Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Asphalt replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
The Witch gathers up his belongings from the bar top and moves off in the direction indicated. Sorrow, shall we agree to sleep for one Portion of the Cycle, and then leave to find the debtors? βWhen he arrives at the doors he attempts each until he finds a door that can be opened with the key he was given. He pokes his head through the door and looks over the room before entering. -

Vindsval takes his key from the Proprietor. And which way to our rooms? -

?Spending three quarters of the day in bed, might be a bit extravagant my friend. I say we sleep deeply for a short period, and then work our way through the list of debtors you have been given." Vindsval also hands Stein 30 gold for the use of a room. -
Who said that?

OOC: ok thanks, once Sorrow replies I will probably rest for one section then we can go about trying to find the men who owe him money. Vindsval Continues to sip his mead while listening to the music and murmurs of the Saloon. He lays the bifrost Blades on the Bar top, and Casts Poison on them until successful. -

Vindsval listens to the barkeep, his brows raise at the price. But, when you are the only game in town... Though your price seems somewhat steep, you have me at the proverbial crossroads. What say you Sorrow? Shall we rest our heals here this night and find our compatriots in the morn? -

What is this of collecting tabs? Are you now a debt collector among all of your other many talents Friend Sorrow? You truly walk a broad path. Vindsval chuckles low in his chest, a sound like the grating of boulders in a dry stream. He looks to Stine. I am certainly not one to leave a debt hanging over my head. When one has a head as large as mine, it is too easy a target as it is. I would certainly not expect you to offer lodgings out of the goodness of your heart. Though, I would certainly not turn down such an offer. βReturning his eye to Sorrow. Would it be beyond hope to expect the two of them to both be standing when we meet again. The way they speak to one another, like an old bitter married couple, one would expect them to either be at one another's throats or in one another's arms. They are certainly a pair our Prophet and our Hunter. I mean no disrespect to his grace, but the dwarf certainly seems to crawl beneath his skin. -
Those are pretty nice sir. I am also curious about what the Wolfgang thread will show. But I am still dying for some JP rep.

Vindsval picks up the small mug and sips thoughtfully at its foamy contents. He smiles appreciatively as the aroma of hops and bitters hits his nose. Truly a fine brew Master Stine. He says before a yawn cuts his words off prematurely. My apologies, but it has been a long couple of days. There has been much work to be done since we arrived here in your fine city. I do not suppose you have a room, or even a secluded corner in which I could unpack my bedroll and REST for a few hours. I fear I may not be much longer on my feet otherwise. -

A fine selection it is my friend. Vindsval pulls a small handful of gold from his purse and offers it to the Bartender. I believe I would like to wipe the dust of the streets from my throat with one of your fine MEADS if you would pour me one. The witch then waits in silent anticipation for Stine to fill his order. The music begins to insinuate itself into his mind and he begins to tap a finger nail against the bar in time with the tune. -

Vindsval ducks gingerly through the door and looks about the saloon. Well met Master Stine. I have heard much about you and this place. It certainly lives up to its reputation. I am called Vindsval. What might you have to offer a weary traveller? -
Pretzels are best served warm, with pub mustard.
-
Enemies who are immune to a class based skill in general are very agravating.
-
Thanks Flipz, pretty much what I expected to hear. Like you said, once I hit 30 I plan on swapping out my accessories and adding either the hood or something to boost my SP.

"Then I fear this may be either a very short or a very one sided conversation." Vindsval nods his head once more to the priestess and to the timid Terry. "I look forward to meeting each of you once again. But I must be on my way. Our employer has placed a rather tight timetable on our little venture. May the Wanderer guide you upon your Path." Vindsval Moves off to the Saloon and enters, hoping to have an open conversation with Master Stine. -

"Many thanks Lady. My I use your name to loosen his tongue? Some if this town are very hesitant to speak to outsiders. If I could say that you sent me, it may go a long way to helping him in his willingness to speak." -
You know, someone could make some serious money if they developed a scroll of "Undead repair." And with the fear of scything reply, what do you think of Vindsval the Poisoner and his completely Witch-0-centric build Master Flipz?

Vindsval kneels before the High Priestess and knuckles his forehead in respect. Well met High Priestess, Even a follower of the Wanderer knows of the power of your order. I am blessed by your notice of my actions. He stands slowly and as smoothly as his large frame would allow. He nods to the timid man. Well met to you as well Master Taylor I am among a group of travelers come from Heroica to find a woman believed to be hiding here among your people. She goes by the name of Amber Makepeace. It would help me upon my path if you had any knowledge of her that you would be willing to share. -
I have read the last Henry. I thought maybe he meant acceptance speeches from players and qms
-
Speeches you say? Does that mean the winners have been notified?
-
So who has made more enemis, jinniper or lind?

Then we shall leave you to your rest Dear Lady. I thank you for the scroll and I would welcome another visit with you in the future. It was a wonderful contrast to meet you here. The witch bows his head to Irisa, and then ducks it low to leave the shop. Vindsval Turns to Sorrow. Shall we talk with a few of these townsfolk? Perhaps they could tell us something of import regarding our search. The green man approaches the Caped Woman with the staff and her Pale Companion. Well met Friends, I am Vindsval Called the Half Born, slayer of the Night Assassin, would you have a moment to talk? I am new to your city and there is much I do not yet know. -

"I admit I know little of scrolls and the magics behind them. I would take the Scroll of Frailty, perhaps it will come in useful." -
Gotta admit, I have never been on a spell heavy quest. Which would be most useful? Scroll of Blindness -Scroll of Frailty -Scroll of Confusion -Scroll of Sealing -Scroll of Sleep -Scroll of Weakening
