  1. UCS Hulkbuster 2.0 for $1k to fit the new large buildable Iron Man figure ;)
  2. At that price my guess would be another Final Battle set - either Titan from Infinity War or perhaps Raimi's Spider-man 3 if we are lucky.
  3. I'd imagine it's because they believed the set would sell on its own with the characters included in the current state. They could use the alternative looks for potential Avengers: Doomsday sets, if they keep the same costume this gives more justification for the characters to be featured. Would definitely help playability for Avengers: Doomsday sets if the versions of the characters featured translucent segments for Invisible Woman, Red/Flame effects for Human Torch and stretchable arms for Mr.Fantastic. Makes sense considering they'd probably have been focused on Avengers: Doomsday for next year, which is now pushed back and will likely be pushed back again.
  4. Hopefully the horns are printed and not a sticker, considering it's re-used a lot on the ship.
  5. I'd imagine it'd be the power pieces and just have them launch to replicate 'chop chop cannon' I'm glad we are getting all the posters, always the chance they can revisit certain characters in the next wave of sets. I'd expect us to get Alvida in the 2026 wave for instance. Gold Roger is the character that started the show so I'm sure they can circle round to him eventually. The only ones I'm unsure of if we'll ever get figures for are Don Krieg and Kuro. Kuro is still around, but he's kinda generic and I've seen BricksOfMaze do a nice purist version of him and Axe-Hand Morgan. Don Krieg I think is extremely unlikely given his minimal screentime, which is understandable but unfortunate as he's the most difficult to replicate. Second wave of sets in 2026 and Bricklink are probably your best bet at getting cheap versions of the characters. Other than that would mostly suggest waiting for sales or buying second-hand. I'm really curious how they'll tackle a lot of the 2026 sets, presumably some of them will be leaning on Season 2 - so done a bit of speculation on that below:
  6. My hope for legacy sets lies only in a Iron Man Malibu Mansion and sets focused around movies prior to the MCU. We are still lacking an updated Raimi Green Goblin to replicate the end of the NWH bridge scene and a Spider-man 1 legacy set would work well. Spider-man 2 Doc Ock Hideout Modular style would be an instant purchases for me, let alone the potential for them to do black-suited Raimi Spider-man. Spider-man 3 construction battle definitely would be a logical choice also.
  7. Welp, Avengers Doomsday just got yeeted from May 2026 to December 2026. I would'nt be surprised if this means that any sets that were planned will be delayed. Avengers: Secret Wars has also got delayed from May 2027 to December 2027. I don't expect either of them to stay as their currently scheduled release dates either, especially Avengers: Doomsday, as December 2026 is packed with a lot of films that would damage Avengers Doomsday's box office. Likely that Avengers: Doomsday gets pushed back to May 2027. I really hope Lego is focusing on legacy sets because otherwise we are going to have a very empty 1HY 2026. Spider-man: Brand New Day is our first Marvel movie of 2026 now.
  8. They really need to space out the release of sets... other than the CMF series I'm not sure we have anything else to really discuss until we get to the 2026 sets. I miss when things used to leak as it kept these discussions active. Marvel CMF series 2 was revealed in August for a September release. I'd imagine it'd be the same for the Spiderverse CMF series.
  9. Generally to determine if it's 'real' I'm focusing on the builds, even if some of the characters are not where they should be. 30676: Kiki's Coconut Attack - Real 30704: Balkiry Attack - Real 40781: Badnik: Crabmeat - Real, even the big version 76990: Sonic's Speed Sphere Challenge - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects (Even the Sun Lounger and Parasol) 76991: Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane - 50/50, the Plane is real, the workshop is in media but shaping, colours and design are Made Up 76992: Amy's Animal Rescue Island - Appears to be Made Up, though could be a conglomoration of different aspects - Tails Surf Hoverboard exists though :3 76993: Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman's Death Egg Robot - Real 76994: Sonic's Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects 76995: Shadow's Escape - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects 76996: Knuckles' Guardian Mech - Made Up, other than the Master Emerald Shrine 76997: Tails' Adventure Boat - Made Up other than the background setting, though if you want an obscure reference then switch the parasaling to orange, give him an orange surfboard and replace with a regular Sonic figure without the safety straps :3 76998: Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects 76999: Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects 77000: Shadow the Hedgehog - Real, just an enlarged Shadow Head 77001: Sonic's Campfire Clash - Real/Conglomoration of in-media aspects. The humanoid robot is the Gun Hunter while the floating robot is the Gun Beetle 77002: Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic - Real 77003: Super Shadow vs. Biolizard - Real 77005: Knuckles vs. Dr. Eggman Egg Crusher Mech - Real, though Knuckles replaces Sonic in battling it 77006: Team Sonic Command Truck - Made Up (Unless it appears in Sonic Racing: Crossworlds) There's also an influencer kit, but discounting that as it's not an instruction focused-set. The sets people dislike the most tend to be sets that are Made Up entirely. The appeal of the Sonic sets is normally that they reflect some form of the Sonic media or feature a new character.
