Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
27 characters revealed so far and chances are it's about half the full cast list... being realistic we won't get them all so it'll be them debating as to which ones they don't do based on concept art, prevelance and whether they've released a version of them recently. Initial wave of Infinity War featured 7 sets, 6 featuring minifigures for a total of 17 unique figures with 2 of those being Big Figs. I'd imagine 2026/2027 Lego, in terms of recent live-action MCU inspired stuff, would have to look something like this: Legacy Fox-Verse X-Men set 6 x Avengers Doomsday sets (17 Unique Characters) Legacy Thunderbolts set 3 x Spider-man 4 sets CMF line featuring Disney+ characters 6 x Avengers Secret Wars sets (17 Unique Characters) Avengers Secret Wars D2C (E.g. Castle Doom in the style of the Sanctum Sanctorum) Then 20th anniversary in 2028 is an excuse to do another CMF, legacy sets, D2C, etc... hopefully Iron Man Malibu Mansion. I think the main options are: Up-scaled Surtur, 2016 Giant Man style, Construction Figure, Arishem style. The last of which I unfortunately feel is the most likely: 76316- Galactus Vs The Fantastic Four: 427 pieces, $59.99, four figures - Galactus main build 76155 - In Arishem's Shadow: 493 pieces, $59.99, four figures - Arishem main build, Creature side-build. -

A majority of the comments mentioning the movies have done so in connection with the impact it would have with Lego as the two are connected - naturally this is a lego board after all. If it generates positive online discussion it can attract the attention of Lego to make a set. If the movie is financially succesful then chances are they'll revisit it more often. They tend to do this regardless with Avengers movies, but it provides them with extra incentive if they know it'd sell. The outcome of the movies and the franchises handling as a whole as such has had an impact on what we have gotten in sets over the years, look at the state of what we are getting in terms of Lego following the self-acknowledged disaster that was Phase 4: Ant-Man 3: 1 Constraction figure GotG3: 3 minifigure sets The Marvels: 1 minifigure set D&W: 0 sets Cap 4: 1 minifigure set, 1 brick-head set, 1 constraction figure Thunderbolts: 0 sets Fantastic Four: 1 minifigure set @thebricksbear@Swordy Hype over the X-Men, Lego-wise, has been decreased somewhat as we've got more iconic comic versions. Lots of people were buzzing over us getting X-Men figures initially but then the X-Men Mansion and the X-Men figures from the CMF have filled the niche that people were wanting. We often remark on how the marketing for Endgame, while hiding some spoilers, did damage to the wave of Lego sets due to a lack of reference material or concept art they were allowed to base the sets on. In a similar regard the expectation now is that Doomsday's Lego sets have to deliver on the Thunderbolts and the X-Men due to them not being represented before and being announced this early for the film. Despite this it could easily be that the X-Men are the canon fodder/Asgardians of this film and wiped out in the opening to set the stakes, DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths springs to mind. Personally just feels like we have a lot of characters that Lego would need to adapt over the course of the next few films and I'm doubting that they are going to deliver if the MCU continues its decline. Infinity War/Endgame was 6/7 years ago and we are still missing a lot of characters or portrayals of characters from those films - which have around a third of the characters we are going to end up seeing in Doomsday/Secret Wars. It'd require several years of legacy sets and repeated movie-focused CMF's to even make a dent. -

There's definitely a lot more cast members they have not announced. A lot of characters who were seen interacting with other characters prior who make no sense to not be included and plenty more who will be in the sequel. With that said I feel the casting announcement presents the film as reliant too much on the success of unproven aspects, such as Thunderbolts or the Fantastic Four reboot, neither of which I'm particularly interested in personally. It's weird to be going into a culmination movie not connected to over half the characters. It's just the spectacle now of seeing the visual representations of these characters fighting, not even the writing anymore as I don't have faith in them telling a good story, the nostalgia's not really working this time though as did not connect much with the 2000's X-Men as strong as other early 2000's Superhero media. I guess the lack of Thunderbolts Lego sets make sense as all except one are confirmed to return in this cast announcement, a three-figure set could probably fill the gap if needed. If we had a Lego Thunderbolts set/sets then combined with the Lego Fantastic Four set it would have been half the main announced cast being released a year prior to Avengers: Doomsday and then likely recycled in those sets. I guess it makes more sense for them to save the Thunderbolts cast and split them over Doomsday sets alongside the other characters. At the moment I'm only interested for figures, just Doctor Doom and Magneto. I really hope Lego has something good planned for 2026 in regards to legacy sets and Spider-man 4 incase Avengers:Doomsday ends up bricklink'able. -

