowing where else to find the last wish powder." Thothwick relays the current situation to his Metasimin companion, Hopet, and asks what he thinks. ["Well, if he doesn't return, all you'll be losing is 150 gold, gold which can be replaced when the Zeigfrieds pay you upon completion of the Quest. It's the best chance we had to pick up some of these items. I say take him up on his offer. -

Really sorry to hear that guys. I know it seems an odd thing to say considering we're speaking over computers, but we're all here to offer support to you in your time of grief.

Professor Flitwick replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Huzzah friends, we are halfway down! Now then, we can either go back to Shipwreck Shore, to the find the Black Pearl, in order to trade with the Necromancer for the Last Wish Powder, to get the undead unicron's horn. Or, we could journey to the Kalakita Bog, in order to get the water from Danab's fountain. If we're doing the later, I feel it may require stop off at the market, to buy some perfume to keep the Wyvern from attacking us." -

1) Eleven Mafia's, all of which can be found on my profile. 2) Mostly unavailable, I'm afraid; lots of revision over the next two to three weeks, and exams after that. You would do better to chose one of the many people who can participate more, and has the time to analyse/lie efficiently. 3) Best: Worst: Screwing up Hinck's vote tallying at the end of Prison Riot by voting incorrectly. You'd think one would learn after this many Mafia games (Prison Riot being my tenth), but... -

["Stick close and quiet, Hopet, we don't want to see you put back into captivity now, do we?"] "[Ha! I appreciate a sense of humour! Lead on, my friend. Wait, I have an idea. Why don't we hide in these walls until morning, when that lady and her entourage may have left, allowing us to take the flower without a fight?"] ["Good thinking Hopet! I'll tell the others..."] Thothwick retranslates Hopet's suggestion, eager to hear what his quest mates have to say... -

"Surely as a Druid, Hopet can use his animal talk, combined with his own experience in captivity, to try and convince the unicorn!" ["Come, fellow captive, would you rather pass up the opportunity of freedom, in favour of wasting our you remaining years here, in that cage? I was once held captive in these cages too, and took a chance and escaped with these noble heroes, and now I'm standing here free. You could be doing the same."] -

"I shall, Ms. Cinna." ["Thank you for joining us, Hopet. I'm sorry we've been quite a while rescuing you."] ["Thank you, Thothwick. Think nothing of it, I'm just happy to be free of my cage. So, why are you here?"] ["We are heroes, from the guild of Heroica (save for the boy, a stow-away on our ship here), her looking for ingredients to help save a elderly, powerful woman's life. Right now, we have to get an undead unicorn horn. From that poor creature over their."] ["Well, that explains your presence here. Seems a shame that poor creature has to die, but if it's to save the life of a sentient... Morals aside, thank you for releasing me."] ["You're welcome, I know I'd do it again in a heart beat. I've been looking forward to this since we met; I knew it would be nice to have you in the group."] -
