Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion

'Orange' covers 4 sets: 75580, 75581, 75582, 75583. These were previously labelled as Avatar (The non-airbender one) by several sites and sources, but now seems to be some speculation they could be something else. I think Transformers: One is a possibility if these four sets are indeed Transformers, in which case the four main potential candidates are: Optimus Prime (Transformers: One) Bumblebee (Transformers: One) Elita 1 (Transformers: One) Megatron (Transformers: One) I know people may hate to hear it, but given the rough drawings someone did of how Optimus and Megatron apparently look in the film... they'd be perfect for the buildable figure line and the buildable figures line would likely overlap the target age group of Transformers: One. This circumvents the requirement for the Transformation and would enable us to get characters like Megatron who Lego might normally not represent due to his alt-mode. It also makes sense in regards to the film as to why buildable figures might be selected: Also arguably would feel like another step towards a potential Bionicle reboot if we get a brand new torso piece that has exposed circular hole/gear design along with yet more stylized armour pieces that could be re-used... 2025/2026 perhaps... -

Honestly, the closer we get to Avengers 5, 6 & potentially 7 the more it feels like Lego is going to just give up with tie-in movie sets as a whole. How are they supposed to reliably create and release sets for films that are getting pushed back, reshot and reshuffled then dumped all at once into cinemas - especially when they may only be provided with concept art. No wonder they stopped bothering with a majority of the characters and started only doing singular sets for certain films. Deadpool 3 was supposed to be November 2024 and Lego likely planned to have the X-Men Mansion at the same time for cross-promotion and now the film is in July 2024 so that won't work. Captain America 4 was meant to have a set releasing in April 2024 with the film releasing in May 2024 and now it's going to be February 2025, so it may not even have a set at all around that time and we may see the movie spoiled by 76292 if that releases prior to the trailer, if the set even remains accurate given the reshoots. Fantastic Four was meant to be February 2025 and now it's been pushed back to May 2025, I guess sets would need to be delayed if Captain America 4 has any sets in February 2025. Thunderbolts was meant to be in December 2024 and now it's releasing in Summer 2025 so I'm guessing any planned sets would be pushed back and considering the cast I'd guess you'd need more than one set for this one Normally they don't label it as confirmed for a combination of the following: With inflation the prices may change massively We've had prior experience of set numbers being shifted to other themes Superheroes tend to be categorized together so could potentially be DC The original source is not as proven/reliable so they don't want to label it as confirmation Lego in recent years has been cancelling sets randomly for little logical reasons so it may not be a set that will release at all As such it's easier to label it as 'rumored' to cover themselves until they have more information on what the sets are. At the end of the day the X-Men Mansion was leaked in a survey to determine the pricing and IF people would end up buying it, there's still potential for it to not actually get released in 2024 or at all. It could easily be that they've altered plans. I'd lean more to it releasing in November 2024 as a scheduled cross-promotion with Deadpool 3 (before it got shifted forward to May 2024 then to July 2024) Given the piece count and figure count, there's zero chance the X-Men Mansion in the form we saw it would wind up releasing for $170. Original info on the set was: Set Number - 76292 Piece Count - 223 Price - $49.99 1st April 2024 Maybe it's delayed at minimum as we won't even have a trailer for Captain America 4 until very late in 2024. I could see them pushing the set back to November/December 2024 given the film is releasing February 2025 at the earliest. I also think we're going to be in an extremely awkward position here, whatever 76292 includes, there's no way it covers all the key characters for that piece count and pricing. At best we're going to wind up with maybe 2/3 figures and a potential big fig, at worse the set is just poorly priced like with the X-Jet or The Hoopty. Likely come from an original source that is not proven. Will add them to the 'updated list' when we get a 2024 thread... but for the moment there's not much point speculating over them because they could be anything including fake, mislabelled as Marvel, etc... We only have a rough idea of a potential set with Quicksilver given a torso leak and probably a mech set if the pricing is accurate. -

I'd rather see them go back and revisit prior legacy films as opposed to making a weird mash of varying characters and films while attempting to adapt What If S2. There's a handful of characters we are missing from varying films so would be easy enough to just do more sets based on those films. -