They are running through the Avengers: Doomsday casting... it's going to last quite a while. It's fairly clear that to do this film justice they'd need to devote more than six sets (character wise) for this... -
Not sure if it's just me, but images are not visible? Could try uploading them elsewhere and then sharing them here.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Scarilian replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks :) Was thinking mostly along the lines of having a 3-in-1 set (as per Agent Kallus' remarks) for each starter line: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle. Each set would feature enough pieces to make one version of that starter or it's evolutions, so if you wanted to have standalone versions of each you'd have to buy the set three times in total - or you can buy one copy of the set and just rebuild for its evolution. You could buy a Charmander 3-in-1 and it'd give you enough pieces to make either Charmander, Charmeleon or Charizard depending on your preference. If you chose to make Charmander or Charmeleon then you'd have a lot of spare pieces which it'd give you instructions on building into scenery to display your Pokemon - such as a volcano for Charmander/Charmeleon to be on. I think that'd be the best sorta set you can do for evolutions because it effectively gives you three Pokemon in a single set and you get the playability of Lego encouraging you to rebuild your model when it 'evolves'. I think the concept would work well for the Kanto starters as you could do fire/lava/volcano, water/wave/whirlpool, grass/plants/trees - would'nt work as well with other evolution lines though and admittedly the colour variations could be a trouble. Edit: Failing that option, just a normal 'build three Pokemon in one' set like Mega did previously. -

I believe it is the only suit we were missing out of the original core of seven suits for the line-up to replicate the Iron Man 3 main armour display. Makes sense they'd want a unique version for that level of appeal even if the differences are subtle. It's the end of an era in a way if it's true - you can now own each version: MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4, MK5, MK6, MK7. I believe the main missing suits now are the ones that were given focus, or at least namedrops and visuals, during the Iron Man 3 Final Battle - so an Iron Man 3: Final Battle or a D2C Malibu Mansion could be enough to complete the main figures. Though with the helmet change they'd have to go back and recycle older figures eventually for the consistency, but I doubt they will. -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion

Lego doing sets for the Pokemon theme has been something people have always wished to happen. So much potential of what they can do. With that said, I need to see more to get fully onboard with this. It's very easy for them to just pick a certain type of audience with this theme and risk missing out on a lot of opportunities. We need to get a clear sense of how they are tackling the theme. The ideal approach for the first year or so would be to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks including: Bowser-Scale versions of Blastoise, Charizard and Venusaur Creator 3-in-1 sets for each of the Kanto starters where you can build into each form Pikachu in the style of 31163 for extra playability Brick-built Legendary Pokemon with display plaque Mixel-scale versions of the starter Pokemon Minifigure sets focused on the gym battles featuring a mix of molded and brick-built Pokemon D2C Pokemon Centre Buildable display Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball CMF Series featuring iconic characters potentially with their unique Pokemon Tie-in set for Pokemon Legends A-Z Etc... We really need to get a clear idea of what they can do with the theme and they need to get a sense of what people would want from them with a Lego Pokemon theme. From the trailer I'm getting the vibe of brick-built Pokemon in the style of Mixels. I'm a bit concerned if that is the case as if they ever did minifigure trainers it would'nt fit well. I'm not expecting every Pokemon to be in-scale, but it'd be neat to have a Pikachu that scales well with a trainer or other iconic Pokemon for similar reasons such as Charizard. I think if we are going brick-built Pokemon, some of the more iconic ones would need to be eventually given a molded scalable version that could pair with the trainer. -

