  1. Lego actually made a Flying Dutchman once, so it would be easy to release it, the R and D is done.
  2. I like them, where did you get that green torso?
  3. I want a 6th film and I want a FD. I want it all!!!
  4. Here is MY Red Kingdom, might be of some interest.
  5. I made a video comparing the SM and the IFS, just so folks can get an idea how BIG the SM really is. I also have videos comparing the SM to the QAR and BP on the way.
  6. We most likely will be putting the sails up fairly soon. Brick Link inventory hasn't been updated for this set yet, and I don't want to do it, lol.
  7. Check out my store If you are interested in the minifigs or sharks. Look under SETS because the Silent Mary inventory isn't available yet. https://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=jjohnson1675&utm_content=globalnav#/splash
  8. @Scarilian, I VERY much plan on doing comparison videos with the BP, QAR, and IFS. I would consider doing more if requested.
  9. Here is my review @Scarilian, I'm going to be honest with you, I was ORIGINALLY quite a bit more harsh on it in my review, and I decided to cut some of my criticisms out of the review? Why? For one, the ship IS growing on me. For two, my review was already almost a half hour long, so I needed to trim some fat. For three, As a LONG time pirates fan, giving an average review could talk some people out of buying it, and I don't want that. I want as many pirates ships as possible, so the more people that buy this set, the more ships Lego will make. (having said all of that, I still addressed the biggest problems I had with it). Finally, I really had a hard time trying to place it within my collection. The flaws keep it from the #1 spot yes, but surely it's better than TBB or BP. So where exactly DOES it rank? I still haven't been able to answer that question, to be honest. I need more time with it, I need to see the movie, etc. The ONLY definitive statement I can make is this, it's NOT better than the IFS, but that's it. Is it better than the BSB or SES? Maybe, just maybe. Is it better than the BP and QAR? Probably, and I really like the QAR. Its hard for me to say a ship without cannons and a hull is my 2nd favorite Lego ship, but I might be leaning that way.
  10. Is the set growing on others as well, or is it just me. I don't want to say I was "hard" on it during my review, because the scale DOES bother me. After I set it next to my other ships though, it does feel better. IMO it's easily a top 5 lego pirate ship, it's not #1 though. The IFS still holds the crown, but the SM is growing on me. I would say it's better than the BP, and the QAR is debatable. The SES and BSB are also debatable, but every other Lego ship it is superior than, even with the scale issues.
  11. I had NO issues with anything missing.
  12. My review for the set should be up today. I'll say a few things about it right now, it's a very beautiful ship and a fun build. It does have some things I don't like about it though, besides the obvious no hull. The scale issues DO bother me, the rear sail is not as high as it should be. The overall height of the ship (not the masts, but the "hull") is actually pretty cool. It sits quite a bit higher than most Lego Pirate ships. It's also a lot sturdier than it looks. It's a really SOLID final model, you don't expect it to be this SOLID. That's all I'll say for now. ?
  13. I have 2 SM's. One to keep and another for inventory for my BL store. If you are interested in the minifigs or sharks, I plan on getting them up asap.
  14. I'll be picking it up tomorrow ?
  15. Ok everybody, is the release the 16th or 17th? I seem to be getting conflicting reports. I just want plan accordianly.
  16. I agree that the future of the series is very much up in the air at the moment. Having said that, I think they made a good movie, and they know it. THIS film will reignite interest in the series I believe, and I think they have already noticed that. I am hoping that they secretly made 2 movies all at once, but have kept it all hush hush. Even Lego themselves have been hush hush about more sets, which adds to the mystery. I also agree that saying "the final adventure begins" was an interesting choice of words. My guess is, they had SO much material to work with that they expanded upon certain aspects (hence the reshoots) and are indeed splitting it into 2 films. My guess is the whole Will/Flying Dutchman/and Elisabeth Swann story line will be saved for the last film. Will and the Dutchman will show up at the end and save the day, cut to credits. I also think that's why we haven't seen a Flying Dutchman set yet, Lego knows we want it and are saving it for the final film. Lego's official response to these questions were very cryptic, but didn't shoot down the idea either. For a comparison I would use the Hobbit films as an example, not the Pirates 2 and 3. They always planned on Pirates 2 and 3 being separate films, and didn't hide that fact. With the Hobbit films, they had SO much material to work with that they stretched it into 3 films when originally or was supposed to be 2. Which they didn't even announce it was 3 films until the 2nd film was near release. I think that's what's happening here. We will find out it's actually 2 films close to the release, they just don't want to kill the anticipation for THIS film by saying "oh btw, it's part 1 of 2". I just hope the 6th film isn't a "tag along" like The Battle of 5 Armies felt like. Which all the places they can go with Will storyline, I don't believe it is. Also I have to add, with what I have seen from the latest trailer, I think this story is strong enough to support 2 films like 2 and 3.
  17. Thanks. When she (my wife) designed it, the whole roof section was BY FAR the hardest part. Making it a modular type design, all while giving it the proper look, etc turned out to be quite difficult. I can't really speak on why she chose the pieces she did, because again I didn't design it, lol. I see what you are saying about the sand green, it would have given it a more "full" type apperance. Thanks for the feedback.
  18. Hello everybody, Here is our MOC of the house from A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. I am excited to read any comments, this is our first major MOC. Enjoy!
  19. Out Out of curiosity, what are the other 4?
  20. I have a couple of questions is anybody has any answers; first what day EXACTLY is available to buy as a VIP member? Secondly, does this mean you have to go to a Lego store or online only, and do they typically have "available to VIP members only" sets in display at Lego stores? I ask these questions because I am a Lego VIP member, but I have never purchased a set day 1 before, so I have no idea what to expect. So ANY insight into this I would appreciate.
  21. I agree, the SHIPS and the minifigs are the biggest appeal.
  22. If you watch 1 Episode make it THIS ONE!! Episode 5 Cortez's Treasure
