  1. His master indeed? Well then, could you tell him, that I know where she is. If he would come to me, I could take him to her.
  2. Vindsval looks to Althior. What did the dog say Prophet?
  3. Vindsval looks down at the dog behind the small dwarf. "What has this journey lead me to?" He kneels and holds out his hand, palm up and hoping that it still holds the girl's sent. "Here Fluffy Sweetums, Fidelia misses you."
  4. well there was that one weekend in college, But Fate rarely even calls me anymore.
  5. There could be worse titles I could earn.
  6. Sorry missed the earlier post. My inner historian rearing his dusty head.
  7. While not of medieval origin, the common use of that particular slur is recorded as early as the mid to late 1500's. Just busy, worn out, and run under.
  8. Make the fall stop, just make it stop. OI!!!
  9. "A great deal of very little. We were taken for fools by the saloon keep. He had little information to give. I did find a youngling who had lost a pet. But other than that, my path has been a rocky one."
  10. Vindsval flicks the wood filings from his nails as he looks down at his two companions. It would seem you have trodden a long path my friends. OOC: sorry for the recent silence. Crazy times.
  11. Vindsval's fist clenches involuntarily, his nails carving furrows in the bar top, as the saloon keeper gives answers that answer nothing. Master Stine, you lead us to believe you had information that would direct us on our path. We completed your task in good faith, yet you lead us nowhere.
  12. Vindsval lays his hand on the bar, and attempts to contain his mounting frustration with this town and its obtuse citizens. "As we told you before, we have been tasked with finding both Ms. Makepeace and your own Countess. If you knew of either of their whereabouts the information would be much appreciated."
  13. So could the fall get any busier? Giminy Christmas.
  14. Vindsval ducks out of the Saloon, and looks about the courtyard. He draws his arm across his chest, and leans against what he hopes is a sturdy section of the wall. It would be wise to converge our party's paths. Perhaps if I WAIT HERE, Sorrow and the others may return.
  15. You have nothing to fear my dear Stine, Sorrow will fulfill his end of our bargain. I tell you both true, I weary of traipsing about this city from one end to another. I had not known it could be so troublesome to find a wayward daughter. Vindsval Sighs But it is a path I must walk. Perhaps there is someone outside who may aid me. I will be certain to return to hear of what you know, and perhaps to enlist your aid my lady. Vindsval knods to both of his companions in turn and leaves the saloon, surveying the once busting courtyard.
  16. Vindsval reaches into his pouch, removes the purse he obtained from the Priest, and places it lightly on the bar. Here is what the Priest owes you. I would have been back sooner, but I now walk a path in search of a lost friend. That of a small child I met outside the Temple. He turns to the town's nearest undead. The path I have walked through your town has been full of waypoints. If sorrow has not yet returned I can imagine only that he has stopped at one such crossroads.
  17. The giant looks around. He closes his eyes and listens to the beautiful silence of a city at peace. It would seem, that those with sense have retired for the evening. Sorrow will return to Stine with his recovered coin. I should do the same. He tugs his caps slightly more tightly around his large frame and heads off to the Saloon in The East Gate. The whole time keeping an eye open for something that could be called "fluffy."
  18. Ooc: So if I am reading things correctly, Vindsval is one time period Ahead of sorrow and one time period Behind the others?
  19. You volunteering lind?
  20. Very well Fedelia, you stay here and when I find your friend I shall return him here to you. Do not fret small one, it shall be done. With that Vindsval pat's the small undead on the head lightly and moves off the the RESIDENTIAL district in search of the mysterious third party and his companions.
  21. Vindsval accepts the purse with a nod of his head. My thanks father, you may have helped me a great deal. May the Wanderer guide your path. The Giant knuckles his forehead in respect and returns to the fountain. he extends his hand to Fedelia. Shall we go look for your friend now my dear small one? Perhaps he attempted to find his way home. Would you walk with me to the RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT?
  22. Just give everything to vindsval THEN go make people angry.
  23. Vindsval bows to the Skeletal priest. "I meant no offense wise one. The tale of my errand is a rather long one. But to summarize, I am in your city to rescue an errant daughter who may be up to no good, as well as to locate a missing leader, and reunite a small girl with her lost friend. To do this my companions and I have been given numerous tasks by the citizens of your city. I have vanquished vermin, eliminated an assassin, dispatched foul spirits, and yet another errand has brought me to you. In order to obtain the information we seek, my companion Sorrow and I were sent to collect the moneys owed to the owner of the saloon. A man by the name of Stine. He tells us that you were among those who owe him coin. So if you would please, in the sake of time, give me what you owe the man so I may be on my way, I would leave you with my thanks and my blessing."
  24. Vindsval nods his head to the man barring his way into the temple. I am here on an urgent errand. I must speak with Monk Carlos imediately.
  25. Vindsval smiles down at the girl, glad to see her spirits lifting If you wait for me here while I speak to the Monk inside we will find your friend together. He stands and looks down at the "child." Or would you rather come with me now to talk to Monk Carlos?
