  1. I'd love to see Platform 9 & 3/4 bookends; one with the Trio as first-years, and the other with them as adults (since Lego didn't include adult Ron and Hermione in the D2C Hogwarts Express for some inexplicable reason) to show their whole journey.
  2. When Jeremy Renner drove his snowplough to rescue his nephew from that snowdrift, did he run over a Lego designer's dog on the way or something?! Hawkeye's absence from the Marvel logo is baffling (and that's saying a lot, given the set's many glaring issues).
  3. Thunderbolts* has the problem that its marketing isn't revealing some of the main characters because it's too much of a spoiler for the whole movie. While comics fans know who "Bob" is, and that such a colourful character & their alter ego might make for an awesome Lego set, Marvel has decided to market the whole movie as a Suicide Squad-esque movie about a bunch of baddies with guns... which doesn't play very well with Lego's values. If the MCU was still generating huge profits for them, Lego might be willing to ignore their child-friendly values a bit (look at their Star Wars theme, for example), but since many MCU sets have been shelf-warmers in recent years, a set with a bunch of unfriendly mercenaries and no baddie to fight probably didn't seem worth the production costs for Lego.
  4. A delightfully devillish idea, but I'd guess that they'd save Skinner for a Springfield Elementary set, since he'd make a better exclusive for such a set. Hopefully the Krusty Burger will sell well, and we'll get the school as a D2C later along with Seymour and Super-Nintendo Chalmers.
  5. Next year’s CMF series 27 had leaked, and includes a long-haired cat. It’s not quite as stocky as Crookshanks, but it’s a closer fit than the usual cat piece Lego uses, so I’m hoping we’ll see it used in a future HP set.
  6. The one I'd love to see is Moe Szyslak. It would probably have to be in a CMF, since Lego's reluctance to depict alcohol means we probably won't get a Moe's Tavern set, but hopefully we'll finally get Springfield's ugliest bartender.
  7. Lego has made a small handful of HP sets without Harry himself in them; the recent Forbidden Forest and Potions classroom sets spring to mind, allowing other male characters to feature like Ron and Seamus. But yeah, DH Ron's continuing absence is starting to feel deliberate, only appearing in the MoM and Gringotts sets... in both of which he's transformed into another person! Poor Ron, always overlooked...
  8. Hopefully we'll get a few more X-Men '97 sets to tide us over next year, if only to pad out the roster of X-Mansion characters. They might be based on the '97 series now that enough time has passed that spoilers aren't an issue, or just generic comics-accurate X-Men sets featuring beloved characters (cough Wolverine)... just so long as it isn't just another X-Jet! If they wanted to help promote their X-Men sets, Lego could celebrate 25 years since the first X-Men movie with an anniversary set or two, but I'm not holding out hope for that one.
  9. All these Endgame sets, and still no proper Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nebula, Gamora or even War Machine in his finale armour. (No, the white Quantum Suits don't count IMO). I don't mind them throwing in a Chitauri or two for the good guys to attack, but I wish they'd plug a few more of these gaps if they're going to keep revisiting Endgame & the portals battle.
  10. They did; the Gringotts set! I'm hoping we'll get a Leaky Cauldron D2C sometime to bookend Diagon Alley opposite Gringotts.
  11. Young Justice: Super-Cycle Showdown Superboy, Lex Luthor, Mercy Graves (with robot arm), Wolf (molded) Super-Cycle vehicle for Superboy & Wolf, black limousine for Lex and Mercy A relatively small set as a child-friendly entry point Young Justice: Weapons Shipment Interception Robin, Miss Martian, Artemis, Queen Bee, Sportsmaster, Bialyan soldier (with flick-fire weapon, obviously) The Martian Bioship for the Team, an army truck with crates of New God weapons I considered Psimon for this set, but it wouldn't be Lego without a few missing characters, and his twin roles of psychic and baddie lieutenant are taken up by Queen Bee and Sportsmaster here Young Justice: Hall of Justice Magical Heist Kid Flash, Wonder Woman, Dr. Fate, Ra's al Ghul, Klarion, Teekl (molded) The frontage of the public Hall of Justice, with pictures of the Justice League and several display cases of artefacts inside for the Light to try and steal One of the artefacts on display might be a frozen piece of Starro; it was stored at STAR Labs in the show, but it would fit here as part of an exhibit about the exploits of the JL Not based on any particular episode; I considered the Tower of Fate for the "magic" themed set, but I decided that the Hall of Justice was too iconic to exclude Young Justice: League of Shadows Ninja Lair Batman, Robin, Artemis, Red Arrow, Ra's al Ghul, Cheshire, Ninja x2, Red Hooded Ninja A Batwing vehicle for the heroes, an Oriental-style dark fortress as Ra's al Ghul's headquarters which has various ninja weapons and a Lazarus pit inside One of the masked Ninjas comes with a red hood instead of the usual black... a cheap way of teasing a plotline in later seasons Young Justice: Mount Justice Infiltration Superboy, Aqualad, Red Tornado (whirlwind lower section), Black