  10. Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, was gifted a LEGO Gum Gum Fruit. Not an official model but means there's a high chance we see the sets revealed this month. I doubt it'd be at or in the Tudum event. It'll guess the sets revealed via Lego as they are supposed to release in August. Revealing them on May 31st/June 1st as such would make sense. I imagine if they leave it much later than that it'd probably wind up leaking or appearing on shelves - similar to how the Fantastic Four set scheduled for June that appeared on shelves in late April.
  11. Most likely the case as the sets are meant to release in August, would be a good time to reveal them along with the rest of the One Piece Live Action information. 😆
  12. There will be no way to include all the Avengers: Doomsday characters in the wave of 2026 (if the film is not delayed) sets we will get. This is going to be another scenario where we get some of the characters but a majority are released later. There's been a 'leak' of another 33 characters, bringing the total to 60 cast members and that's not including additional characters that are being kept for reveals in the films itself. Sucks that spoiler tags are not working. - 1 via not adapting M'Baku given he'll probably have a tiny role like in Endgame - 1 via not including Ant-Man who has been in a lot of sets lately Leaves us with 25 from that list and depending on if characters have updated costumes you can probably have Torres Falcon, Sam Cap, Loki and Prof.X being repeats.
  13. Will probably comment more on these when we get higher quality pictures, but for now: Iron Man 2 inspired set with the drones is just a disappointment, they are depicted as the same size as Iron man and War Machine in the film... the entire point is that Justin Hammer is lazy and just slaps things onto salvaged Iron Man suits and then sticks a transmitter in the top. They should have been minfigures. Spider-man 2 inspired Train set is good and I really hope we get more legacy sets. Tackling Spider-man first the figure is a bit underwhelming, he's the focal point of the set where all the attention will be drawn, he's on the front of the set and will be the focus for display... and they can't deliver on printed legs or arm print - especially arm print considering the cheap Spider-verse set got some. I do appreciate they have went the extra mile by giving us the battle-damaged look including the rips around his chest. Moving onto Doc Ock, not sure the colour chosen really fits the outfit he was wearing for the sequence, though difficult to tell without better comparison images. The over-sized tentacles are fine but would have preferred something like in the Daily Bugle. These tentacles seem more like they were chosen for playability than display. The alternative face looks way too goofy, perhaps it was trying to adapt the 'butterfingers' expression but thats from a different scene - would have preferred a normal Lego smile which would fit with the scene better: Leaping through some other figures the Oscorp sets gives us Eddie Brock. Unsure if he's adapting a specific version, but it's nice to get the Venom over-the-shoulder aspect from Tom Hardy's Eddie while the figure looks more like a potential Topher Grace stand-in if we never get Spider-man 3 Lego. Glad we are getting a new Mary Jane Watson figure also, again unsure which version, interesting addition of freckles. Hob Goblin looks suitably creepy. Quicksilver is here I guess. Ultimate Ultron still undecided upon, not sure the colour scheme fits - as Ultimate Ultron noticably has a darker silver with a blue hue around him.
  14. Glad we finally get an updated Quicksilver, the previous version was just a torso print so at least its unlikely this one will be a downgrade from that. As for Ultimate Ultron, I have my concerns, the previous version got leg, torso and helmet mold printing. I can see why they'd ditch the helmet mold, but at the same time they had the lower piece of the helmet mold in a set this year. I like Ultron as a concept and while the MCU portrayal is not the best visually, I'd still like a good representation of him. -snip- site seems broken so won't let me do spoiler tags -_- They may reissue.
  15. Apparently some sets are being revealed this week, so fingers crossed we get a glimpse at the missing Marvel sets. Would be nice to see the Spider-man 2 inspired train set. Was sure it was originally stated as a book-nook, but hopefully it'll look good regardless as the circular display. I think a construction figure Tahu would definitely sell, not sure they'd be able to do a wave of six Toa in that scale and price and still appeal to a wider audience - but something like that for the 25th anniversary would be nice.
