Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
knight_40k replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
I picked up the Dilophosaurus Ambush yesterday but haven't got around to building it yet. That was a must have for me. I will probably pick up the T-Rex Tracker next month when its double VIP points.- 1,412 replies

This is strange to hear there are so many issues with TBB. I bought my Brick Bounty 3 weeks after the pirates theme was released and I got the correct Admiral head.

I am fairly new here and don't know many building techniques. I'm working on a project that covers 6 (48x48) baseplates and I would like to be able to pick up the whole thing when I'm done rather than move it in sections, however I don't know if it will be strong enough and just crack at the seams. I'm planning to build up 3 standard brick lengths high except for a small 6 dot width, which will run the entire length, as the rest will be higher. So far I have covered most of the first layer in standard 2x4 bricks in a staggered formation with the odd 2x2 or 1x2 gap as to conserve bricks. Before I continue I would like to know if I should put a layer of plates on my first layer of bricks to try and lock it all together or should I have put a layer of plates directly on top of the baseplates first? Or will it automatically start to get stronger as I add more layers with standard bricks? I should also add that I'm going to put a layer of plates on the top of everything once it's completely covered. Any advice is appreciated.

I missed out on the previous pirate sets being in my dark ages so I would really like to see a bluecoat ship for this line. Otherwise I will be buying a second brick bounty and converting it with 2009 Imperial Flagship sails and a different color scheme.

New 2015 LEGO Town-esque house set found at the LEGO Store
knight_40k replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
The 16x16 plate in this set is the bright green color. I picked up one of these over the weekend just before double VIP points ended. Nice little house, just need to finish the roof so it can go into the city layout. -
I just bought/built The Brick Bounty today and added my own modifications to it. My only complaint about the ship is the front sail was only printed on one side, it should have either been printed on both sides or left blank. The only other ship I have to compare it to is the 6271 Imperial Flagship, so I must say I'm impressed. 4 cannons in place. I added a second chain to hold the flag in place and but a brown cone on the tip. I added 2 small pirate flags to the top of both masts because I felt they needed it. Brick Bounty and Imperial Flagship size comparison.

Thanks, that was helpful. I think I will be bricklinking that part.

What would you guys think about using the CMF Fortune Teller hair piece on a female pirate? I'm considering buying the part to make a second female pirate so that they won't look the same. Does anyone have both minifigs that could post a pic of what it would look like?

I don't remember exactly, but the ship is much larger than my Imperial Flagship 6271 so I will need these extra figs to populate it.

The only set I want from this series is The Brick Bounty but I'm waiting another week until double VIP points. The wait is killing me but I received my B&P order of extra blue coats and some pirates that don't come with the set. I'm also going to be customizing the heads of my extra troops because there seems to be a lot of repetitive faces among the line and I would like them to be more diverse. Here's a taste of whats to come.

Here's my last code, first come first serve. Battle goddess JSN-4GD-3AE-AJS

After several years of storage the cloth flags for my Imperial Flagship 6271 are wrinkled and have several crease marks. Is safe to iron the cloth flags if I put a hand towel or something over top so they don't get burnt accidentally or is there another way you would recommend? I don't want to damage them in any way.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
knight_40k replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am looking for this (blue) feather like thing on the horses head armor, does anyone know what the name of this part is or the Lego part number or point me in the direction of finding some? -
Having just got back into Lego earlier this year, I'm glad they are rehashing the Pirates theme. It was one of my favorites growing up and these new 2015 sets look pretty awesome. I can't wait to pick up a Brick Bounty or two, and possibly merge them to make a larger ship. Also, I can't wait to get my hands on that new crocodile, a must have.

Review: 5885 Triceratops Trapper
knight_40k replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
To my surprise, I found this set at my local Toys R Us earlier this week. I know it was a rare find being this is from 2 years ago and mysteriously still on the shelf all by itself. I bought it immediately. I Hope I can find more of the Dino line, but I doubt it. -
Looks like you guys have done similar builds to what I'm currently working on. I'm just waiting for my bricks order to arrive so I can finish up the castle and post some pics.

I have 3 codes that I am not sure which minifig they came from but I will post the codes and it's first come first serve. These are either Princess, Wizard or Jester... #19: 54G-KB5-VPX-R54 #22: 5H9-7P8-B9Q-GWQ #25: NVP-MJX-DS4-M8H After taking the code, please report what number unlocked which character to help others identify their code sheets.

Lego 60026 Town Square--!New Build & Review!
knight_40k replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Town
My girlfriend and I bought the bike shop and pizzeria from this set on ebay NIB. The guy was selling each bag separately and we only wanted the two buildings for our city. They were very fun to build and have nice detail. I would recommend this set. Nice to see a review. -
I'm also putting two 70404's together along with two 70402 but I need to build a custom wall in order to square it out evenly.

I'm in Vancouver. Are there many of us Canadians on this board?

Hello Everyone! My name is Ryan. I recently got back into Lego after 15 years and am currently working on a Castle theme as that has always been my favorite. I have several sets from the 2013 Castle line and have started collecting parts/pieces from older sets to customize the theme to my liking. I am also working on a custom City theme with my girlfriend. I have seen so many great creations on this forum and hope to have some of my own to share.

I picked up a few more minifigs today and here's what I was able to figure out... Pizza Guy is 26 Gamer is 27 Life Guard is 32 Dino Tracker is 20 I'm still unsure about 19, 22 and 25. Also, I'm unable to send PM's for the codes so is it ok if I post them in here and hope everyone can follow the honor system and only take the code they requested?
-
Sorry, I accidentally mixed up the papers and don't know which code came with which minifigure. Does anyone know if the number on top right corner means anything to help identify? If so, the numbers are 19, 22, 25, 26, 26, 27. I'm guessing since I have two 26 those are the two pizza guys.

I picked up a few poly bags the other day and I spent quite a bit of time doing the "feel test" to make sure I got the figures I wanted. Anyways, I have no interest in using the game codes so I thought if anyone on this forum wants/needs any I would give them away. EDIT: All my codes are gone.
