  1. Yeah shame that, I'll probably use the decool head but keep my SY bizarro torso
  2. Fantastic - thanks, couldn't find any sets at all when doing a search! I've been looking at those for a while, I think the "light flesh" colour will be a massive disappointment. I've made my own Ryu using flesh arms on a Luke Tatooine (from the Advent Calendar) and a decal for the face (with bandana) doesn't look too bad. Would love a SY or even a Decool set of those though
  3. Yeah so cheap its now unavailable! Bah
  4. Looks like its been inspired by DC Comic's The Creeper to me
  5. Not going to go into panic mode just yet, as he has always delivered before, but has anyone ordered from Tom Zhou recently? It's stated that the Hulkbuster has shipped, but he seems to have been removed from Aliexpress, and hasn't answered any messages. There is a tracking code, but comes up as invalid on the tracker... You always get your money back on AE, but this is a little frustrating! Is AE cracking down on bootlegs? I've already had a seller telling me he's had to open a new store as someone reported his products as not being official.
  6. Tom Zhou has shipped my SY Hulkbuster! Quite excited about this one - £5.95! ridiculous.
  7. I've had the Bohzi Deadpool set, the figures were excellent, but the bricks were tough on the fingers - but an accurate build non the less! Cheers for your list of wants, however at present I am looking for Jean Grey (Vehicle version) myself at the moment and don't have any (spare anyway) of what you are looking for
  8. **cough cough ** The sentinel has a load of potential Custom Lego X-Men Sentinel by Andy Kirby, on Flickr
  9. I've paired Brainiac with some of the Alien Invasion legs and it looks great - I mean its almost like it was designed to match, which really makes me wonder why Lego don't think about these things more, plain legs now on figures is almost inexcusable! Supergirl has marks on the torso (like so many pictures I had seen of the set) Odd. Have raised a query about replacement with the seller - will see what happens. The Flash set is great, I'm keeping the CW ones I have decided, though I have swapped the CW Flash head for my original SY Head - works better for me. Very impressed with the set on the whole (just don't take the helmets off!!)
  10. I am guessing by your username that you are UK based? I'd consider swaps for the right figure...
  11. Haha, yes, and don't come back until you think about what you've done!!
  12. I prefer the bucket Flash helmets as its more like the Lego Game, the other helmet seemed odd to me
  13. Haha yes was thinking the same! Around £4 for 8 decent figures is not really the same as making £50 for one reasonable Rob! The faces are all really bad, but once the Helmet is on, I'll be ok. Only really wanted to upgrade my Reverse Flash and I like the look of the CW version Flash. The others I'm not that bothered about as they are a little too obscure for me. I'm looking forward to them arriving... for £4!!! Mental.
  14. Not exactly bootleg, but guess who has just picked up a Brick Affliction Halo Master Chief figure for a tenner today cos it was horribly described on ebay? Yes. This guy!
  15. True - and I felt that the last SY lot I had was a little disappointing qualitywise. haha - and these are supposed to be bootlegs! We have been spoiled with some qaulity stuff though! Speaking of quality (or not) received these today http://www.aliexpress.com/item/6pcs-Set-2015-Moive-Big-Hero-6-Baymax-Hiro-Hamada-Fred-Figures-Toys-Sets-Minifigures-Bricks/32331199311.html Now, they are Kreon rip offs, but probably the best versions of Big Hero 6 I have seen yet. The Baymax figure is smaller than the pic suggests which is a shame, the pastic isn't brilliant either, but kudos on the overall effort. Baymax will get a pass into my Displays!
  16. Those Decool figs look more like Dargo quality!! Hope they are better than that....
  17. Here is my version, thanks for the inspiration!
  18. That would be most excellent!
  19. I am eagerly awaiting my "kreo" Baymax set. I did have several other orders, but cancelled them after horrific waiting times (and the Decool announcement) I love having a steady stream of stuff coming, but I am a bit light at the moment, and it looks like the 6 day ship was a one off too. bah. Going to have a fair few spare figures now, will have to work out what to do with them... maybe some more frames on ebay. If anyone did actually manage to get the Jean Grey Set (with the cannons) and doesn't want her, I'd be interested in buying
  20. I've got to stop being an early adopter! That price is way better than what I have paid. Oh well. Just another note on the quality of the bootleggers bricks, which are generally poor - but I have found them very helpful recently in building MOCs, I can get a much better idea of what to order for BL by practically building the whole thing with multi-coloured junk bricks which is really useful. FWIW Bela bricks (the first thing I ever bought of Aliexpress was a test purchase of a Chima Micro Ball jointed Gorilla for about £2.50) are I think the best ones (out a bad bunch) I have reused all the brackets and micro ball joints in my new brick built Sentinel (coming to Flickr soon, once a few more parts arrive!)
  21. It's the best Dargo set I have seen yet, but still waaaay off - bullet dodged with my cancellation! Worth waiting for Decool now. Haha, you just reminded me, I do have one Custom SW Figure - Thrawn - which I made myself and I was well chuffed with it - though its decal based, I've sold quite a few of them on ebay. Do you have a Mara Jade Pic? Though like Thrawn, she's no longer canon! I am hoping Thrawn will be used at some point in the new films, he's a terrific character. I think the DLP Fury is superior (though I swapped heads) I've just decided that he's wearing LBG trousers and DBG Zipper under his black trench!
  22. Heh, last night I noted that all 60 odd of my displayed Star Wars figures were originals, no bootlegs - I would be pretty excited if the bootleggers (or Lego for that matter) produced some of the more obscure characters! I have been very underwhelmed by all of the LOTR and SW bootlegs. Having said all that, the bootleggers don't generally seem to want to produce non Lego produced figures on the whole, just existing - and even worse at times the ones that have already been done by a rival company!! But when they do, its very exciting - wish they'd do more - I love the likes of FF, Punisher, Hawkeye, Galactus and the big Figs etc Obviously they when they do go off the Lego produced tracks, then I suppose they rely on pinching other peoples designs - I am less aware of Star Wars customs than Super Hero - must look into that...
  23. Bit late to this one, but... I still buy Lego Sets for the fun of the build, and the rarer figures, Bootlegs are great too as I have been able to farm them out to my kids while hiding Official ones in my own collection! In some cases I have been happier with the bootleg versions, some I have replaced with Customs (e.g Phoenix Customs - nobody yet has done a Captain America or Gambit like he does or Onlinesailin's Nightwing). And of course I am never going to have a real SDCC figure, it just doesn't make any finanical sense at all! We rarely keep the sets due to space restrictions and the fact that for some reason once its built the kids lose interest, so I am always turning round sets so I can get something else. I have bought most of the Cuusoo (Ideas) sets, but then Bootlegs has enabled me to get Rocket's Ravager (meh) and the impossible to buy 7881 Batmobile (awesome). Most of all its enabled me to fill my collection with great characters existing (made by Lego) or new (not made by Lego) incredibly cheaply, which for me is a real help, because I may have found myself bankrupt if this collection was all 100% real thanks to the after market, which although is frustrating I understand, its a sellers market when certain figures come only in big price sets - I both benefit and suffer from this. Bootlegging has made it much easier. In addition, this thread has certainly opened my eyes to the greater customisation world, a year ago I had never even thought of doing a custom figure, now I can not only cheaply source parts, but have discovered a whole community to be inspired by and share with - pretty cool. Yep, the bricks are generally horrible, colours are still not right either - let alone the clutch
  24. Well, I've cancelled Dargo! That decool lineup looks great, and I'm willing to wait for the likes of Maria Hill, scarlet witch with a double printed face and Vision
