  1. The sleeve is a bit thick but the wires inside are pretty thin. Also they were naked half a cm before the LED, making it even easier. But still not hair-thin like what you're talking about, I've seen those yeah. I'd be worried though, I accidentally unsoldered another LED pressing the stud too much.
  2. Pretty easy to find a Bar 3L in flat silver on Ali. However, flat silver is kind of a special color, not sure it's gonna match Lego's 100% perfectly.
  3. Lego changed pearl gold on purpose not so long ago. Slight color differences however are production problems and aren't anything new. And no color is immune.
  4. How frigging cool is this? Years ago I had posted about "fishing LEDs" that are pretty much 3mm LEGO-bar-sized batteries with a LED attached. And I've used them a bit but they're still a bit too long. Here I needed something for the eyes of my T-800, but didn't really wanna have to pass wires through everything until a large box, so I checked out for other options. Remember i-Brix? Well Ali is filled with induction LED kits now. I loved the idea, but it really seems that the range isn't great at all, and the lights themselves are quite big. So I found these. It's pretty much the size of the battery, + the wires that the seller cuts on demand, and the second tiniest LEDs out there. Pretty amazing. Wires are still thick and I had to cut through my support part, but well it's that or it's wonky on the stud, it will always be a problem I guess. And the switch is frigging magnetic, you just swipe a magnet over the head and the eyes light up! Not gonna change anything in the world of modular lighting, but it's pretty amazing for mechs & vehicles.
  5. All the good/useful stuff already out of stock, "lol" I guess I'll keep making this one out of the more powerful chinese brackets, until Lego allows us to buy legit ones
  6. I don't know if this really matters, but the ring of the new 78258 "2L bar" has been made 1 precise plate thick. In reality it's slightly less than that (I don't know the exact metrics though, it's a tiny difference), making that pesky ring even more annoying in the LDD than it already is in reality. But perhaps it really is 1 plate thick due to a slight flange towards the bar, I don't know. What's more annoying is that there are various moulds for the classic 2x2 round brick, with different depth at which the axle cross starts. But only one version in the LDD in which that same 2L bar gets blocked pretty early, while I the most common mould allows for the ring to go fully inside the brick. Fortunately we can substiture for part 92947 (round brick with side notches), for which the cross is deeper, and that doesn't actually block (at all, lol) the ring.
  7. It's funny that last month Lego listed these under a new ID, and removed the old versions. I got them and they are exactly the same, with a tiny support added in the middle inside. But right now you can only buy the right of the new mould, and the left of the old mould.
  8. They're here in Belgium - I've placed an order a few hours ago Most parts from january, with some missing. Almost none from february.
  9. Thanks part 68325. It only appeared in 2020 so I couldn't use it in V1.
  10. Since I saw a couple of good MF's passing by recently, here's a quick update on my V2 that has been gathering dust for a couple of months waiting for printed tiles for the prong holes.
  11. Yeah I generally get a couple of large scratches in sets bags, but microscratches occur when tossing parts, even lightly but for long times, so normally a kid playing. Only thing, that windscreen came out in 2020 and only in a few "adult" sets, so it's less likely to find it "used" by a kid. Technically it could happen in a set's bag, but it'd really require shaking the box a lot & on purpose.
  12. Quite surprisingly, I got my windshield in a ziplock bag, in my B&P order! Well the orange one wasn't, and is slightly scuffed, but the larger one is in a PRISTINE state, there is not a single microscratch. You can't get that in a set. Well done Lego. I'm wondering if the one (left) I got from Bricklink was really new from a set. It's fully covered with microscratches, you'd have to shake a box for days to get this. But why would a seller bother to double-protect a used windshield with an adhesive cover and a ziplock just to mark it as new for just 1 buck?
  13. I've recently ordered 2x a medium canopy that I need for a MOC, on BL and PAB, thinking I'd just use whichever is in the best condition (it matters on pictures). I just got my BL order and while it's perfectly packed, both inside a bag AND protected by an adhesive sheet, it's all scratched underneath. In a state that would really mean "very scratched" by past BL standards. And yet I can't even blame the seller who did his best, canopies really come in that state in sets. And most likely the PAB one is gonna be as bad. Same thing for a trans yellow canopy I recently got in a BL order. It was all scratched, while there's no way it was from a "used" set, as it comes from the Lightyear movie set. It's really both a few large scratches and lots of microscratches, like a kid has been playing with them for years, it's pretty bad with the new material. Scratch that, with the old material microscratches came with time, but large scratches were rare enough. I paid twice as much for the PAB canopy as I paid on BL, let's see if it comes with any protection and free of scratches..