  16. According to usual sources, Team Sonic Command Truck should be revealed in the next 24 hours or so via retailers. This week should also have a lot of reveals of varying themes.
  17. Galactus is good I guess. Shall wait to see the impact on Galactus and the Fantastic Four that the movie has and maybe get Galactus seperately. Hopefully they get darker suits in Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars so I can transplant them for 2005/2007 versions of these characters. My hope is that they've been keeping constraction around while slowly introducing new pieces so that they can bring back Bionicle, possibly for the 25th anniversary in 2026 - and have been testing the waters with inserting constraction figures into varying styles of sets.
  18. I don't think they'd revisit this film anytime soon either. The main appeal of the film is Fantastic Four Vs Galactus. They don't really have a method of judging interest in this variant Silver Surfer - so it'd make more sense to just do a comic-inspired set featuring the iconic Silver Surfer instead, with big-fig Thing.
  19. Sets were already too expensive, this is getting insane.
  20. By the same logic that we don't get Deadpool sets, I don't think we'd get MCU Daredevil. Violence and with the addition of swearing. As for hopeful things, the Harry Potter Book Nook has been revealed and it's fairly neat. I think they could do the Spider-man 2 train scene justice at that scale.
  21. Christmas has become widespread and while the name and event itself is derived from religion, Lego circumvents the risk of it being tied to the religious aspects by focusing on attributes that were latched onto the event over the years such as Santa Claus, Elves and generally the asthetic attributes as opposed to anything with a potential deeper meaning. You could probably call this Gingerbread Hulkbuster with Santa-Hat Tony Stark - or something along those lines. Personally, I'm fine with them doing something fun. I'm curious as to what size and form the Hulkbuster will take including the visual choices as that will be dependent if it's worth getting - also wondering if it means we'll get a non-Christmas Hulkbuster that's a pallet swap in 2026 1HY.
  22. In the video they explain the embargo date is June 1st 2025 on that video... so either it's changed or the video might disappear. 'Deadpool figure was fine when it was inspired by the comics despite these generally not being kid friendly... as such we won't get a Deadpool figure while the most iconic version of the character is the 18+ movie version... but we could get him if he shows up in Avengers in a non r-rated way... despite being the same character coming fresh from his r-rated trilogy.' Either they have no clue and are speculating or Lego is extremely hypocritical and confused in how it determines if characters are acceptable - reminds me of the wave of Lego removing hyped sets people wanted such as Temple of Doom. They seem to have no faith in the sets selling based on their own appeal without an associated popularity generated from the movies. Yeah, it's complete nonsense. I wonder what the real reason behind these decisions is. I can think of some justification via the financial route of them looking at previous installments in the brand, but that doesn't extend to all those options.
  23. As much as I like collecting Dark Red pieces, the Iron Man bust just feels bland though I guess that cannot be helped when the design is mostly just Dark Red, perhaps that's why we got the exclusive figure that everyone who collects Iron Man figures will be after. He looks like he just licked a Lemon, the face narrows too quickly and puckers at the mouth piece. Generally feels like they were unsure how to adapt the head. If it has a lightbrick then perhaps that would justify the pricing, but honestly you'd be better off bricklinking the figure and building the Ransoms Fern version and swapping some pieces to get the appearance of the different suits. The Spider-man bust is adapting a complex design that comes across a bit messy in Lego form but you can tell they tried hard to get the design across and I feel that mostly paid off. Main gripe is that the Spider legs don't seem to touch the main body so the logo imagery comes across a bit awkard and the face suffers from feeling a bit thin. The, hopefully printed, webbing pieces help. I don't feel the figure is much of a draw for this set. They either should have kept the Constraction Figure heads and worked around that scale or scaled up the busts so they could go for more accurate brick-built heads. There was once the logic that Black Panther needed a D2C scale set because he would'nt have been replicated well at this scale... why did nobody look at these and think the same given the compromises?
  24. Glad to hear we are getting more sets. Hopefully we get some more figures and the theme keeps going.
  25. It's 12 Superhero sets so far for the first half of the year, so this includes both Marvel & DC along with sets not inspired by the movies. I'd imagine the list is incomplete also. It's entirely possible that some licensed sets are not included and/or the potential for Doomsday to have split waves - one before the movies release, the other in Summer for more spoilery stuff.