At this point we are dealing with over-priced sets that have already had multiple price hikes ontop of them. There was a price hike for transportation costs, price hike for cost of living, price hike for environmental aspects and now a price hike likely due to tarriff rules all while Lego boasts about making its highest revenue. It's insane. If scalpers think they can make a profit, they'll still buy up as many sets as they can. It won't stop stock issues either, as non-Lego stores will be less incentivised to stock products if they are less likely to sell them. The more expensive sets become the more they move out of the target audiences price range. The increase here add another $28 split over those four sets - which is now the equivilant of buying another 76970: Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops. I've dabbled with the aftermarket for the molded Dinosaurs in the past and at times they are almost the cost of the entire set on their own due to them being the main appeal people have for getting most sets. As you mentioned here, the price hike is just going to cost people more and disuade people from buying the sets from Lego - resorting to aftermarket methods. -

To be fair, I've been throwing everything I have at that set since release to try and improve it and make it better than effectively just being a statue. Ransomfern's redesign is great but there's a lot of compromises to work within the piece count. Even with unlimited time and removal of the piece count limit, it's still a nightmare dealing with a build of that scale. My hope is that the Fortnite Mech will provide some stronger joint pieces that can manage the weight. I am still working towards one day having an accurate and posable D2C Hulkbuster though... I imagine they'll have to at some stage as at the moment it's just Doomsday, Spider-man 4 and Secret Wars in 2026/2027. They may announce another film and I'm sure Lego have plans for the 20th anniversary in 2028 (as long as they did not forgot again...) so fingers crossed we get some experimentation and dives into comic inspired sets alongside legacy sets. Yeah, I'm pretty much only focused on Doctor Doom if his design is good I'll probably end up bricklinking him and then hopefully tracking down a version of the 2005 Fantastic Four or using custom figures as I find those the most appealing visually. Other than that at the moment there's not particularly any characters for Doomsday/Secret Wars that I feel desperate to get a figure of - unless ofcourse they start plucking characters from legacy media again. I'm not thinking the blame lies in the designers but experimental attempts into what focus groups may identify people are after. The Endgame set for example, I can definitely see people looking at the resurgence in tabeltop games and thinking that people want to replicate the portal scene so why not support that? People do legitimately go out and build/buy display bases that generally comprise of rubble for Endgame. I can see the logic behind making such sets due to this. I am just not sure it really blends well with Lego whose focus is normally on creativity to release a set where the main focus is just a load of rubble intentionally made to look messy. -

Potentially, not sure how they work it out on their end. Still leaning to Big, Cream, Froggy and Cheese though. Unless the Summer Wave just focuses on repeats which is sadly also an option as they'll have to phase out some sets soon. -

Picturing it as a three year theme: 2023: Sonic, Amy, Tails, Robotnik 2024: Shadow, Rouge, Knuckles, Super Sonic 2025: Super Shadow, Metal Sonic, ?, ? If we are getting four characters in 2025 - I think it makes the most sense for it to be Big & Cream with molded pieces for Froggy and Cheese. 2026 then would have two main options: 20th Anniversary of Sonic 06 - Blaze, Silver, Super Silver, Mephiles Sonic Heroes remake tie-in - Vector, Espio, Charmy, Neo Metal Sonic -

The entire point of a legacy set should be that it reflects the legacy material - especially so if it's also meant to double as a display set as per remarks about it including a base like the NWH sets. I can't see justification for a re-use of Doc Ock here when the colour of the suit is entirely different in Spider-man 2. From the description it's sounding kinda like the original set, just smaller, with less features and less accurate characters. I imagine it'll be the train driver and the two individuals that Doc Ock throws for Spider-man to catch - one a guy in a business suit and the other a lady wearing red. You can see them at 2:44 in this scene. I guess it makes sense having Spider-man catching characters in a web if they wanted to include some gimmick, but it's not particularly a memorable part of the scene. Elevating the build would require additional pieces and create structural issues if it's designed for playability such as vrooming the train along the track piece into the bumper - as such it'll probably not be elevated. I partially wonder if the adaptation of these characters in media sometimes prevents them from being adapted into Lego form, similar how to them being adapted in media sometimes encourages them to be adapted into Lego form. It feels like we've got a lot of really popular characters that the fanbase are interested in and for whatever reason Lego seem to not produce. I feel like black-suited Spider-man they've definitely been told by someone that they cannot use - they have to know that'd sell really well and you'd expect them to do it given how much they went all in on Venom & Venomized versions. Perhaps when we get the black suit on-screen (Spider-man 4 or Secret Wars) it'll allow us to get a movie-verse and eventually comic-verse version of the symbiote suit. Fantastic Four and other X-Men characters they were probably blocked from using until recently as there was an active attempt to encourage the rights to transfer back by stopping merchandising, now there are back the incentive would be to market the characters as they are in the newer media as opposed to advertising the old from when the rights did not belong to them. Other characters you mentioned I think mostly are just too niche unfortunately or the time for when they would have sold well has passed, such as if we'd had a Zombie Scarlet Witch release around the release of the Sanctum Sanctorum set. Good shout -