Probably the last one for the year. Hulkbuster project I was working on has unfortunately got pushed back due to requiring more parts but maybe it'll see life again in 2024. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :) Updated List: We have a rough idea of things until April... so I guess that makes sense. Maybe we'll get some early rumours for mid year but given that any planned movie/show tie-in sets would be delayed it could shake things up a bit. At the moment 2024 seems like the break year, where you'll have time to save up. Given the Green Goblin buildable figure (Based on his bridge appearance) includes his glider, I unfortunately doubt they'd have the budget/piece count to include a figure also. If we did he'd probably have a printed helmet piece also... so I'm not entirely sure I'd want that. His mask/helmet is a big part of the appeal. I have a pretty awesome knock-off version of the Glider so if they do the 2002 version Green Goblin then it'd be a must buy for me. I'm leaning more to going back to the older films and replicating those. If Lego is smart they'll do a GWP polybag exclusively for sales of the X-Men Mansion featuring Deadpool. The set itself would have no relation to Deadpool so that way it won't negatively impact the sales of the set or anything else by association. I think what we saw is very likely what we'll end up getting which is an Arkham Asylum (10937) style facade set. $300 for 3139 pieces is around $0.096 per piece. 20% off is relatively common with Lego sets now so that'd drop it to around $240 for $0.077 per piece... which is alright I think. It'll really depend on how many of the figures end up being unique and how well the build is on the other side. Green Goblin buildable figure is happening, has his glider and is apparently based on his appearance at the bridge (E.g. classic appearance) X-Men Mansion is very likely happening in late 2024, given the leaks, would pair nicely with the X-Jet and it'd benefit from the release of Deadpool 3. The only other rumour is an AoU set including Quicksilver based on the apparent leak of a torso matching Quicksilver's AoU appearance. -

Still working on attempting to modify the Hulkbuster. It's been a long process but it's about a third complete :3 I'm aiming to complete it before 2024 but naturally things do get delayed from time to time. Will share it when its done :) Wanda's murder/torture spree definitely comparable. That film was going to open with her decapitating Mordo and holding his head up to the camera at one stage and that would have been under the PG-13 rating. CMF series should focus on high quality legacy characters. Sets should shift to focusing on the comic portrayals of the characters to avoid the reliance on screen-accuracy when making a set for a new film or show - along with also preventing delays. Characters chosen in the sets would be somewhat related to what is releasing, but would'nt be tied to it. A year or so after release we'd get a movie-accurate set focusing on the main characters, similar to how they handled the recent Spider-man NWH sets. As for Disney+, similar process, wait till its all aired and then release a set for it a year later as often Disney+ leaves the reveal of the villains final look or finalized suits till the absolute end of the series. I don't think we have much to worry about until 2030. As long as Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars (Both parts potentially) happen they'll end up making sets based on those for two to three years at least. Then they'll go back and do legacy sets for popular characters/films. -

