  1. I hope so, as I've got some funds gathered up from recent Lego sales and some spaces in my frames to buy, buy, buy! I'm sitting here contemplating buying the same stuff I have already, just cos I can... need some new stuff! Lists seem to be in fashion, so here is mine (bootleg or otherwise, I'd like one) Galactus (Sentinel style and scale) Thanos Hawkeye (old school with a H on his head) Green Goblin (old school - making one, but sure someone can do better) Red Robin (there are some customs out there, but they all seem slightly off and using a balaclava as the mask is wrong wrong wrong!!) EDIT! Also All of the Streetfighter 2 Characters! Saw a pic on the "Decool" FB feed yesterday - looked awesome Thanks - appreciate that. I built a few at first, but they are totally redundant and I have no idea why they persist. Sometimes they have some useful and interesting pieces I keep, but the rest gets swept into the bin! They are cheap enough so can't really accuse them of trying to pump up the price, but it does sometimes feel that they could have done something else instead of the bricks (another figure perhaps?)
  2. Has that been discovered through experience or have you been informed that? I am sure I was using fits lego, but may have possibly used not lego... though what difference does it make!! Where yours in the "Lego" category?
  3. Yes one of those, gives an email address which is linked to a legal firm - basically just suggests you contact them to get the reason. It was 3 SWAT guys, which technically aren't copies of any Lego figure, was sold as lego compatible, which may have been the issue? I had another one shut down a month ago, which was a shoebox full of kreo, megablocks and other tat, I had listed that it could be used with lego etc - that auction did not last long! but I mean is that really a problem for Lego??! I agree on your points on Lego, there is a wealth of characters out there, minifigs are the big sellers, why not sell more of them? People would pay £5 or more for most figures (I would). Certainly resellers make a lot of money out of Lego by splitting off sets, so why shouldn't Lego take control of that market themselves? I am sure people would still buy the play sets as well - if they were good enough (some are really bad and only worth it for 1 figure - Iron Man vs The Mandarin I am looking at you) The Lego Games for both DC and Marvel have loads of characters in them, yet we get the same Batman over and over and over. Real opportunity for them, but they don't take advantage of their own IP, so its no wonder Lele, Decool and SY are suddenly so popular. I am going to be annoyed if I can't sell my Framed Iron Man Hall of Armour on ebay though...
  4. Just had another auction removed. Urgh.
  5. I really want a good Galactus - and to scale(ish) so Sentinel sized
  6. I'm all about the lists, I document what I keep in my 7 modified display frames and obsess about what goes where. So I quite enjoyed reading yours. Saaaaaaad I know.
  7. Ah Man! These guys suck! They are right though, it's seriously devaluing the resale of Geniune lego, I can't shift my Rocket Raccoon, even though its one of the cheapest on ebay, however when did a figure become worth £15? These resellers are taking the michael most of the time anyway! Would be disappointed if I couldn't sell my spare bootlegs on ebay though, its not as if I even ask a lot, mostly just want stuff for free!
  8. Still grieving over the price increase, and I'm only paying around £1 a figure
  9. That's happened to me too, had a incorrect Nick Fury, got a whole new figure sent out - more recently had a bad batman, asked for a minor refund - a quid I think, instead he offered smaller refund of around 65p or send a new figure... errr new fig please! not sure how that is better value for him including the shipping, but it seems that they must be getting a superb bulk buy price and our shipping prices are insanely expensive compared to theirs - I can't even send something to the next street for less than 73p!
  10. I expect he's doing so to shift a few units before the bootleggers sell them for 60p each! I'll take a look though, the character is interesting and I like his design - he'd fit in well in my display! EDIT - hmm! there are only 3 figs to buy and no Collector.. though $4 for that sweet Gambit head is interesting - pity its $10 shipping!
  11. Long may it continue in my view, though I am more interested in stuff that either has never and will never be produced by lego (apart from the SDCC stuff, which are quite frankly unobtainable otherwise) - not really that keen on Bootleggers just copying ALL the lego catalogue. I have enjoyed the Fantastic Four duel between the bootleggers, we've got some great results out of it, but the recent GOTC duel has been a little disappointing. Aside from a blurry pic of a new Groot - which may be great (or not) and some generic army builders, the set is basically the same as Decool's - I wish we had got the Collector in there, or a Thanos. Overall though as Praiter Yed says, this thread is extremely addictive and so are the bootleggers releases - the change in quality over the last year has been incredible (aside from the odd hilariously bad set) - long may it continue!
  12. Is that official? Now that is interesting.... Though I am growing to love my bigfig groot, that would enable me to fit more figs in the frames....
  13. They look really good, not into military, but I can definitely see some appeal with those - great variation and ace accessories
  14. I made it! I have 2 so it will be dropping onto ebay soon
  15. I know we've been spoilt, but the upcoming figs look a bit lame to me. Also the prices have pretty much doubled, still a bargain, but I was once getting 6 figures for less than 2.50!! ah, heady days. Still having to resist urges to buy more - I've got 117 slots for figures in my display frames and I am full(!!), need to review them .... might make a few more frames to sell before christmas to assist the clear out and generate some Lego investment funds! Decided to buy a Hulkbuster (and naturally shave its bum off so it will fit) but it will mean sacrificing two figure slots, oh the dilemma! Am enjoying the custom possibilities that the bootlegs provide though - keep an eye on Flickr tonight for my latest attempt!
  16. Has anyone seen the new Decool FF pic that "Decool" has put on their (probably not really Decool) FB Feed? Not sure if its a MOC or actually happening but the Reed Richards is brilliant! Can't link the pic here at work unfortunately, but well worth a look. Its probably a MOC isn't it....
  17. That would be pretty cool, would make me consider swapping for my big fig.. I don't understand why no one has the rest of the leaflet - its maddening!
  18. Awful. But this satisfies my desire for more. For now!
  19. But, but... I can't wait! And releasing more of the same is rubbish! I want new stuff From Spoiled Man
  20. It's all gone a bit quiet on here, has no one got any more scoops of upcoming bootlegs?
  21. I've used the dark purple hip from Joker's Henchman
  22. Yeah - wasn't the print botched on Dark Phoenix's legs as well!
  23. Back to ebay and bootlegs, looks like another sweep has been made. I bought 2 items, The 8pc Superman set as the Aliexpress seller didn't pull his finger out for almost 3 weeks and The Dark Knight Set (with Bane. Gordon & Bats) - which was on for a ridiculously low price so I had to buy it. However the seller in question (who had 16734 feedback) has been "removed from ebay" - Supes is showing as sent, but the Batman set is not. I guess I can claim back via Paypal, but that really sucks. No way to contact the seller it seems either. Not sure what happens here, as all ebay says is that if you have paid don't worry the transaction will still go as normal (and use resolution centre if not) - however if seller has been binned off ebay why would he be obligated to do the transaction? Looks like I'll have to be patient now and see what arrives in a few weeks, but that does but a spanner in my plan to sell off a load of my spares!
  24. Ha! I know, I know My twisted need to expose big figs buttocks, well that and my desire for them to fit in my display frames (see Flickr link in my sig for more sense!)
