  1. After watching the first season of 'The West Wing', during which CJ mimes along to 'The Jackal': Eventually turned me on the the real song, which I find impossible to listen to without miming along to it myself!
  2. Upon being healed by the Elf Maiden, Thothwick jolted up too quickly and felt a pain over his waist, and vague, dusted footprints suggested someone had inadvertently trampled him mid-battle. After surveying the room, he surmised that he was lucky that was the worst of his wounds. "Thank you for healing me, my dear Elf maiden. It appears Orang Pendek has shed his grace upon us this day... Pardon? The battle has yet to cease? Excuse me, my dear!" At with that, Thothwick ran south, towards the sounds of battle.
  3. My, my, JimB, full of questions lately, aren't we? Just like Quest 2 was a precursor to Quest 15, Quest 3 was a precursor to Quest 14. The heroes (including the cunning and handsome Thothwick ) went to Salmanda, picked up some ingredients, and saved Zelda's life. She was later featured in Quest 33, up and about protecting Zeigfried manor, so I'd assume the operation was a success. Zepher's first Quest (Quest 7, the Arena) took place in the High Kingdoms, and did his second Quest, Quest 17 'Let's start a Riot'. None have as of yet, but all we know it is the home of the Metasimians.
  4. I agree. I actually forgot about one or two of these Quests, so this is a great refresher course in what has happened in Eubric so far. When can we expect the next batch of Quest recaps?
  5. Cool map, Sandy, nice to see where everything is on Uland. It's suddenly dawned on me, Thothwick has never been on a Quest on Uland, save for a small part of Quest 14 (which can't be considered as taking place on Uland, as the main bulk took place in Salmanda). The Jolly Roger's Grotto is located on the 'Maps of the Free Islands and the Surrounding Areas' map, located beneath the new map in the library. It's north of Uland.
  6. Thothwick, a Hero who is Worth Something, a 44 year old Metasimian Level: 25 Black Knight *Damage Undead* *Immune to Stunned* Power: 39 (35 Ranged) (+2 due to cookies) Defence: 10 Health: 40 Gold: 324 Equipment: Banana Sabre (WP:13, Heals Metasimians when used on them), Skull Shield (SP:6; immunity to darkness-elemental damage; suitable to Black Knights only), Black Knight's Armour (SP:4, protects from stunned-effect), Cultist's Hat (regular attacks do Damage to Undead) Inventory: Shuriken (WP 8), Sabre (WP 10), Hinckwell Spear (WP: 4), 1 Traveller's Cloak (Backwear SP: 1), 1 Bedroll, 1 Telescope, 3 Cosmic Essences, 5 Deadly venoms, 5 Grand Potions, 6 Meads, 1 Ambrosia, 1 Dragon Scale, 1 Potion, 1 Military Grade Ice Bomb, 1 Military Grade Darkness Bomb, Grand Zoot Cookie, Sapphire, Bluto's Hat
  7. I've had to ride the top bus for nigh-on every weekday for the past two years, and your recreation is instantly recognisable! Well done.
  8. Ooh... that makes me happier! I assumed what with Michonne being MIA, and the RV being smashed, that everyone (save Rick and Carl) died. Glad to know they didn't completely wipe the slate clean.
  9. *WARNING - Walking Dead spoilers below* I agree, that people like Patricia the farmhand, Axel the prisoner, and the Greene family (Hershel, Maggie and Billy) had long outlived their usefulness, but I felt that there were many key characters that were killed off and the end of the compendium (Lori, Dale, Glenn, Tyreese, Mihconne, etc) were pretty important, and now were just left with only Rick and Carl as the only living characters, at only 48 issues in, leading me to question the future of the series. It's not the fact that they died, it's more the fact that they died unceremoniously. I quite admire killing an important/main character if it's integral/important to the story/character development, but the Prison Massacrer felt unsatisfying. One the whole I really enjoyed 1-48, and look forward to reading 49-96, but I just hope it handles it's characters better.
  10. Well, it appears you do now.
  11. How about that picture of Sandy's, where all/most of the Hero's were in the Hall, and were staring at the camera? I recall that image gave off welcoming and celebratory feel.
