The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Interesting. An old-style Batman torso with black wings, more GCPD body armor, and a very Nightwing-esque Batbike. Shame there's no Polka-Dot Man in these, as I was pretty sure he's rumored for inclusion. That Bane set is high priority. -
Gearing Up by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr Weapons of War by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr Put these two pics together, and I feel like we have the showdown of the century.

Lorne Balfe is an incredible composer! He worked on Assassin's Creed Revelations and III's soundtracks, and III's is one of my favorites in that entire series! I'll definitely consider getting this soundtrack once I see the movie.

Wonder Girl by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr Finally got to put together my Wonder Girl! Parademon by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr I realize we're highly likely to get parademons later this year, but this face was too good to turn up, and I doubt we'll see blue and gold used then. Shame there isn't a good way to make a classic green and gold parademon, as far as I'm aware. The Spoiler by Charlie Griffin, on Flickr Very similar to Zergos' version from a few pages back, but I felt like Spoiler absolutely needed this particular head. It's just too good.

Regardless of how much the Disco Tears pack costs to get, I think I'll be covered getting Arkham Asylum. -
I'll eat megabloks if that is a set. It has a preexisting figure on a vehicle that feels more MOC than actual set, and I've never seen any set revealed like that. I wouldn't bet on it.

I've played through it, and I can assure you, it isn't tedious or boring. Without a doubt, it is the best Alien game out there. And if you are concerned about getting bored, there's a very good range of difficulties, so you can pick a harder one to make it even more tense.

That baby mooshroom though!

Don't fret; failure is part of the process. Good luck with the next attempt!

It's because of how many movies he's made that were not well received: After Sixth Sense, which is very good, and Unbreakable, which is also pretty good, he had Signs, which had a really stupid twist, The Village, which is very contested (although with more than a few supporters), Lady in the Water, which really doesn't have any strong supporter base, The Happening, which was very, veeeeery dumb (plants are making people kill themselves!), The Last Airbender, which even with executive meddling, many of the bad creative choices were all on him, and After Earth, which was so bad it has given Will Smith his arguably worst role (and he's been a good actor in bad movies before). It's not all doom and gloom, though; The Visit has gained decent support, while not from everyone, by many, and Split seems to be pointing in the direction that he can still make a good movie. Most recently, I saw Passengers. A pretty good movie, but it does handle a very morally gray question, and not everyone was happy with the way it went about it. I thought it handled it well; no spoilers, but a character makes a decision that is definitely bad, but in a place of mental unwellness, and the movie shows that the character is very flawed in doing so and never tries to justify the action as "good," yet it isn't a "bad guy" outright because of it. Your mileage will definitely vary on this film, though. Knowing what SS is (a film with not just a few flaws), I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the character portrayals on the main Squad, even the lesser-used characters, and while Leto isn't my favorite performance, I felt it sufficed for now. And it certainly looks good; costumes are great, and it was nice to see a super hero flick with more overt horror imagery in a few places, which I wouldn't mind to see more of in other films of the genre (in comics, Super Heroes tend to have a lot more horror-esque ties than we see in many adaptations, probably from the golden days of horror comics from when supers were still fairly fresh-faced). Frankly, I enjoyed this a lot more than several recent Marvel films, which are not-even-arguably better-made films, because it is doing something different, whereas they are getting way too formulaic for my tastes. But that's just me.

Yeah, I feel like the cell number was odd for the inmate number. -

Aw shucks! I've really had an ear for the corn suit. Since I felt like there was a kernel of truth in the rumors, I've been stalking around for a while to find a picture like this! This is much to my amaizement! Yes, I know, very corny. If I didn't let it out I'd just pop though!- 1,421 replies

Armored Batman, both with and without the armor piece, is superb. Definitely one of the best.

I just read through the FBTB Arkham Asylum review, and yet again, an FBTB review for this wave had me rolling my eyes, although thankfully this was only one part and not the whole thing *cough cough, cmf*. The reviewer was wondering why Catwoman's cell is allowed "no stationary" and has a Jokerized Batman face in it. Perhaps that's because it's intended to be Joker's cell? The face should be a dead giveaway, and Joker has murdered people with writing utensils in multiple films now (and pretends to in Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth). -
Usually, there's fair warning. I do remember, though, many of the 2015 sets, in particular some of the Justice League-inspired DC sets, just sort of dropped into retirement out of the blue, and I had to scramble to find a different seller on Amazon for the last one I needed before the price skyrocketed.

Oh my goodness is it! I went in expecting a solid over-the-top sci-fi shooter, and what it turned out to be was a story-driven narrative with nuanced characters and several moments of surprising poignancy... wrapped up in a solid over-the-top sci-fi shooter! :D I finally platinum-ed and 100% the trophies for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens and all add-ons, so now I'm currently working on GTA V and a very under-the-radar stealth game called Aragami. If you've not heard of the latter, look it up. It's quite interesting.

Every time I see emoji anythings, be it merch or this movie, I feel like it's a bunch of older-middle aged marketers desperately trying to appeal to a younger generation they don't really grasp. It pains me so badly.

Believe me, there are plenty of obscure villains out there to use, and several big-namers unused. Ra's al Ghul could team up with Maxie Zeus, for example! -

Oh... oh no... That's just... dear god why... If a second wave of Batman CMFs turns up, I'll be okay with that, as long as it feels justified. -

Yeah, it's certainly not ideal. Chin up, though; if the Switch does better, which seems likely, it shouldn't be an issue for too much longer.- 201 replies

Generally, but not always, a "super hero" is someone who fits most of the general criteria of the genre, such as: a costume, a desire to stop criminals, powers, existing in a super-heroic universe (or multiverse), so on. So, even when not in costume, the characters are still super heroes.