Already said my thoughts on the Spider-man Mask/Helmet along with the 4+ sets. Here are my thoughts on the others: 76275 - Neat little set Seems like a nice small set at a reasonable pricing. The addition of an alternate facial print for Doc Ock showing the fully venomized face is appreciated. I think included some Venom web piece for him to fight back. Would have also liked if we had more of Ock's Venom logo visible, similar to how we see all of Green Goblin's logo. 76276 - Generic mech, but two figures helps Two figures in a mech set is nice providing an extra incentive to get this set. With that said, the mech is a bit underwhelming. I miss the articulation provided by knees/arms and hope the piece they use eventually becomes ratcheted. 76277 - Best Mech, but missing something? The design of the mech and the high piece count is great, probably one of the characters most suited to a mech set. The coverage looks amazing, lots of studs covered up by smooth pieces to give that more robotic look. The storage option for the studs in the back is a nice addition also. While I get the justification that the mask and piece count justify a lack of a second figure, I think it would have been nice if the set provided a shoulder cannon that the minifigure could use when not in the mech. 76278 - Fun for playability, not as much for figures Packed with playability and looks pretty good for the scale. Would have appreciated if Ronan had retained his proper helmet/hood as I don't think the hood and 'cape' they have him in works for the MCU version of the character with his torso lacking the detailing needed to replicate the movie, but potentially good for replicating Captain Marvel cameo. 76279 - Neat Goblin, underwhelming vehicle The Glider is nice, glad we got a Pumpkin, the Goblin looks great with the Venomized look and it's varied from just the usual white/black with Yellow for the eyes, which is greatly appreciated. Similar to Ock I'm glad we get an alternative fully Venomized head to complete the look. Spider-Car kinda lets the set down a bit. 76280 - Worth a purchase if you want Sandman/Lizard I think they could have given us a variation for Electro's face/torso, but other than that this set works pretty well on its own or combined with the other set. The encorporation of Sandman using the constraction building method works pretty well. Sandman/Lizard need to appeal to you to justify you getting this set. 76281 - Too pricey, figures are a mixed bag The build itself looks pretty great with the shaping. I'm guessing the set is scaled so it'll look appropriately sized when the X-Men Mansion set comes out. The figures are a bit of a muddle, Wolverine is nice but lacking the arm print of the CMF version while Rogue has nice torso and leg print while her hair print should be centered rather than off to the side. The price is insane and this set is not worth more than half that! 76282 - Rocket to the rescue I think this might be the best buildable figure of this style that they've done, though the head looks a bit large the build seems good. Unsure about the tail. It's nice they included another figure. Now for future speculation/hopes: I feel like 76280 is a good template for a potential Thor Ragnarok Asgard Destruction set featuring Surtur (Brick-built with printed face like Sandman) bursting through Asgard with Thor and Hela depicting the Bridge fight. As for NWH sets, I think this might be our last. While I could see justification for a cheaper way to get Ock in the form of a bridge battle set potentially featuring a variant of Green Goblin OR a Daily Bugle Van set featuring J.J.Jameson along with potentially Aunt May and Green Goblin/Lizard - I unfortunately think that they've covered the main characters they want to cover. In terms of the mechs, I feel like Lego should do a Magneto Mech featuring Classic Magneto because people would definitely go for that and it'd pair well with the X-Men sets. A set focused on the Sentinel using the mixel pieces also seems like something they should do given they did not include it in their X-Jet 'remake', perhaps have a Sentinel 'mech' set where you feature the Sentinel and Cyclops (Repeat) -

Half-venomized characters are interesting, but unless they go all the way also in set form then I don't see the point in going after them. Ideally what they should do is include that rotating gimmick where you have two variants of the same figure included and just spin something going from half-Venomized to fully Venomized versions of the characters. At which point you could have the normal version that you likely already own and then the half-venomized and fully venomized. Maybe Lego intends to do this at some point down the line with full-venomized versions of the characters in different sets - but I just don't have enough faith in them getting represented in the foreseeable future to warrant chasing them currently. It's a similar dilemma to collecting the Iron Man figures, I used to be interested in doing so until Lego altered the design and has focused primarily on slowing the release of new variations of Iron Man. At which point I lost faith in them completing the Iron Man line-up and got knock-offs to fill the gaps. Maybe one day we'll get a Malibu Mansion D2C or something similar that comes with a ton of the suits and convinces me the chance of them completiting the line-up officially still exists, but for the moment it's another thing Lego seem to tease but don't deliver on. The eyes being yellow for Green Goblin is cool. The chest logo's being slight variations on the Venom logo is also nice, especially Ock's. The trouble is that I'd want fully venomized versions of the characters to warrant getting the set and frankly Lego does not seem willing to provide the fully venomized versions. -

I think Electro had the most potential to be easily altered: Alternate facial expression for Electro as the star-mask only appeared briefly, so a non-powered version would be more accurate Alternative torso design for Electro showing the electric eminating from the arc reactor as the one from 76261 lacked any emphasis of the power supply being on They could have also went with a battle damaged version of the Spider-man suit, though admittedly the fight was only just starting at the stage those characters appeared so having him battle damaged at this point in the fight (for those only getting this set) would'nt really fit. Pretty much this, if the sets don't sell well then stores will be forced to do discounts to clear the stock and hopefully on a larger scale Lego will stop trying to price gouge and exploit its customers. -

Considering the scale and what the design is, it looks alright. The stud shooters and launchers are encorporated in a way that looks appropriate. Below is a fan moc at a larger scale that gets the angles a lot better and feels more complete. I get the feeling the Warbird is not popular enough to warrant a larger scale though. Probably licensing. -

It may have been accidentally put on store shelves, so is unable to be brought at the current time. It's one of those sets I can't see appealing to many people, so unless you are a fan you probably won't buy it in order to upload the booklet images. I'd imagine its based on scene in AoU where they are attacking the Hydra base in the snowy forest location (potentially part of the castle also or Hydra vehicles) I'd guess it'd including repeats of Hulk and Hawkeye alongside Quicksilver and a Hydra Soldier (Torso print only), potentially throwing in Baron Strucker. -