The actual Enchantress, Amora, has only appeared in the MCU comics - which I believe they are referring to given the description (See below image). No live-action appearance yet. Sylvie is not Enchantress, but Sylvie effectively has taken a lot of Enchantress' traits - similar to how Hela combined traits from several characters. Enchantress' sister, Lorelei, did appear in Agents of Shield though. -

CMF list is kinda what was expected, but also lacking? Not really seeing why this needed to be a CMF series as opposed to maybe a set based on ITSV and another set for ATSV. A few characters I can maybe see them needing more detail that CMF sometimes provides I guess. Perhaps sets were the plan and they changed their mind, would explain why the CMF features mostly the main cast and then four completely random characters that feel like they just wanted to pick wacky designs as opposed to fill requests for characters people wanted. I feel the collectability aspect is cheapened by the lack of ability to represent the primary main cast from either film: No Peni Parker, the only core member of the Spider-team not represented in Lego, for ITSV? At least we have older versions of Spider-Ham and Spider-man Noir, but no Peni? We have'nt even had the obligatory Lego mech set with figure which would be perfect for this character? No Spider-Woman, 2099's second in command, for ATSV? She's the character that recruited Gwen and is in a majority of the core scenes of the Spider-society. Personally my main hope for the CMF was that we'd get the Void Spot that we see in the finale, the character who will likely be the main antagonist if BTSV is ever made - and he's not included. I think Peni Parker and SP//DR mech is definitely the way to go, though her outfit would likely require some dual molding if you wanted accuracy to the film. It took us 2 years after ATSV to get sets... and BTSV won't be till 2027 at the earliest which puts it right around when they'll be swamped with Avengers: Secret Wars sets and heading into 20th anniversary MCU sets. They'd probably have to re-do a majority of the characters as they are all back for BTSV so I may hold off and bricklink whichever ones don't get an update later down the line. I'd guess printed arms with the markings depicting when the blades are retracted and then the power blast pieces to hold when depicting the blades. -

I think a reboot is coming regardless, it's just a question of whether they use an in-universe aspect such as Secret Wars to try and bridge the gap. It's been stated that Anthony Mackie was going to be the leader of the Avengers for Avengers: Doomsday, if that was the case then I could see some rewrites happening which would be awkward as its meant to start filming in March and some of the cast are already arriving in the UK for filming. Let alone Lego sets are likely already in varying stages of development working off costume tests and concept art. We could have another Endgame scenario on our hands where the sets are based on material that is not reflective of the final product resulting in a later legacy wave. -

Cap 4 is getting a mixed/negative reception, if Thunderbolts & Fantastic Four get a similar reacting and poor box office we may see delays to the Avengers movies to give them time to rework things. Spider-man sells, though I would appreciate more wacky sets with unique/interesting figures.Take the Venom T-Rex set and re-do that, but ditch the vehicle and I think a recolour would work for a Doom T-Rex. -

Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Avengers Doomsday should have it's first wave of sets in March/April 2026 followed by the Spider-man 4 sets in June/July 2026. They could go all out with sets/characters in 2026-2028 capitalizing on the Avengers films leading into the 20th anniversary of the MCU. When sales slip they focus on what works: legacy set, kid-focused Spider-man stuff and established brands. I think the shifting of release dates also did not help as this film went from July 2024 (July 2022) to December 2024 (June 2023) to July 2025 (Nov 2023) to May 2025 (April 2024). Avengers 5 being scheduled for May 2025 until (June 2023) could also have factored in. Lego likely need 1.5-2 years for licensed tie-ins, it'd be infuriating every time they are about to start working sets Marvel would announce a change of date. They may have plans to revisit the characters later in some form. Writing decline overall creates compounding problems. They keep butchering the story, characters and world building so it's difficult to feel invested in new stuff as it drags me out of the experience. I lean to legacy and stuff I can enjoy seperate from its connection to the MCU. -
In terms of sets the main appeal I think lies in the Baratie and Going Merry, though I have concerns over how they'll handle the Going Merry at that scale. I also think they may run into some trouble with the fish head for the Baratie. In terms of figures, I imagine it'll be something like: Partys bar: Shanks, Young Luffy, Makino, Higuma Buggys Circus: Buggy, Luffy, Nami, Zoro Arlong Park: Luffy, Nami, Sanjii, Usopp, Arlong, Chew, Kuroobi, Nojiko Going Merry: Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanjii, Usopp Baratie: Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanjii, Usopp, Mihawk, Zeff, Koby, Helmeppo, Garp Weird that we are seemingly skipping Axe-Hand Morgan despite him being the antagonist that brough the main trio together. I get not including Alvida but you'd think we'd have got the antagonist from the first episode. Also odd for them not to adapt Kaya, Kuro or Merry despite the two-part episode focused on them. If we don't get Garp, Koby or Helmeppo in one of these sets then that'll be a disappointment also - which is why I hope they bundle them into Baratie. If sales are strong they'll keep going, but I do think the live-action is at risk of ending with Season 3 unless they can get a consistent plan together for filming and releasing regularly. I'd imagine the next wave of Lego sets will be based on Series 2 (Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island) though they could always revisit some Season 1 aspects. A potential third wave of sets for Season 3 (2027?), which at the moment looks to be solely focused on Arabasta, would then likely serve as the last main wave. If they ever do switch to the anime I would'nt generally put the Ark Noah as a candidate for adaptation anytime soon, given the size and visuals. I think a set like Thousand Sunny would be more likely.

Seems to be a GWP and, according to JediJACPenguin's list, it releases in February. -
This wave of sets is likely based entirely on the first season as the sets are scheduled to release in August. Season 2 is presumably releasing in late 2025, likely November or December. I can't picture them adapting from that this year, though hopefully next year if the theme continues. If we get a second wave of sets in 2026 I'd imagine that would be focused on Season 2. Could be a Spring or Summer Wave. Season 3 is hopefully being filmed soon, some speculation it may be filmed back-to-back and would probably release late 2026 or early 2027, so a third wave of sets in 2027 would be based on that. There was also an unverified remark on a reddit thread about someone's younger nephew being asked to do a set survey which included them seeing sets including the 'Going Merry' and 'Coco Village'. Coco Village would normally feel out of left field as Arlong Park would be the logical choice... except when you consider the final fight Luffy has in Season 1 which included all the Straw Hat Pirates, Nojiko, Nezumi, Garp, Koby, Helmeppo, Marines, etc.. Would be a good way to give us a lot of supporting characters in a single set if they did want to squeeze Arlong into a Baratie set as opposed to giving us Arlong Park. Though the Baratie is visually appealing enough and would have enough draw with Mihawk and Sanji. Though they could easily include Arlong and potentially Kuroobi & Chew. I don't think we'll get Don Krieg and it seems unlikely that we get both Axe-Hand Morgan and Alvida because they were both the antagonists of the first episode, feels like a one or the other situation. I think they'd want to include at least one core villain from each episode, the most likely being: Axe-Hand Morgan, Buggy The Clown, Kuro, Mihawk, Arlong and maybe Garp. I felt the same regarding Shanks. I feel like Shanks is either in the cheapest set or the most expensive. His role, other than flashbacks, was minimal so if there was ever a figure that they'd not include OR lock behind an expensive set would make the most sense to be Shanks - though at the same time the scene with him giving Luffy the hat and facing the Sea Monster is iconic enough to work as a cheap set... though would likely require a young Luffy figure. As for Kaya, I think if we get her and potentially Merry it would be in a set focused on Syrup Village/Kaya's Mansion.
-
Sets: 75636 - 301 Pieces, $29.99 75637 - 573 Pieces - $49.99 75638 - 926 Pieces - $79.99 75639 - 1376 Pieces - $129.99 75640 - 3,402 Pieces - $299.99 We know the main crew are likely included in the theme overall, so that means: Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp. We've also seen a Buggy hat leak so he's in the theme also. Usopp had 2 different hat variants leak, one is the darker version featured in the Arlong Park Arc when he fights Chew. Two sets likely contain Usopp for this reason which makes me lean to one being Arlong Park inspired. I'd take a guess at the following, with more figures and things in some cases: Romance Dawn Arc or Orange Town Arc, giving us either Luffy, Koby, Alvida OR Luffy, Zoro, Nami with either Axe-Hand Morgan or Buggy. Syrup Village Arc as a way to give us Luffy, Kuro, Usopp, Kaya, Merry and Nami Baratie Arc, would work well and could give us Luffy, Mihawk, Zoro, Sanji, Zeff and perhaps Kuroobi. Arlong Park Arc giving us a set focused on the last two episodes: Luffy, Arlong, Usopp, Chew, Nami and probably throwing in Garp Going Merry display ship featuring the main crew of the Going Merry along with Shanks I just hope the sets look good.