  14. indeed, could be the reason But since the pretzel is featured in The Office set, I assume the source is that one. Edit: ah, parts are coming Most non-licensed parts from october seem to be there, except a few. Like, the mirror of this for some reason Also this is a pretty strange part. One end fits an existing curve, but the other doesn't. I hope they plan to release a new curve that fits.
  15. And now the whole PAB UI is gone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. 6309258 As well as a medium nougat pretzel, which doesn't seem any new to me. The only 2 additions so far.
  17. New head from october's The Office set, more coming up I guess. Also this one finally in stock
  18. The price of new "set unique" parts seem to strangely align with the (albeit lowest) ones on BL now, which is something Lego can do now that they release them months after they've been sold on BL. BL prices are purely based on offer & demand, Lego's ones are the worst of both worlds, the highest of demand and production cost. But where the difference is is that it's Lego itself that creates the offer, they control it all. There are reasons for 3 bits of cloths to be worth 12 bucks on BrickLink, because no seller on BL controls the production. Lots of large parts that no MOCer wants, can be found for 1 cent on BL, and 1 buck on B&P. Lego is never gonna sell them for 1 cent, they just won't produce them if there's no one to buy. But on BL sellers are left with those parts, if no one wants them then they have to go for nothing. Then you have rare parts that BL sellers sell for big bucks, and now Lego can align to those prices as well. It's the best for BL sellers I guess, but not for buyers. We're only lucky that sometimes they decide to produce more of a non-licensed, useful part that's only found in one set, & break the BL prices. Personally it doesn't bother me that much because I'm more a MOCer than a collector and I've never much cared about Lego animals (I feel sorry for collectors with those horrible prices) and as for printed parts it's often cheaper to get something custom-printed than to buy a Lego one anyway (and yeah custom UV prints aren't as good as pad prints, but I don't know what's worth between a UV print and a misaligned pad-printed Lego). But it bothers me when they release a useful, basic part, and artificially keep the prices high. Like for the new 1x5 plates, which I ended up buying in China (and before someone accuses me of talking about clones again, I'll remind that 1x5 plates have existed as other brands way before Lego, so technically Lego is the ripoff here, and I bought the legit ones lol. But hey I'd have preferred to buy Lego ones)
  19. 11 bucks for 3 little bits of cloth, doesn't sound like a bargain to me (but I guess Lego knows how to create artificial value, even easier now that they also own Bricklink and delay part releases)
  20. it would be amazing if Lego was *only* charging parts 5x what it costs them to make
  21. only whenever B&P updates, so more like once every 3 months
  22. I think B&P has known its best days pre-merging, when all new parts popped up at the beginning of the month. Now it's lagging over 3 months behind (UCS Razor Crest is over 3 months old now, parts not there), & it's absurdly overpriced. I'll keep giving my money to competitors. I'd also boycott sets but I'm afraid I'd be the only one annoyed.
  23. Well if you think of it, a Lego box has only one other purpose than containing the bags: to attract the eye on a shelf/present the set for someone to buy it. But when you buy online you don't need that, you've already bought it - unless it's a gift then I'd agree. But I'm pretty sure that most want pristine boxes for reselling later, which isn't a good reason to get angry when a box arrives dented IMHO. In fact, I wouldn't even mind Lego doing grey/simpler & more tightly packed (since the size doesn't have to reflect the price when you buy online) for Amazon or other online resellers. I'd even dig boxes without a manual if that reduces the price, as things have changed and we all have computers. Amazon should just put a sticker on a grey box and ship it. I've actually received Lego boxes like that, which isn't supposed to be a thing because the delivery guy isn't supposed to know what you're buying... yeah I've noticed that for wedge pairs. It makes sense when only one side has been produced for a specific set, but for light yellow they both come from the same set. Quite possible that they set prices very loosely (afterall the price of a part is mostly profit & subjective)
  24. I know Lego sends for cheap, but a little part has nearly zero value, there's no doubt that the processing+shipping costed way more and wasted way more resources. I find it silly when you order frequently enough and you can just add it again to your next order instead. (that said, talking about B&P missing parts, I don't understand how simply weighing the bag of parts (Lego certainly knows the precise weight of each part) wouldn't fix the problem)