Manta, Sportsmaster, Sphere (brick-built) The Team's Mount Justice headquarters with training room, Wally's trophy collection, Boom Tube access and the central pool, and a submarine for the baddies to get inside with Other characters such as Miss Martian and Cheshire could be repeated here, or new characters like Black Canary or Rocket could be added, but I wanted to see how few minifigures I could include in a viable set Young Justice: Justice League Watchtower Takeover Superboy, Robin, Zatanna (with HP wand with stud on end), Superman (mind-controlled), Batman (mind-controlled), Wonder Woman (mind-controlled), Vandal Savage, Brain (brick-built), Monsieur Mallah (probably a re-printed gorilla mold, although that would mean not having the classic red beret) A playset of the Justice League's asteroid base with Boom Tube access and various rooms for our heroes to battle their mentors in The season 1 finale inspires the biggest set with the most characters, and can easily have other DC minifigs from other sets added to expand the JL roster beyond "just" the trinity for those who want a proper Watchtower set. Based on Young Justice's first season, these sets have a mix of set sizes and themes, each based around the different members of the villainous Light. Each set has both exclusive figures and repeat figures (because balancing cost efficiency with tempting customers to buy as many of the sets as possible is an interesting challenge).
  12. Another Spidey D2C seems most likely, since the Bugle must be close to the end of its run, although what it could be I don't know. Some people suggest OzCorp tower, but would a villain's lair be iconic enough to stand alongside the Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower? Midtown High is a possibility, as both a classic Spidey location and (I believe) the setting for the upcoming Friendly Neighbourhood cartoon series, but would Lego want to feature Spidey fighting supervillains in a high school setting? The X-Mansion is a school, true, but Midtown High would have a lot more unpowered civilians in harm's way. My dream would be the Baxter Building, with Spider-Man included to help promote it (and as an excuse to include Peter's Bombastic Bag-Man suit... you know, the one where he wears a spare F4 uniform and a paper bag over his head as a makeshift mask), but 2025 might be too soon for Lego to invest that heavily in an unproven corner of Marvel. Plus, we already have one blue and white NY skyscraper; the classic Baxter Building might be too similar. I'd love to see somewhere more exotic like Wakanda or Asgard or Knowhere, but would they really fit with the city buildings we've already gotten? Another American building like Iron Man's Malibu mansion seems more likely, since (as we've seen) Marvel is more than happy to return to the RDJ well. Avengers Compound (not destroyed, for once) or a comics-accurate Avengers Mansion are possible, as is the SHIELD Triskelion, as iconic and striking buildings associated with lots of popular characters. I'd guess Spider-Man or Iron Man will be the basis of the next D2C... which almost certainly means that I'm utterly wrong! Unless someone wants to leak the latest Lego survey prelims again, I'll just have to wait and see.
  13. I'm wondering what other sets might use the new Floo powder mechanism. Hogwarts isn't usually connected to the Floo Network, and I think the only exceptions to this were cut from the movies. The Ministry of Magic fireplaces would be ideal, but we've already had a MoM set recently which was based on DH, so maybe we might get an OotP set based on the Dumbledore v Voldemort duel sometime? The Leaky Cauldron also used Floo, but I don't think this was ever featured in the movies, and Lego has so far steered away from making a pub despite how iconic it is to the HP franchise.
  14. People have said this after Iron Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man & the Wasp, and every second movie in Phase 4 & 5. You'll forgive me if I'm bored of people saying this (yes, I'm showing my age here). The MCU has stumbled, and is now fighting to improve themselves before the new DCU can steal too much of their market share. That's business. Bringing back RDJ is a decision based on nostalgia? Well, so was X-Men '97. They've changed the entire Multiverse Saga out of desperation! That's entirely the fault of Jonathan Majors, take it up with him... just stay out of arms reach of him when you do so. All this means is that we will get more emphasis from Marvel on established and iconic characters. As both an MCU and a Lego Marvel fan, this is good news. Hopefully this means it's more likely to get minifigs of MCU Wolverine and other great characters (and maaaaybe even Wade himself) in the Doomsday & Secret Wars sets we're gonna get in a few years. Playing coy to avoid spoilers and focusing on obscure characters has backfired, so now they want to make the most of their biggest stars and characters. Good! And if you disagree (this is the internet, of course you disagree), well the whole MCU is getting rebooted after Secret Wars anyway, so just hang on a little bit and this whole messy saga will be over soon. So just enjoy the ride (or at least the tie-in Lego sets), and before long we'll all be moaning about how the Mutant Saga reboot is the true end of the MCU!
