The design in game is not made by lego. And why would they make another helmet thats 90% the same as laketown guard helmet. waste. If they were gonna make these guys that would have been the helmet mold they would make, and then recolor it for Laketown guards. Laketown guards can have helmets without the fishtale, but Dale soldier cant have a helmet with a fishtale.

Well kindof, the lake town people put on gear and use weapons found in the Dale armory. Lego won't be producing them.

^ but bo5a will be the main attraction of the movie. People will recognizze it without the main characters. Beorn set wasnt even based on the movie. That said, I think 2 main characters is enough in that set. But I kindof think it'll be Legolas in his travel clothes, since we're getting Tauriel in laketown (presumably) and Legolas is more popular I think. The worst thing that could happen to this set: Gandalf, Thorin, Azog, Bilbo, More of company Imagine how Glorious a Gandalf-free wave would be!

Yeah you are wrong, new design is all metal and had like 4 edges, old was 3 metal edges and had alot of bone on it.

To me voice actors does not count. And the actor-minifig conenction has to be direct. Ian Mckellen should not get credited for Magneto for example The connection should be that lego is trying to recreate what the actor looked like in the specific movie.

-The mace is cool looking, but it should be noted thats the design of old-Bolg's mace-I don't think we'll get Bolg in a set, Not looking like that, The "boot printing" Isn't really a thing. And when lego do boot printing, the whole leg is colored like the boot, and the fflesh is printed on, wich leaves you with the back of the leg the same color of the boot. Theres also the thing that movie Azog also wears boots, but lego didn't give him boots. In the DC game msot figs had added, boots, why would the game add boots to Bolg and not Azog? Also his metal head piece in the game, does not connect around the stud, wich means it would be fragile, or if its rubber it could easyly loose it's shape and not fit on the stud anymore. I just don't think the videogame Bolg is something we'll see in a set. Laketown set: Tauriel, Bain, Bard, + Laketown guard and or an Orc (if they make new armored orcs they could put one in here, tauriel was figthing orcs in laketown after all, and and this would give people a way of increasing their orc army, and it would be more popular putting in the new armored orc than resuing the hunter orc again). The videogame shows us figures from the 2 smaller sets, but nothing from BO5A or Erebor (except smaug) I'm thinking they didn't get access to the figs from these 2 sets yet, or they are purposfuly keeping away uintill the dlc. Why can we be pretty sure about that?

Cant we get 1 of each + Dain? Lake-man, Dwarf soldier, Elf soldier, Orc soldier, Eagle + Dain ironfoot? Then throw Bolg in for good measure.

I think perhaps No Beorn, but instead 1 warg and 1 eagle. It would be a bit strange to have no eagle in this set when it's considered the 5th army. Lego already has made eagles so it would be no big deal putting one in, and it's only been in 2 sets before 1 of wich was an exclusive. Neither black gate or Orthanc really needed the eagle, I don't think the eagle would get made if it was only gonna be in those 2 sets. As for the wargs, they have been in an ARMY set, wich is cheaper and they almsot expect you to buy multiples of, so a wargs is soemwaht less likely.

The BO5A set is more expensive and has more pieces than those other sets..

With or without hair, doesent matter to me, but I'd assume alot of people would want it without so you could turn their heads aswell as use it on other moc things. That said, i wouldnt want hair in front.

Here's what bo5a need, we already got the shield, now they just gotta follow through with the armor.

Tolkien is the first part in the chain, but by the time it reaches lego he doesen't matter anymore. If tolkien says smaug is green, but PJ says he's blue. It would not matter to lego what tolkien said, they would make him blue.

But they should not change design features, smaugs horns are sepearated into a block one ach side, giving them an ear-type feel to the design, lego's addition makes it seem like a circle, wich gives him a whole diferent feel to what is intended, it's like adding a unibrow to a characther that does not have it..

Lego has the movie lisence, and it's about movie accuracy, what the book/tolkien did doesen't matter. Lego isn't supposed to make a new interptation, they are suppsoed to legofy what was done in the movie.