I'll probably just get the Raimi Spider-man 2 Train set and maybe the Iron Man 2 set depending on how many Hammer Drones are included and how they look - especially because there are four different types in the movie (Airforce, Marine, Army, Navy) Quicksilver is neat, but not worth a whole Quinjet - especially when they'll probably recycle him for an AoU Final Battle set. Everything else sounds like an easy skip, which is good because there's a lot of other themes coming out around the same time that I'd probably want to focus on and can save for the 2026/2027 wallet-punch of Avengers Doomsday, Spider-man 4 and Avengers Secret Wars - let alone other themes. -

76306 is apparently cancelled according to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat. Was set to include Thor, 2 Outriders and potentially more. Could have been for Infinity War or Endgame judging by the Outriders I guess. Not the first time we've had sets that never released, but interesting to hear about a cancellation first before we get the Summer wave names/details. Hopefully we get more info on the sets that are releasing. I could see a set like the 'Captain America: Civil War: Airport Battle' where we get a full-bodied Sandman constraction figure with a slightly larger build with a reduced figure count of Venom, New Goblin, Spider-man, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson and J.J.Jameson. Then another set where we get Black-suited Spider-man Vs minifigure-sized Sandman where they can throw in Eddie Brock. Yeah, should start filming in March as long as nothing is delayed. Still kinda expecting Avengers: Secret Wars to be split into two also, allowing an 'Avengers: Forever' in 2028. I think if the theme is still popular enough they would circle back to certain films afterwards. Deadpool I think would just be CMF series - unless he has a large role in Avengers: Secret Wars, but I imagine his role will be small and played for comedy so they might just skip him again. I'd imagine that they'll revisit Thunderbolts if it's popular enough through a legacy set, but personally find the visual element of the film to be a downgrade so perhaps Lego thought the same of the potential for a set. Not entirely sure people would buy figures of them with the looks from the movie. -

I'm concerned it may end up another scenario where we get concept art that does not match the film. The potential for figures for Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars is likely going to wind up resulting in us getting a flood of sets released over the next five years or so - similar to how we are still waiting on characters from Avengers: Endgame. Will be interesting to see how they handle Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars in regards to sets - especially now that they have started doing Final Battle sets. Not sure what Spider-man 4 becomes, but I imagine we are getting the symbiote suit in either one or more of Avengers Doomsday, Spider-man 4 and Secret Wars. That way they can use it for conflict with Tobey Spider-man who knows what the black suit is and what it does - and it allows an exploration of Tom's Spider-man's emotional state after the events of NWH.
