  1. I really like the look of the life dragon and I really like the new leaf piece. I'm not at all bothered by the wings. It looks like it has a fun and useful gimmick and I'm not generally bothered by exposed technic as a Bionicle fan.
  2. I'm so happy we're finally getting Cole's golem form! It could be better, but I like how it turned out. Easily picking up that set. I love the dragon forms of the Ninja, especially those nice tails and the new elemental villains are awesome.
  3. So having finished Dreamzzz season 3, I have to say, it's by far the best season yet and it's unfortunate that this theme isn't getting the attention it deserves because it feels like they're finally hitting their stride. I'll put my more in-depth thoughts in spoilers:
  4. Monstrosity was incredible! Beautifully animated, dark theming, creepy designs, violent, fantastic action, etc. I. Need. More. Of. This! It was only 15 minutes but I feel like we got a lot in that short time. I would be very happy if this became an annual or even biannual series.
  5. That was my wife and I's theory as well. It makes a lot of sense! Yup, I think that's sort of representing that outfit. Having finished the first half of season 3, I think it's a big improvement over season 2(and I loved season 2) and especially season 1. We'll see how the 2nd have of the season goes but I'm sure it will be just as good.
  6. I seem to be in the minority here but I'm incredibly happy with the Balrog. The price is a bit questionable but it could be worse. As per usual, I think more people will come around on it once it's officially revealed and we have better images. I for one, will be getting it.
  7. This is the most excited I've been for a LEGO Marvel set in a while. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Galactus looks really good and the minifigs are decent, but could definitely have been better. The Thing is the figure I'm most excited about despite its flaws. He really deserved to get the Nexo Knights Axl treatment but at the very least they should have given him an armor piece like the hockey armor in blue with the FF uniform printed on it to bulk him up. Mr. Fantastic's face print could be a bit better and he needed the printing on the hair that Dr. Strange already has and I really would have liked to see him i clude a build to represent stretchy arms. The Kamala torso with long arms would be good but only if they would also include a norma torso as well, which I don't see them doing. Invisible Woman looks fine but I would have loved for her to have a transparent arm and leg or for the clear dish pieces to be iridescent since her powers in the trailer bend light in a really cool way. Human Torch looks fine and I like the hair piece used but the face doesn't quite work for Joseph Quinn. It's not the worst by any means, it just isn't a very exciting figure. Personally I would have loved to see trans-orange limbs and a fully flamed on look but it's also important to be able to have him flamed off, so to speak and if we're only getting one FF set, this is the better compromise. Considering my very low expectations for modern LEGO Marvel figures and sets, I'm quite pleased. A decade ago, my expectations and scrutiny would be much more critical.
  8. The June sets overall look wonderful to me. Unsurprisingly, the minifigs are the real highlight here. The new Plo Koon is sooo good! I'm so happy he comes in such a cheap easy to get set, and the new astromech head is a nice bonus. The 327th bp looks good and although I was really disappointed to get yet another Dwarf Spider Droid and AT-RT, the updates to both are quite nice as is the small terrain build. The Nightrooper bp has a really sad Imperial Dropship but the figures look amazing. The Maul mech is neat and I love the inclusion of a probe droid. I do wish this was more interesting though. I would have taken a Maul with large brick-built spider legs and body over this, it would atcleast be super interesting and unique in top of being based on a canon appearance. If the minifig is the same Siege of Mandalore one, this will end up being a pass. Now, can we finally get good leaks of the May sets? I badly need to see the UCS Jango Fett's Slave I!
  9. Honestly, I think this is a decent GWP. It's unique and provides a couple of new obscure figures without being so desirable that it will sell out and get scalped instantly(I hope) and it pairs well with the May 4th UCS as well. I'm also just really happy to see so much love this year for Jango, Boba and the Firespray. The price threshold is high, but I was already planning to get the UCS Jango Fett's Slave I anyway so this will just be a nice little bonus.
  10. Okay, this is all sounding way too good to be true! A UT-AT with Galactic Marines, a 327th bp, a 7+ Turbo Tank, a Darth Maul mech, on top of the CIS MTT, Plo Koon microfighter, UCS Jango Fett's Slave I, Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor, and ARC-170. Hoo-boy, I hope for my wallet's sake, some of this is not true. This isn't even including Andor's U-Wing and any other show-based sets we don't know about.
  11. A UT-AT is an interesting choice and if it's true, I'm very excited to finally get some Galactic Marines! I'll withold judgement on the price until we know more. Some people are getting way too upset about the projected piece count. PPP has always been and will always be a useless metric for determining value. The size of the set, the size and complexity of the pieces, quality and number of minifigs and number and quality of prints as well as how many new molds and recolors are included is what determines value. That said, if we follow the typical LEGO Star Wars value trend, it'll probably be $10-$20 overpriced.
  12. What are you talking about? The MTT is a "system" set. If you don't know what it is, it's the troop carrier from ep1/the clone wars. It's a vehicle playset that comes with minifigs. The news on the Andor set is disappointing but I would cool off on the doom and gloom because we don't know the full list yet. 2025 is already going to be an awesome year for prequel era fans such as myself though. A new ARC-170, Ahsoka's ETA-2, UCS Jango Fett's Slave I, Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter microfighter, and now a new MTT! Maybe if you're only an OT era fan I suppose I can see why you'd be disappointed but I'm sure there will be more OT playscale sets too, there always are.
