  1. Yes, i bought it because it was a set i wanted. I wasn't very aware of the pricing on MISB sets yet. If i was, i would've never ever opened it. The Explosion Studio is also a lot older than the Cafe Corner so it's much rarer to come across an MISB one, especially for just €14.
  2. I bought an MISB Explosion Studio once for €14... And i opened it.
  3. Ah, just what i wanted to ask. Can my name be changed into WSM? I don't like this old name at all. It reminds me of the past... *thinks of the past* *tries to forget as quickly as possible*
  4. Well, i finally went and photographed this one. I already took it to the previous LowLUG meet where a lot of people could see it already. I didn't feel like photographing it because it has the wrong canopy colour, and i'm super picky when it comes to that stuff. But i haven't been able to get my hands on one, and i decided to photograph it without it, as it's still a cool MOC and i want to share it with everyone. Enjoy! Be sure to check the full album on Flickr!
  5. Uh, you do realise that the road is SNOT'ed, right? Awesome build by the way!
  6. Thanks for all the comments! Here's the Neo-Classic Space colour scheme. I believe it's compiled by Pete Reid, so you can guess how serious it is. I'm usually picky about the colour scheme as it MUST be taken strict, but here i'm slightly being a hypocrite as my personal variation on the scheme consists of just building the mechanical bits in grey and adding panels and wings in blue. I feel it's more appealing and striking than building an entirely greebled-up grey base ship and wings and then add a small hint of blue at the cockpit, and it's more realistic (although... realistic spaceships? Uh...). And technically the wings ARE grey, but i've added some blue on top as panels. Yeah the bubble canopy in general is a nice piece. There's not many canopies and similars in Trans-Yellow and this Trans-Yellow one in particular has only appeared once, in a really big Atlantis set. I bet i was lucky i could find it! It was only available in 3 Dutch BL stores, 2 after i used one in my LL Gouw.
  7. I normally use grey for all greebly things and blue for all panels and besides that i just build in the standard colour scheme.
  8. Lego Classic Space - 1665 - LL Gouw by WSM_, on Flickr I finished this spaceship about two weeks ago, but as you know, the Neo Classic Space colorscheme is very strict, so i swore by getting myself a Trans-Yellow canopy before taking pictures. I hoped the guy i bought it from would attend the LUG meet i showed this model at a week ago, but sadly not, so i had to show it there with the wrong canopy (a Trans-Black one). So here it finally is! There's way more photos on Flickr which are definitely worth to check. :) Enjoy!
  9. Whoa. That's just an overkill of clips... but a good one. Really interesting. The shape when it's folded out is excellent. I'd like to see how it looks if you'd not put the... uh, clipping black wing thingies upside down so that the stickers show. I think they would greatly accompliment the transparent blue dishes on the back.
  10. I'm under 18 and i'm just as interested in Lego, buying Lego, building with Lego, participating in Lego events and talking about Lego as most AFOLs are. In fact, i attended my first LUG meet last Sunday and i had a lot of fun! I don't really think there's a need for a LUG specifically for teens, you can probably participate in normal LUG activities fine too.
  11. Today the Dutch LUG held a meetup which i attended! It was my first meetup and it was a lot of fun meeting other builders, swapping parts, figs, and other stuff and generally seeing and showcasing MOCs. I took some photos and you can see them on Flickr.
  12. I never like people who slap a bunch of sets on a bunch of baseplates and call it a display. "Look at me! I've just spent 4000 dollars on this totally unique modular street!" You're supposed to be creative with Lego. Take your stuff apart and build something with it yourself, you have plenty of bricks it seems. Displaying premade sets on a table is the most lazy and uncreative thing you can do as a Lego fan.
  13. I wish i had the money :(
  14. Whow! That's amazing. I love all the detail and the grandiose scale. Just ama- *scrolls down and sees second picture* Oowh, very nice! If the beautiful photography doesn't do the trick, that sweet fire effe- *scrolls down and sees third picture* ... No words.
  15. I like it! Very nice forms, you've definitely got your angles right. Good use of the colours too, they really make the model appear striking and contrasting.
  16. Oh, not really anyone special, just the designer of this Lego set here: The Classic Space rules say: There's some MOCs on the website that are in white and trans blue aswell. But mostly, Classic Space should be in grey and blue. I do consider it important that everything dubbed or supposed to be Classic Space is in the right colour scheme, i really think it is strict. I can't recall any yellow spaceships in any Classic Space sets, just saying. It may be a minor nitpick, but a nitpick like this is just like building a completely pink spaceship, putting a Classic Space fig in it and saying it's Classic Space themed. Yeah, you're right. Just my opinion on the Classic Space colour scheme here, and ofcourse no-one needs to listen to opinions. If anyone thought i meant otherwise, i do like this MOC and the terrain is very nice.
  17. I don't use the site actually, but i do know of the colour scheme and it is really strict.
  18. Just about everyone who builds Classic Space i assume. As i said, the colour scheme is that strict.
  19. What is with the colour scheme? It's not in Classic Space colours. Really now, a yellow... cart thing with green plates on it on a DARK GREY rail!? Uhh... really? You should read this before making your next Classic Space build, because right now it's not a Classic Space build. And yes, the colour scheme is that strict. I can definitely see that you tried the scheme (trans-clear visors, tan base) but the yellow cart just breaks it. Your MOC is not bad though, i do compliment you in using space minifigs with the planet emblem still on them. I also like the base although it's very small and because of that there's a lot of stuff going on. Also, how is the cart ever going to fit through the arches with a minifig on it? Thinking about details like those can make your MOCs quite a lot better.
  20. Holy crap! Brilliant stuff. Amazing piece usages, especially those tan bags and the zipline hooks. Very cleanly executed, i wish i could cram that much detail in such a small ship and make it look so clean.
  21. Yellow Intakes 12 by WSM, on Flickr I've showcased this build at the Beleef Lego Dagen event, and now it's also on Eurobricks! It's a yellow spaceship. It took me about two weeks to build - that means, i started two weeks ago, stopped building, then started over this weekend before the event. That doesn't mean i didn't put any effort into it though. I had to redesign the entire body to make it more sturdy, which i've done succesfully. The build is also modular, you can take various parts of the ship off so it is easier to transport, and it also fits a minifig. I wouldn't swoosh it still, cause then the wings fall off. But it looks cool though! One photo definitely doesn't do this ship justice, that's why i've posted lots more to Flickr. ;)
  22. All the photos i took today. More photos follow tomorrow.
  23. A new Lego event held in the Evenementenhal Venray, Venray being in the lower section of the Netherlands, Limburg. I will be there on both days showcasing some of my MOCs! :D More info Location: De Voorde 30, Venray, The Netherlands. Price: €2,50 per person I hope i didn't post this too late since it's already the 28th where i live but still i thought it was worthy of a post.
  24. SIIIIICK!!! Sick sick sick sick sick sick! Those are freaking awesome man!