  12. Thothwick nods in appreciation to man who heals him, and turns to attack Rogue Lion Commander B, from the front row, with his Sabre.
  13. As the two pressed North, the little Rogue was outpacing Thothwick, despite the latter being twice the size of the former. "My word, age really has caught up with me!" As he looked down, stopping but for a second to try and catch his breath, he saw a pink piece of paper on the floor, addressed to him. Thothwick scanned it excitedly, hearing of Miss Valentine Ziegfried's form of communication, and misjudging whom it was from. Realising it was lottery, organised by one of the Heroica Veterans, he signed up for it, intrigued at the prospect, but disappointed in himself for letting his hopes rise.
  14. Players have been banned on Quests before, like Kenghis Ghan/Spag Bitterstalk and Mibbiwocket/Olinn Whisperwind. Seeing as he won't ever be played as again, you don't need to give him money. If I were you, I'd just let him be controlled by another player for now, and have him wonder off in the conclusion. That way, people can use his character at a later date, should they wish.
  15. Thothwick continues north, into the Grand Hall.
  16. Thothwick watches the small rogue throw the smoke bomb, and follows him North, towards the throne room, following the advice of Skrall, picking up his Shuriken whilst running past it (OoC: if it's possible to do it in the same turn. If not, I'll just focus on moving).
  17. "Keep the petite hero's advice in mind, Mr. Harkenshire. I shall attack Lord Blackenord with my Sabre, from the front row!" William nodded in agreement, and mimed his attack. "Mr. Harkenshire wants to attack Lord Blackenord, twice, from the back row, with his repeating crossbow."
  18. I've just read the first Compendium (comprised of 46 issues/8 trade paperbacks) of the Walking Dead comics. I had recently seen the television series, and wanted to read the comics it was based on. I found it quite a good read, and enjoyed seeing how the television series wasn't a complete adaptation of the comic book series, with some characters outliving their comic book counterparts, others falling much sooner, and some characters only being in one of the formats. The only part of it I was disappointed with was the ending, where the Protagonist and one other survivor leaves (for want of a none-spoiling term) all of the characters we've come to know. It just seemed like a lazy way of wiping the slate clean for the next part of the story, but I hope the next compendium will make up for that. Despite the ending, I would recommend it to fans of the television show, and I also recommend playing the Walking Dead point-and-click adventure game by Telltale Games, as it's part of the comic book canon, and tells a good story that sometimes interlinks with the comic's story.
  19. "Don't relent to despair so soon, Mr. Phil. I shall attack Chimera Guard B with my Sabre, from the front row, and -" William displays a remarkable feat of flexibility, in order to tell Thothwick how he wishes to attack. "Mr. Harkenshire wants to attack Chimera Guard C and Chimera Guard E from the back row, with his repeating crossbow. I think."
  20. William, fresh from being revived, bows his head in thanks to the small hero who helped him, then proceeded to mine his actions to Thothwick. "Right. I shall attack Chimera Guard B with my Sabre, from the front row, and Mr. Harkenshire shall attack Chimera Guard C and Chimera Guard E from the back row, with his repeating crossbow."
  21. Congratulations on your latest bundle of joy!

  22. "Poor Mr. Harkenshire. He must have fallen fowl of Orang Pendek, to not have earned his blessing. I shall attack Chimera Guard D, from the front row with my Sabre!"
  23. "I'll attack Chimera Guard D, from the front row with my Sabre!" William, noting the Mages advice, alters his pantomime. "Mr. Harkenshire will attack Chimera Guard A and Chimera Guard B from the back row, with his Repeating Crossbow!"
  24. "Very well. Chaps, instead of running, we shall attack! I'll attack Chimera Guard D, from the back row, with my Shuriken! And -" William dances to convey his desired attack. "Mr. Harkenshire shall attack from the back row, with his Repeating Crossbow, against Lord Blackenord and Chimera Guard C! Ms. Calmcacil, how shall you and your Mage companion attack?"
  25. Wow, nice to see you've come back from the realms of Eurobricks inactivity. Welcome back! Hmm... Macoco returned to Mafia games for Jedi Temple Mafia, AwesomeStar for Excalibur, and now Adam returning for Police Infiltration. Who'll be next?