To delay at least 8 sets intended for a January release to March would be weird - I can't see it happening, would need a good reason. The only delays we've seen were due to the sets being movie tie-in's or a building fault that resulted in a new piece, the latter of which only impacted a range of mechs using the same building techniques as opposed to an entire wave. We've also seen photos of buildable Rocket Racoon box on shelves so we know that's still presumably releasing in January. I expect the photos are coming, but given how terrible Lego has been with official reveals of Marvel lately this is frankly par for the course. -

At the moment nothing about true modulars for Marvel in 2024. I'd imagine the Baxter Building would be our next modular Marvel set in 2025, either partially based on the movie (Now scheduled for a mid 2025 release) like with the Sanctum Sanctorum OR a comic inspired set as a lot of the designers have talked about including Fantastic Four characters and they've been told to basically save them. -

The prototype leaked a while back along with a lot of other prototypes for sets, was part of a survey where Lego tries to judge how much people would pay for potential future sets. It's effectively a mansion facade with a seperate section for fence/gate. I'd imagine the finished product will wind up looking like Arkham Asylum -

Reminder of Janaury (and potential January) sets that we may see in the next day or so: JANUARY 2024 (Total 9): 76275: Venom & Doc Ock ($10.99, 77pcs) (Figures rumored: Doc Ock, Venom) 76276: Venom Mech ($15.99, 134pcs) (Figures rumored: Venom) 76277: War Machine Mech ($15.99, 154pcs) (Figures rumored: War Machine) 76278: Rocket's Warbird ($34.99, 290pcs) (Figures rumored: Rocket, Ronan the Accuser) 76279: Spider-man Car ($29.99, 227pcs) (Figures rumored: Spider-man, Venom, Green Goblin) 76280: 'No Way Home set' ($34.99, 347pcs) (Figures rumored: Brick-built Sandman, Spider-man, Electro, Lizard) 76281: X-Men Jet ($79.99, 359pcs) 4 figures, no Sentinel (Figures rumored: Cyclops, Wolverine, Magneto, Rogue) 76282: 'Buildable Rocket Raccoon' ($54.99, 566pcs) (Figures rumored: Ravager Baby Groot) 76285: Spider-man Bust/Helmet $69.99 UNKNOWN 2024? (Total 4): 30679: 'Venom Street Bike' Polybag ($4.99) 76222: (Likely DC due to delays) 76283: (Listed by Jedijacpenguin & Brickfanatics) 76246: -

-Coughs loudly- :p The above set was $29.99 featuring three figures (Spider-man, Mysterio, Fireman) and a brick-built Molten Man using a head piece similar to what the buildable figures use. This time it's $34.99 (Inflation/Price gouging) and will feature three figures (Spider-man, Electro, Lizard) and a brick-built Sandman using the head piece that the buildable figures use. This way we have a Sandman that is close to the scale of the NWH set we already have - which is likely the main reason we're getting an additional set so people can finally replicate the below image. As such I understand why they would have used the buildable figure head piece as the shaping is close to how Sandman's face is here. -

FalconFan1414's was solely confirming that we would get movie tie-in sets for films released in 2024, he was not confirming or denying any Marvel movie tie-in sets in 2024. Now personally, I'd lean to it being a movie tie-in set for Despicable Me 4 releasing in July given we had tie-in sets for The Rise of Gru and I could easily see them repurpose the Lego Robotnik figures body into a Lego figure of Gru if desired if they feel a normal figure would not work. None of his remark confirms or denies Deadpool 3 sets. Context below: -

I'd imagine it'd release sometime after July, likely October-December as that seems to be when they are releasing the D2C's nowadays. I presume at one stage it was timed to release around Deadpool 3 when it was scheduled for a November release. -

The lighter skin colour is an improvement more closely matching the tone of the character. The level of detail of the costume is an improvement, however it's notably based on his extremely brief appearance in Captain Marvel where he did not have the red marks on him. They even added front of foot detailing on this version, the old version didn't have that. The Hood is a downgrade, use the other version The face is an odd situation, original I think carries more menace, but the eyes are more accurate on the new version (For when he has the Power Stone) I believe they were going for that kind of expressionless look he had on the poster whih is why the mouth is done weirdly. Once again it's a weird sorta partial upgrade similar to Ultron MK1. I'd guess the appeal would be if you want a custom Ronan from his brief appearance in Captain Marvel (Or potentially his second in command from that scene) but neither have the war-paint at that time so you'd have to find a different head and still buy the old helmet piece :L -