  15. With the exception of the R-rated Deadpool & Wolverine, every MCU movie in recent years has gotten at least one Lego set (although the buildable Ant-Man for Quantumania just barely qualifies IMO). It might be a single set with just the core team (similar to the Hoopty set for The Marvels) if Lego are cautious about potential sales and/or Marvel are worried about sharing spoilers, but hopefully we'll get a few sets akin to Wakanda Forever or GotG Vol. 3. The Fantastic Four are more familiar to the public than many other superheroes, so hopefully Lego will take full advantage to give us a good range of sets. Time will tell.
  16. As a completist, I'd love to get a Second Task Fleur with her own bubble-head to complete the champions lineup, but alas I don't think kid-friendly Lego is in any rush to create a sexy blonde in a skimpy swimsuit minifig. I'll just have to pretend Fleur's out of sight getting defeated by Grindylows, or MOC her in her robe recovering after the attack.
  17. The Dark Falcon and X-Fighter / TIE-Wing sets are up for pre-order on Lego.com. No sign yet of Jedi Bob's starfighter, but it can't be much longer now!
  18. Here's a different idea for a HP D2C... the Quidditch pitch. Iconic shape, lots of colourful banners and flags, and with transparent bars to hold two rival Quidditch teams in dramatic poses mid-air. Either a complete stadium or just one U-shaped half for a better display piece, it would be a nice change from the game-based Quidditch playsets we've had in the past.
  19. We're crying out for a Leaky Cauldron set, but that's more likely to be a D2C. Borgin & Burkes / Knockturn Alley would seem the most likely contender, since it's one of the few locations from the old theme not yet seen since the 2018 reboot.
  20. After seeing the picture of both an adult and infant para in the JP Visitor Center, I have to hope that Lego might realise they're missing a trick and make one (maybe in a Lost World set). Bonus points if they include a pin-hole in the para's mouth so you can add the dragon fire piece to its mouth as reference to the meme of parasaurolophus being able to breath fire!
  21. Not much call for an Owen Grady minifig in a Jurassic Park line... unless they included the kid at Alan Grant's archaeological dig who calls raptors a "six foot turkey" (who some fans are convinced is a young Owen!)
  22. I hope that we might get HP diorama sets like the Star Wars ones. Key scenes you can display, with a quotation attached to the base, which would be useful for getting minifigs from scenes withour much playset potential. Getting the epilogue scene with the older trio would be perfect for this sort of set, especially since Lego has recently made several smaller versions of D2C HP sets for people who don't want / can't afford the more expensive sets, so a smaller set with a repeat of adult Harry isn't out of the question.
  23. Speaking of reusing new parts, I noticed that the powerlifting arm on the new CMF M-Tron space figure looks rather familiar, and I'm wondering how long before we see it recoloured for Doc Ock's tentacle arms! Do CMF molds still become available to produce mainline sets after a while?
  24. The Fantastic Four: Baxter Building Cosmic Lab Mr. Fantastic (Ms. Marvel / Elasti-Girl arms), Invisible Woman (semi-transparent minifig), H.E.R.B.I.E. (brick-built) Small starter set with an art-deco sixties computer console for Reed, and a scanning booth for Sue where her powers are being tested. The Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer Skirmish Human Torch (flame on, power blast flames), Invisible Woman (visible, transparent shield pieces), Silver Surfer Fantasti-Car vehicle (with flick-fire weapons; it IS Lego, after all), Silver Surfer's surfboard, New York street corner (news stand announces "Astronauts Caught in Cosmic Storm!") The Fantastic Four: The Coming of Galactus! Mr. Fantastic (with Ultimate Nullifer weapon), the Thing (bigfig), Human Torch (flame off variant) Brick-built Galactus main build (ala Arishem in Eternals), Fantastic Four rocket sidebuild X-Men: Wolverine X-Force Mission Wolverine, Cable, Deadpool, Cassandra Nova Wild Sentinel main build (serves as a vehicle for Cassandra Nova), and a small helicopter for X-Force There's no way in heck that Lego will make a Deadpool set... but they might make an X-Men Wolverine set with some familiar faces!
  25. The Leaky Cauldron is as much a hotel as it is a pub, as seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban. If Lego wanted to, they could focus on the inn side of the business, such as Harry's rented room (where he gets attacked by the Monster Book of Monsters in the movie) and the parlour room (where Harry meets Cornelius Fudge and the hunchbacked Tom). Add the magical brick wall entrance to Diagon Alley, and you've got yourself an accurate HP set without any unwelcome alcohol references. Given that we've already had the Three Broomsticks pub, I have to imagine that Lego are saving the Leaky Cauldron for a future D2C, rather than being unwilling to make it at all.
