I hope lego pretends all the dead ghost men doesent exist Unless the theme contines so long that most other characthers are covered.

This part is in Lothlorien not in Rivendell. this could work as a small set similar to Gandalf arrives, but I wouldnt want this cause it would be another set with frodo in it, add in a random elf and it would be a nice deal.

After seeing the review of that new clone wars battle pack I tought the fabric parts could work well for Eomer so i did a quick drawing in paint with a mouse to see how it would look. Im quite please with the look, so I think I will modify my Eomer when/if I get him. Atleast the shoulder pads, the skirt thing would be impractical on a horse.

Propably, but that is more of a thing keeping them from using characthers, places and stories from the books that didn't appear in the movies.

Looks really good! Hope to see more lotr mocs from you. I like the scale of things, cause it is similar to how TLC makes their sets wich I'm found of. When I see colloassal moc models of buildings sure they looks cool and that but it is unrealistic as something we can hope for tlc to produce. I do really hope we get easterling minifigures at some point!

The entes was in the extended movie, I dont know how it was in the book but in the movie they are the forest the uruk run into and then the trees starts smashing them.

It does indeed reflect diferent opinions since so many are posting. And everyone is aware that the images are not final. Also the thing with main characthers in sets limiting army building is bad for army builders, but good for minifigure collectors so someone is gonna complain either way, for example it would be useless to me if it had no unique characthers.

Eomer, Royal guard the eyes on this doesent look like the one in the set Your right about the cape, and Eomer never used a shield

Uruk-hai army, the rider.

A sige tower with a troll, orcs and Minas tirith soldier with a catapult. Mumakil with haradrim archers, Eowyn, Merry and a horse. A set similar to "uruk-hai army" only with Easterlings, these guys look awesome!

Potc only has 4 zombies , and only 2 of them really does anything in the story. For the first wave I think the orc options will be very limited if "orc forge" is coming then im guessing 2 orcs. If next lotr wave focuses on ROTK then I think we'll see similar options what we've seen of the uruk-hai.

Just for speculation and comparison. -Prince of persia had 12 new Molds. -Pirates of the caribbean had 16 new molds. -So far we have seen 10 new molds for Lord of the rings (these are the one that for sure are in the preliminary pictures. Elf hair, Gimli helmet, theoden helmet and the one ring not included cause the images are too blurry too be sure. its 14 if you include them) Keep in mind nothing is confirmed yet! 1 gandalf beard 2 hobbit hair 3 horse 4 cave troll 5 goblin hair 6 gollum 7 uruk hai hair 8 uruk-hai shield 9 uruk hai helmet 10 Eomer helmet _____________ 11 Theoden helmet (This might be Eomer helmet in another color) 12 The one ring ("Shelob attacks" gold stuf in frodos hand is propably a stand in for this.) 13 elf/legolas hair 14 Gimli helmet POP minifigures 16 POTC minifigures 30 LOTR minifigures so far21 Troll included.

Sadly no, but you can see how one good mold can be enought for quite a few swords. 1 All these could use one sword Boromir, Gandalf, Aragorn, Faramir, nazguls 2Same with these. Eowyn, Theoden, Eomer aswell as generic Rohan soldier sword

I just noticed, this looks like no lego sword I recall, infact i think the the shapes look like THIS I know this isn't consistent with the timeline of the movies but still, it doesent look like the celcic sword when u look closely. Might very well jsut but the compression on the image messing it up, time will tell . I hope they dont use the celtic sword for anyone cause most/all the sword in the movies are flater and sleeker.

If you are expecting the helmet to be smaller you're propably in for a bad suprise. If not then get ready for some smooth non-sticker ptinting to look wikid. I am rellay looking forward to seeing all the finished minifigures and some glimpses at the sets!

If you look a few pages back you see an image I posted of the minifig from the "index" on the box and it is Haldir! They did not joke around when they called the minifigs collectible there are very few repeats of minifigures in these sets. I really hope they dont do chrome swords, they always looks so out of place.

I sure hope frodo doesent get 2 outfits that is just a shirt and suspenders with diferent colors.

Here is my MOC of the Golden playset style. I thought it was an iconic building to try and make, aslo i doubt we'll see it in lego seeing as there wasnt much action going on there. Yeah, Sting in particular seems like it needs to get made, seeing as how its in both LOTR and The Hobbit. Looking forward to our first glimpses at new minifig gear. I also hope the hobbits get a black leprachaun Pot with a handle so they have something to cook all their meals in!

Are we not seeing any Avengers prelim pictures because Marvel is trying to keep things so tight with the alien enemy? Normaly retails would get to see the sets and place orders by now right? like with the rest of the themes we've seen pix of now.

Gandalf has a new beard! So far no sign of a shield for Boromir. The green minifig in Helms deep is a stand in for the kamikaze uruk-hai that lights the bomb.

Its not wierd because none of those scenes in the movies had orcs in them! The hobbit wave should have some orcs in them, unless all the orc stuff is in the 2. hobbit movie.. if so then you can expect propable orcs andmore of a focus on the return of the king!

I think they wont replace the figures from the collectible figs theme.