Yeah, it's just any delays of the 2025 films will impact Kang Dynasty and that'll impact Secret Wars... those are probably the bigger waves of Marvel Lego (I'd guess at least 4/5 sets per Avengers film) so having those delays would make things complicated. Especially seeing as they'll likely also be heavily guarded in regards to spoilers so we might end up waiting even longer for accurate sets. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The concern is less filling the gaps at this point and more in overlapping resulting in a clustered release schedule and potentially massive gaps in late 2024 and early 2025. The Thunderbolts wave of sets which would have released around November 2024 are now going to have to be delayed till July 2025. The Fantastic Four wave of sets that would have been scheduled for January 2025 are probably going to be delayed to April/May 2025. While the one or two Captain America 4 sets would release in January 2025, the Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts sets would now release within two months of each other and be on shelves at the same time. We're also reaching the stage where they probably would have had to start early production on Kang Dynasty sets in order to meet the May 2025 release, only for that to be pushed back to May 2026. They normally clear space for an Avengers film and have an entire wave dominated by figures based on Avengers... not sure what they'll do if/when Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars gets pushed back another year to 2027 and 2028 respectively, but we'll tackle that when we get there. The reshoots are probably for narrative purposes, characters and their designs should remain the same along with most of the locations. I would'nt worry about the sets lacking accuracy as such. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Though they have announced delays, I doubt that these are the final delays we'll get. Having four films in 2025 would be a mistake and go against the 'quality over quantity' they were pushing, in addition with two DC films (Superman legacy and The Batman 2) releasing that year I think it'd result in cannabilizing the box office so that would end poorly for everyone involved. I'd lean to Thunderbolts and Blade getting pushed back further. As for the announced delays impacting Lego sets, mean we probably won't get an MCU set in 2024, other than legacy sets or comic inspired X-Men sets that have some overlap with Deadpool 3. The Captain America 4 sets we know about will probably be moved all the way till January 2025 and anything else that follows would also be pushed back to release closer to the associated film. For those suggesting to fill it with comic-inspired X-Men sets, they cannot. Unfortunately production-to-set time is too long for them to impliment anything that would be able to released in time to fill the gaps. They could alter the release dates of non-MCU Marvel sets to space it out better, but they probably won't bother as they'll have other sets on shelves that will have people's attention. On the bright side though next year gives us a few things fans have been asking for: A bunch of comic inspired X-Men characters X-Men Mansion and the X-Jet Spider-man Bust/Helmet to complete the trio TASM2/NWH Lizard Electro (Francis Fyre) that might come with a 'Star' mask people wanted for Electro Arnim Zola Another buildable villain, beng Green Goblin and his Glider Possibly even Quicksilver Which are all believed to be in the first third of the year. So hopefully the other sets will give us stuff to hype over in the meantime. Yeah, there's no connection with any nearby buildings because you don't have the Grand Central Station beneath it. Its too smooth visually and the colour scheme clashes too much. I think if it was STARK Tower then it would have blended in better. I don't think you could really display it near any of the other modulars without it looking out of place currently. -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

I'm not familair with Zavok beyond his visuals, but because he's in a team formed with Eggman and Metal Sonic I included him in my theory on the characters as I think the notion of getting a 'team' of characters will help sell and he's also an antagonist for Team Chaotix to fight for playability. If they do go 5-6 characters a year, that would be great. If it was popular to go past five years I think they'd adapt the Babylon Rogues (Jet, Wave, Storm) as the next wave. I hope they do eventually give us Jet, for you :3 -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

Currently we're getting maybe four new character molds a year, as such my theory is the following: 2023: Sonic, Tails, Amy and Robotnik 2024: Shadow, Rouge, Knuckles, brick-built E-123 Omega. (Team Dark complete, Team Sonic complete) 2025: Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Metal Sonic and Silver. 2026: Big (with Froggy), Cream (with Cheese) and Blaze. (Team Rose complete) 2027: Vector, Charmy, Espio and Zavok (Team Chaotix complete, Team Vector complete, Team Eggman complete) 2025 will benefit heavily from Sonic 3 releasing either late 2024 or early 2025. Every other year focuses on completing a core team seen in the Sonic series to encourage people to collect them all.