  13. I am incredibly hyped for a new MTT! I've always wanted one but I couldn't afford one in 2014 and I've avoided getting one 2nd-hand due to brittle brown syndrome. $150 sounds about right. I have no doubt it will be scaled down a bit but be far more solid of a build. There are so many great parts that have been added to LEGO's inventory in the past decade that will dramatically help with the shaping of the MTT. It sounds like there is a strong possibility that it is a CIS version which would be even more exciting. Hopefully it will have a decent selection of droids and minifigs. I'm definitely disappointed that the 2nd Andor set is a buildable K-2SO but that saves me money. I'm sure his figure will appear in both sets, so that's a good thing for everyone. My wife will probably want the buildable Ewok unless it's creepy looking. She loves Ewoks. The $1000 Death Star just makes me laugh. I look forward to seeing the reviews and speed builds for it but that's it.
  14. I couldn't agree more on all points. It's absurd that astromechs aren't getting back printing as a standard and a new body piece as you described would be perfect. To add further, it's utterly insane that not ONE astromech figure in the 25 years of LEGO Star Wars has had it's third leg. It's so easy to do, especially with modern pieces. Just include a cheese slope and the superhero action piece and there you have it. I seem to recall the designers were interviewed and gave some really terrible excuse for not including them.
  15. The ARC-170 looks pretty good. I have the last one but I'll probably get this one too. The updated figures are darn near perfect and the overall build is nice and sleak. The dhape of the nose bugs me a bit and the cannons on the wing tips are super thin and short. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it. $70 is a lot but doesn't seem nearly as ridiculous as $45 for Ahsoka's ETA-2.
  16. I wanted to see an updated design with ARM PRINTING like Mace Windu got not that long ago.
  17. I love Ahsoka's ETA-2! The new cockpit design is refreshing but The jury is out on if it's better or not. The ship overall appears slightly bigger than the last but not enough to justify the price. The figures all look great but I'm definitely disappointed that they didn't use this as an excuse to include the armored Anakin design. Also, I'll be surprised if R7 has back printing. That should be a standard for astromechs at this point. I really like how Home One came out and the easter eggs inside are so great! Hopefully the ARC-170 pictures drop soon.
  18. I'm pretty sure the new JW sets are supposed to be based on the new movie so it makes sense that we wouldn't have any set names. The RotS sets are the ones I'm looking forward to most, especially the ARC-170. I hope this new one feels more solid and doesn't have an issue with the wings bowing like the previous ones. One plate of thickness simply doesn't withold the length and weight of the wings.
  19. The thing with TLBM series is we didn't have 2 DC-themed cmfs prior and then it suddenly changed, also TLBM covers sooooo much DC stuff from across comics history. Spider-verse is extremely limited by comparison.
  20. Excellent, thank you! Gasgano's Podracer was always my favorite but I wasn't able to get the promo while it was available.
  21. I'll be honest, a Spider-verse cmf is super disappointing to me. I'd much rather have another series based on the various shows like we had been getting until now because otherwise they get absolutely nothing. There's maybe 2 Spider-verse figures I'd actually want and they'd just be super detailed updates to existing figures: Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Man Noir. Well, maybe Prowler if they include villains in the line-up. Ideally, they'd use this as an excuse to give us a variety of crazy Spider-Man variants not tied specifically to the movies. I'd love a Spirit Spider or the main PS4 Spider-Man suit.
  22. Excellent set, great figures and a great price? Impossible! I'm very excited for this set. It'll look great next to the Tallneck on my shelf. I really like the aesthetic of the Horizon games. They give me strong Bionicle 2001-2003 vibes and it helps fill that Kanohi-shaped hole in my heart. Hopefully we'll get more sets based on the games. There are plenty of cool animal mechs we could get and I'd really love to get a special mold of the spear, though if we were going to get one, it probably would have been included in this set.
  23. It certainly wouldn't be $60 unless they throw in a bigfig because that's what really messed up the value of the Leviathan set, and in this case it would have to be a brand new bigfig like Juggernaut or Colossus. I could definitely see them squeezing $40 out of us if it includes a motorcycle or piece of terrain and some of the figures from the mansion(which would be fine with me since I won't be able to get the mansion but would still love to get Gambit and Bishop) and at least one new figure like Nightcrawler or Jubilee. Hopefully Nightcrawler.
  24. I would unironicly love a Venomized Wolverine for this very reason. Nightcrawler is my favorite X-Man so I really hope we get him at some point. I would like to see a Sentinel set in the same vein as the Leviathan that comes with some of the figures from the mansion but with an additional exclusive figure or 2 that can pair well with the mansion, like Nightcrawler or Jubilee.
  25. The hall of armor expansion looks fine. Igor is an improvement, Iron Patriot is a downgrade and I couldn't possibly care less about Killian or Pepper. Overall it's an overpriced set with a "meh" build and bland figures covering old MCU material that, at this point, has become stale and boring to me. To me, the Surtur set was honestly one of the more interesting MCU set in recent years but it would be nice to get more sets for movies and characters that haven't gotten any prior recognition in LEGO. I recently watched the Demolition Man LEGO special on Disney+ and it was honestly really good and very funny, but it also made me sad and frustrated because they utilize so many incredible comic characters that will never become figures because this theme is almost entirely shackled to the MCU. It doesn't have the freedom to do fun, wacky things and use deepcut characters that can keep the theme fresh and exciting. I mean come on, a Terax bigfig? Awesome! Never gonna appear in a set. It almost feels cruel to have characters like that in a LEGO animated films that kids might want, only for them to not exist for them to buy in real life. Rant over
