Great idea. My kid has a bunch of mini dolls and minifigs, this is how he plays with them. This would be even better if the dolls come with pants.

This is an awesome addition to the Ferris Wheel. Good luck on getting it approved.

These are Minifig-Scale Strollers/Buggies I made based on the ones from the Green Grocer and the Summer 2016 set - Fun in the Park.

Nice use of pieces. Impressive build technique. Wish I could be this creative.

@SvenF: Nicely done mate. When did you acquire those dark red slopes from Lego B&P? Hope I can snag some from B&P when it goes back online. For the mean time, I think I will just go with my own Cafe Corner Mod. It's based on the bricks I have on hand. My wallet is still hurting, having spent a small fortune on the Sand Green bricks I used on my Green Grocer. :)

What a lovely collection of 16 wide buildings. Great work.

Like AFOLguy1970 said, I too was surprised to see the Pet Shop still included in the recent catalog. This is also my favorite of all the Modulars. I have 3, and yes they are all open. One is built and the other two were cannibalized for parts.

These are great. Hope the time comes when you built them with real bricks.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
muffluvin replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
For the older Modulars (Green Grocer, Cafe Corner and Market Street), you can do what most of us did, building them by buying pieces from BrickLink and Lego's Pick-A-Brick and Bricks and Pieces. There's a thread with all the information you'll need - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=90358 -
Thanks mate.

My Green Grocer is almost done. Awaiting flat tiles and fruit/food bits ordered from Lego to arrive. I decided to go Sand Green after I saw that I have around 50% to 60% of the parts needed on-hand already. Next to the Green Grocer is my attempt of half of the Market Street. I will be posting more images once I get my lighting sorted out. I would like to thank you all for the information and inspiration.

I love it. Reminds of cars used in DragonBall Z.

Yup that was the original plan since they were hidden from view. But my OCD kicked in and I thought since it might cost like 25 - 50 cents a brick it was no big deal. Thanks for looking out mate. Good to know, so next time I will just use BandP to generate that list then export them to a spreadsheet and email it to a Lego CSR for fulfillment. Thanks

Thanks again Wodanis. I attempted another try using my wife's old laptop. I made use of I.E. and unfortunately it led me to the dreaded "Page not Found" message. But this time, I made sure I copied the list of parts/order details that was generated on the acknowledgement page (before I clicked on the checkout button) and pasted it on Excel. Talked to the CSR and he gave me the generic Lego Customer Service email, he just told me to put "care of CSR's name" plus like a reference number. They're pretty efficient because he called me 30 minutes later with the bill. It was like 102 Element types but I did sort them by part number. Here's what's funny, in my shopping list there were parts that were listed as out-of-stock on B&P and PAB but it was on my bill. According to the CSR there was only 1 element on my list that was out-of-stock for a long time, it was the 2x2 Earth Green brick . I'm finally done ordering the parts, now it's just a matter of waiting for the parts to arrive. Hope I get to finish this project before Christmas

Thanks mate. I might as well talk to a CSR and get his/her email then send her a list with the elements and piece count. Currently doing a spreadsheet, I should have done this rather that wasting my time tweaking my browser :)

Looks like I need to order the bits I needed from Bricks and Pieces thru a CSR. I have been experiencing the same thing that a couple of you guys reported. The site takes me too a page that says something like: "Page not Found" each time I try to check out. Then it takes me to the main page and my existing order is gone. tried using Firefox (my default browser) and Internet Explorer. I uninstalled all add-ons on my firefox browser and cleared all cookies and cache. I tried making the order on 3 Laptops and my desktop and it's the same result. It's so frustrating. So I have a couple of questions: 1. How accomodating are Lego CSRs when filling up an order for parts via phone? 2. Is there a threshold or some sort of limit to the number of items one can buy? Thanks for the help guys.

Images of the back of the shop. Sorry, I forgot to add them on the original post.

This is my first attempt at a modular so I decided to do a small one. I used two 8x16 base-plates. I always wanted to create a modular building with these dimensions because it will fit the gap on the shelf that houses my Parisian Restaurant, Detective's Office and half of the Pet Shop. This is still a work in progress, suggestions and criticisms are highly welcomed. I used a lot of brown because I originally wanted it to be a Soba Shop or an Izakaya but I'm not good at Japanese architecture, in fact in any architecture. I plan on putting some sort of small bar/counter + kitchen on the ground floor. The second floor would be a cramped living quarter for the shop's owner. I made two variations of the awning, here are the images. Thank you for looking.

Thanks Chubbs, I will have access to the earth ones via set 10697 so I should be fine. I spent the last weekend sorting my bulk lego and also the spare bits from my sets and I was surprised that I would only need around 818 pieces to complete the set (provided I use tan instead of sand green). If it was just the first layer, I am fine with it. But the 7th layer also uses the green bricks and the shade of dark green sticks out like a sore thumb in a sea of Light Bluish/Medium Stone Gray bricks. Mr. Ross loves green mate.

Chubbs, I knew you'll still be up. That construction mech was the first remix I made after coming out of my dark age. It is based on a Ninjago Mech. Comparing the images of the Green Grocer to the color palette makes me think it is earth green. I am really confused right now :)

Guys, another question regarding green grocer. The green bricks on the first layer, Brickset listed them as Earth Green while according to the part list on Bricklink it's supposed to be Dark Green. So which shade of green is it really? I am looking at the images of the Green Grocer and it seems like the shade of green is Earth Green. So which one is the correct color, I have a bunch of the dark green bricks from set 10664. I was able to snag set 10697 from Walmart's online store last Thursday and there's a few earth green bricks in there. It should be coming in later this week. Thanks for the help guys. Here's what I have done so far, I don't want to go on if I am using the wrong shade of green :)

Alright guys, guess there's no stopping now. I finally finished the spreadsheet for my TAN Grocer. I found out I need to buy a total of 1054 bricks. 1017 of them are available thru Pick-A-Brick and/or Bricks and Pieces at a total cost of $181.21. I still have to hunt for the remaining 37 pieces. I would like to thank you all for the inspiration and the tips you shared thru this amazing thread.

Thanks Wodanis, btw love your works mate. I have sorted out what parts I have like 6 months ago. I gave up on the project when I found out how rare the sand greeen bricks were. If I am to use the tan as a replacement for the sand green believe I have around 60 to 70% of the required parts. What I lack are the medium stone gray bricks and the unique parts that gives the set its character. Mostly cosmetic and interior parts. Right now, I am going thru my collection checking alternative parts I can use. Hopefully, I can start placing the order tomorrow.
