  1. I doubt we'll see any direct sets based on the film, but with renewed public attention, I suspect we'll see more Leaguer attendance in next year's sets, the way Lego sometimes does when they don't adapt a movie character directly.
  2. I think there was a point he was briefly white in the comics, just as an artistic touch, but that’s it’s been a decade or longer. Don’t quote me on it, it’s barely a half-remembered thing my research hasn’t really confirmed yet.
  3. The gliding cape had me hyped, but that Swooshy cape has me over the moon now! It is going to be GREAT for display! UPDATE: After looking at the HD pictures, I really am intrigued by Nightwing's detailing, and would love to see if he has an alt-face.
  4. I noticed that right off the bat. It goes back at least to Jurassic World's first wave, and has been used in some City stuff, but the colors are at least accurate enough to the scene (although he had his jacket halfway zipped, if I remember correctly).
  5. Yeah, it's such a rare thing, I had to look it up again to jog my memory.
  6. Yet again, I really like the Jurassic line-up of both sets and dinosaurs. Obviously, the Indominus looks sooo much better now, as it is considerably more accurate; I'm certainly going to have to justify getting that one. The new dinos are all great too; the Gallimimus is probably my favorite, but that Anky and the babies are great too. Even the recolored Raptor and Ptero are nice. Sad there's no Allosaurus, though.
  7. That white Man-Bat is interesting, because it closely resembles stuff from around ten years back (if not before), like a SDCC-exclusive action figure, The Batman show, and if I'm remembering correctly, a brief stint in comics where he was given albino coloration in bat form. Definitely not complaining, even as obscure as that stuff is, because any other brown look would just look similar to the last version or the other non-DC Bat Monster figures. Bronze Tiger looks good, considering I like the Rebirth look he sports here. Nightwing's Rebirth look is also nice to have, and though Batgirl's figure is accurate to what it's being based off of, I'm just not a huge fan of that look in the first place. Another female domino mask face is not a bad thing though. The mobile command center build is also a nice change from what Bat-vehicles we typically get on repeat. Harley looks good, as we knew, and since Joker's wearing the same as his newest version, I won't have to pick up that Batmobile now for that version, so that'll save me a few bucks. I also really like the Arkham Knight-esque version of Batman's vehicle in this set. Penguin is probably the least exciting figure out of these for me. He's not awful, but we've already seen so many Penguin figures with similar looks, and for once, I just want to have a normal Penguin without that tooth-baring grin. Would a scowl or a grimace really be so bad? Also, I'm DONE with that black-suited look Batman keeps getting in this kind of set. That torso has been used since 2012, for Pete's sake. The new gliding cape is extremely nice to get though, so it's not all bad.
  8. After toying around with the concept for a while, and several days of tweaking and coming back to the idea, I finally came up with a minifig-scale Rahkshi I'm satisfied with! I went with Vorahk due to the ease of finding black parts in the right color, but I'm also considering jumping on Bricklink at some point to see how many I can make. Also used Thok and a makeshift matoran to show size and other angles.
  9. The one from the set with Aquaman had identical tubing on the torso print to the Arkham City suit. The head did not match, but the rest was very close.
  10. Okay, so first off, love the new Harley. I'll have to have one in hand to be sure on where I rank it, but it will definitely be one of my favorites (probably behind Apocalypseberg, which is still SO EXPENSIVE on Bricklink, but I Iike this face more). As for the Wonder Woman set, HO-LY-CRAP do I like that. We NEVER get stuff this original in the DC sets! It's amazing! Wonder Woman's figure is beautiful, I'm decently fond of the Cheetah figure (I'll be more decisive when I see higher-def pics; I'm not fond of the design in all of the merch, like the Pop, but it seems to work here; no clue if I'll like it in the movie yet or not), and though the Maxwell Lord does not appear to have new designs, it appears reasonably close to Pedro Pascal, so I'm fine with it. And that build! Looks like we have some (potential) degree of Brother Eye in the movie. How cool is that satellite dish! 2 HOUR LATER UPDATE: Found a better look at the 'figs! Wonder Woman is really perfect for her Golden Armor. Cheetah's look translates EXTREMELY well into minifigure form up-close (although I'm almost certainly swapping out the hair for one that matches the comic color more closely), and Lord is still a reasonably close-enough bunch of repeat parts since we're getting the two amazing others.
  11. Had the pieces conveniently within reach, so here ya go!
  12. IF we get Black Mask, I would loooooove to see the sculpted skull-piece from last year’s Ninjago sets get used. Finally have every CMF except Sinestro (who I still cannot find, and may just bite the bullet and Bricklink because I’m tired of searching for him), including spares for Jay (to make The Rival) and Simon Baz for extra rings for the other GLs (and purist alien GLs too).
  13. I've finally managed to pick up all the CMFs except four: Bat-Mite, Huntress, Sinestro (who is being a real pain in the foot to feel for vs Simon), and Bumblebee. Anyone have any tips for finding Sinestro (i.e. where in the box his bags tend to be, feeling his hair, etc.)?
  14. I'm not really digging the set, although I will admit, at least the helicopter looks like it could be used for display with other themes as well. Probably the best Black Widow 'fig we've gotten, but Taskmaster looks pretty dull (not really Lego's fault here). That Quad build is absolute garbage.
  15. One of my local Walmarts finally stocked the CMFs, but they only had a few out. Bizarrely, after feeling, there were only two Superman, two Metamorpho, and two Stargirl currently out, so I at least grabbed one of each. Sadly, none of my main man Jay. Nicely, though, they were out for the cheap price like before.
  16. My dumb local Walmart still has practically nothing new, including the CMFs. Now Walmart’s website is showing $5 on them for me, so I may have missed the opportunity to get them cheaper since local stores never stock Lego on schedule.
  17. This is an old photo of mine, but I played around with making a "classic" Superman based on A) Classic Yellow, and B) his younger days Tee-shirt and jeans combo he did in Grant Morrison's Action Comics.
  18. Marketing, fluctuations in prices of raw materials, import/export costs and tariffs, calculating cost vs risk when looking at similar lines such as TLBM CMFs, and such all come to mind. Remember, TLG is a company operating on a MASSIVE scale across the world, and has to have such in-depth considerations that we would never be able to consider them all. Does it suck to have to pay more for these? Yes. But, if we aren't paying more for these, there's such a high chance we wouldn't even have these at all.
  19. Superman's normal face is nice. I'm still surprised I never saw anyone leak his normal face.
  20. It's been almost three years since I made a Brickfilm, and I was legitimately missing it. After several false starts on projects that never took off this year, I have finally made a new film. Enjoy!
  21. HOLY MATA NUI, YOU GUYS! JAY GARRICK HAS WINGS PRINTED ON HIS BOOTS!!!!!!!
  22. You didn't even accuse anyone else of this and I honestly feel so attacked right now.
  23. That's very plausibly Vicki Vale. It looks a lot like her dress from significant scenes in the 1989 movie.
  24. Bat-mite looks like his classic self, which is exactly what he was supposed to be, so I'm satisfied. Joker looks spot-on for TDKR. Definitely glad for the leg printing, and just want to point out that he most definitely was selling poisoned cotton candy in the story, making this our official darkest Easter Egg in the series. Superman's muscle shading is a little odd. I'll need to see better pics before I'm completely sold on it.
