Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Asphalt replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: does scroll of frailty cause the fragile effect? By all means lady. Vindsval gently hands the Seer her crystal ball. May now the Spirit of Hope guide the paths of those who seek your council. -
Will there be a way to join an alliance for those with no reputation? Or are we just observers for this one?

Vindsval catches the volatile jar and stores it away. That could certainly cause one's path to veer. Thank you my friend. He gently pats out a few errant flames with his heavily calloused hand, hoping Irisa wouldn't notice. Madam Irisa, do you have any idea how a spirit of flam could have come to be trapped in your Augury? OOC: Please update Vindsval's stats to reflect his level up. -
Well Legos and Gentlemen, let's get posting in the event. Those of us with no rep want some reading.

Vindsval re-sheathes Verkenner and reaches up to smear the soot from his face. Checking in the process to see if he still has eyebrows. Bloody fiery vermin. All that fighting just to have the two wisps blow themselves out in our faces. At least I was able to smash that globe of a spirit. The sooty giant turns towards the owner of the shop. It would appear my dear lady, that your premises is now free of malignant spirits. -
I was wondering if that was a typo.

Quest 141 Ancient Bones, I see what you did there.

Vindsval rolls his shoulder and winces slightly. He reaches up under the edge of his cape and rubs the stump of his arm and the steel disk covering it. How do you Southanders say you enjoy the heat. It makes my bones ache. Let us end this before I and cooked through. He places the Bifrost Blades back in their sheath on his him and draws Vernkenner from its scabbard on his other hip. Hitting them with a stick has worked for you, allow me to try. Vindsval spins Verkenner in his palm and then attacks, sending it flying at the remaining wisp from the back row. OOC: I am good with auto rolling -
If you're covering flight costs, I'm in.

The witch stands back, eyes wide, as the wisp rises from the ground and hovers at Sorrow's side. Never before has he seen the power of the Necromancer at work. Truly the wicked shall rise up against those who wielded them. Perhaps if I step from the fray, the Spirit will have a chance to right the wrongs that is committed against this realm. Vindsval steps back and Casts Healing on Himself from the back row. -

Let the oppressed turn upon their masters, and redeem themselves for the harm they have done in their name. Ignore the wisp Sorrow, he will work for us this moment, concentrate on the Spirit. But even if we do him no harm, my blades continue their work. Vindsval Repeats his attack, hoping to end this quickly. The heat in this place is abysmal. -
I dont see a problem in asking him to post the retreival in order to help build plot device. If you want to as the qm i say it is within your pervue to request it. It does not effect the game mechanics does it?

OOC: with dual strike Vindsval would have delivered 42 poison this round for a total of poison 63. so wouldn't the damage count for the spirit be R1 -21, R2 -21, R3 -157 -63, for a total damage so far of 262? 450-262=188. You say you are the conductor of death, yet you call yourself the spirit of Misery. Death may bring misery for a time to those left behind, but far more often it offers a relief to the suffering of those it conducts to their next path. Reflect upon your own desires spirit. Choose wisely what you will do when you are released from this plane. Vindsval slashes out twice with his Bifrost Blades, Repeating his twin attack against the spirit. -

Vindsval brushes the ashes and scorch marks from his clothing. Not for the first time wishing his daggers were of the throwing variety. "You believe the ball is holding the creature back? " Vindsval REPEATS his attack, directing both strikes at the Spirit. "Or would it be that the ball is the vessel chaining it to this reality. Without that anchor would it not return to its own realm?" -
Little bit.

I will feed your a bitter repast foul spirit. Vindsval REPEATS his attack, swiping at the Spirit Twice from the Back Row. Sorrow, you are far more heavily armored than I, perhaps you should lead. -
Potato, bouncing betty landmine

Bring him on In the most loving way possible.

Vindsval grins a ferral grin that touches the red of his eyes. The Direct Approach is sometimes best. -
Vindsval needs to get an in with the JP so if there is an option for the un-reped that is where his lot will be cast.
