Ya, at least the original story won't get ruined. I am a fan of deep and complex stories and plot, I'm not liking those whole "simple and easy to follow" turn they've taken. Again, too similar to HF. Thanks for the complement about skeleball.

One last thing: My experience with reboots has told me that every time something's rebooted, it's ruined.

Its a reboot? Well at least it won't conflick with existing canon, as it threatened to do if it wasn't. All the more reason I'm not a big fan of this new direction, I really don't like reboots. But I'm done, I don't wish to let my dislike of this "newonicle" bum you all out.

I find skeleball to be weaker than inika, just literally a skeletal frame with shells tacked on. At least the inika body has some meat to it, skeleball is like a lobster that someone got to before you, there no substance, no filling, just the shell and the parts they didn't like. And it's not just that, the parts look too shiny, too new, these guys have been in non stop combat for over a year now. In metru Toa it made since, they had just been turned into toa, same gos for the inika. But the mata only got two upgrades, one into the nuva, one when they received their adaptive armor. And I don't see any adaptations to the newly reformed spherus magna in those shells. And what's with the gold? Are they the Toa Blinga now? And the chain gun guts of the matoran, why? Do they fire their own guts now? (Ew) why are the Toa called masters now? Master implies total control, the Toa defend and fight in the name of Mata Nui, they don't control others. But as I said before, that's why I still live on mata nui.

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Dinobrick replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Where I'm from, you'll lucky to see anything besides rebels stuff! Ah, yes, the joys of lego modding. But I still have my older version, so the 2014 one is any easy pass. As for the at-te... Well....:) -

Ah, so he was the injector of Star Wars. (Injector was a transformer peg warmer for FOUR YEARS! Go look up a picture of him, you'll see why.) I don't blame Lucas for autopiloted droid fighters, it makes sense, why wast money adding a control station to a vulture, when you can add a much smaller and cheaper brain unit. After all, they are mass produced small fighters. In lego form, the empty control station leaves a gaping hole in the chest. -
I don't like change, yes. And I dont care for hero factory, i guess you could say these new designs are the embodiment of two of my dislikes. But I have been with bionicle since day one, and I have stayed with it though all these years (and what years they were... :)), maybe I'm old fashioned, maybe it's just nostalgia, maybe it's GEEWUNism, I don't know. Bu the great thing about Bionicle, and lego in general, is it ability to appeal to both "AFOLs" and "brick newbs", so that those of us who still live on Mata Nui, and those who live on, what's it called? otoko? Can live peacefully. :) Gee, Arc, thanks for that mental image. :(

Anyone else think tahus "masculine" chin is a bit much, it doesn't fit his persona, he doesn't seem like one of those "I'm big and buff" kind of guys. It really doesn't help that kopakas wearing a gold bra, oh the horrid images(!). As some of you know, I am strongly against the skeleball building system, I prefer the metru and mata system.

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Dinobrick replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I do believe the v-wing and vulture droid didn't sell well, we had the black one a couple of years ago, I have both it and the original one (it's one of my all time favorites), and this new one just dosn't hold up. As for the vulture droid, it isn't pilot able (canonally) so that's one point against it, it also dosnt have anything to make it stand out, just a couple of droids and an obscure character (aside from hard core Star Wars fans, (like me), who's heard of the nemodian guard?) I also find it rather interesting that after DISNEY took over, Star Wars merchandise, apart from lego sets, has gotten rarer, where once it took up a whole isle, it now sits off in a two foot space at the back. -
Hey, we all have our opinions. (This is why i dont communicate with super hero fanboys.) Can we get back to movies now?
-
Monty: ya that must be it, I don't like the taste, (i prefer science with just a very light fiction seasoning) but we all like what we like :). Borador: yes, those (shark ado and the like) stink like rotten cheese. The last (sorta) movie I watched was apes 2. You just know theres going to be a third! I like that the movie was about the apes, with humans just being a supporting role.

I know aoe was bad. But you don't get super strength by being bombarded with beta particals, I'm sorry, but you wind up dead. You can't fly though the atmosphere and be fine, you end up as bits of carbonized bone ( if your lucky). If your bit by a spider, ooh the possibilities: rapid flesh decay, nerve damage, blood clotting, heart problems, brain damage (as some venoms can pass the blood-brain barrier), uncontrollable muscle spasms. Not to mention the pain and somethimes ichyness pf the bite site. Last I checked, super powers are not on the list. There are no doubt countless other impossible ways they get super powers. Ugh, I did it, I bashed super hero movies. Every time! Every single time! I'm sorry, its like I just have to do it, I don't want to, I really don't. I hope I didn't crush any dreams. :'( Shall we get back on track?
-
Now I know not everyone thinks this, but in my personally honest opinion, super hero movies are "science" fiction at its worst. And I have science in quotes because they stretch it to its breaking point in those movies. They really ought to be classified as fantasy (another genre I have no interest it.) I'm sorry if that sounded harsh, I just get really defensive if someone bashes transformers (accept prime and animated, in my mind, those never happened.)
-
Please don't get me started, I don't want to start a debate. Because I will tear super hero movies apart and I don't want feelings hurt.
-
Ya, I'm sure to be able to find someone. But first I have to find that lost thigh pad.
-
But who could x be?
-
Thanks!

I think the films get more hate than they deserve.
-
Thanks, but I'm not entering the challenge. I appreciate your praise though. The prize Toa are too similar to hero factory for me, let someone who will like them win.
-
It was not a Rex, it was a medium sized tyrannosaur. The "feathers" were almost certainly strands of decaying fat, a similar phenomena occurs on beached whales, giving them a fuzzy appearance. (Sorry for shooting you down.) I applod your use of pterosaur, too few people seem to use it.

I can tell we wouldn't get along. (Me being "dinofeatherphobic" and all). Ya, sea Cuttles (as their not fish), snakes and whatevery else they decide to add to the DNA broth is just making it seem like this new director wants to make JP into a monster horror film. Sigh. But maybe even if this film is a complete flop, lego can restore our faith in the jp franchise with really cool sets. You can do it lego, give us sets that will blow us away!

Chilling thought! Stolen figs on eBay.

Yay they were added so the audience wouldn't confuse it for the raptors. No, it has never appeared in the movies. The closest we got was the compies. "Dinofeatherphobia", ha. I guess I am. I guess I just like 90's Dinos. Lego, give us an allosaurus! Please? Or a stegosaur? Anything other than the usual rex/raptor/trike combo would be unimaginably cool.
