  1. The Half-giant moves to the quest board. It seems today is the day. I do hope that the employers decision runs in our favor Miderun.
  2. Vindsval walks through the marketplace, literally hat in hand, and enters the Blacksmith Shop. You Again. I was a wonderin why my wares were rattlin themselves loose from the shelves. You need to learn to walk a bit more softly among the southern folk. Vindsval smiles slightly. Indeed I do, Well met Forgemaster. I had not expected to see you again so soon, but I have gained new property which needs your attention. Always and forever the way among you lot. I cant complain, it keeps me in business. What is it you need this time? The dwarf asks and nearly falls over trying to look Vindsval in the eye. And for the love of fire sit down or something, It's like talkin to a steeple. He kneels down and hands Anwyl his new Tricorn Hat and his Broomstick. If you would, please remove the Amethyst from the Hat and Merge it with my Broomstick. The smith takes the two items with an obvious look of relief on his smoked face. Thank the stars, I was worried you would be asking me to replace that great slab of an arm you seem to be missin. Not at this time Master Anwyl, not at this time. Though in the future I cannot guarantee I will not call on your services for that. The smith goes into his forge and works his skill on the two items. He comes back out and hands them to Vindsval who hands him 100 gold in return. (160- 50 -50 =60) Now that your stick is a bit more formidable and unique will you be giving it a name as these other Heerroooo folk seem to want to do? Vindsval thinks a moment looking at the weapon in his hand. He closes his eyes and mutters over it for a moment, asking his god to bless his new weapon and guide his mind. Indeed I will. I shall call it Verkenner. I thank you sir, and I hope to see you again in the future to obtain more of your fine work. So long as you have the gold my boy, I will be here. With that, Vindsval places the hat in his bag, Verkenner in his belt, and returns to the Hall.
  3. ok first, Haldor is ridiculous. Just the first few threads I found with him were epic. Second, I want him to be a fairly rounded character able to pick up a party, but to also deal some punishment in defense of the weak. I want to keep that noble streak in him as long as situation allows. After my first quest I was leaning towards paladin, but the second had me looking in a different direction. I want where I go with him to make sense as part of his story. I have read a few class changes that didn't make any sense to me and i don't want to get that feeling. So we will have to see what happens in the next adventure.
  4. I am glad you are enjoying reading him. I have been thinking more about witch than Shaman. After being poisoned three or so times and losing an arm to it, It is something I want to explore a bit. If I ever have the cash the Talisman is definitely something I would grab. I need to look more at the Shaman. Are there any current characters playing that class?
  5. His future path is still up in the air. After the trouble with the Pestilence I think I might have him examining the power of poisons for a bit. Can't go paladin with only one arm.
  6. Many Thanks Sir, Dyric wasn't it? I will see these put to good use.
  7. Thank you sir, Never know when they might come in handy.
  8. I think he is asking because he posted it in a color normally reserved for OOC comments?
  9. Vindsval looks at his remaining good arm, clenches his fist, flexes it experimentally. I believe you are mistaken master Holla, for the sake of this city I hope you are mistaken. I lost the other to a mad doctor who created a vile living disease. He removed it to "save the city." It would be very ironic indeed if it were to escape into the streets after all. Vindsval Chuckles, a sound like gravel in a barrel. Perhaps, but one never knows. It pays to stay prepared. He holds out another 20 gold. Perhaps I would take your Nordic Stomach Guard as well.
  10. Vindsval walks up to the man Dyric. He holds out a handful of gold. I would take the Tricorn Hat if it is sill available?
  11. Well met Master Holla. The Wanderer is the deity to whom I pledge my allegiance, my faith, and my very soul. It is an aspect of the almighty power who rules with fist and blade among the gods of my mother's people far to the north. It is he who walks all paths, to whom all endings are know, through whom the only path to victory may be claimed. He may lead a man to death, he may lead a man to glory, but the journey, THE PATH, is the goal of his chosen. He goes by many names, some whispered only in darkness, some rejoiced by all. I do not claim to know them all, but I believe he is called Wartan in these southern realms.
  12. Indeed, it would appear so. Many of the Halls Heros have been bemoaning the evil of these fleeced terrors. I do not know that we have met. My name is Vindsval, Called the Half-born. May the Wanderer guide your path. Vindsval extends his remaining hand to the smaller man.
  13. There seems to be a great deal of import put on the elimination sheep in recent days.
  14. There has been a great deal of talk about getting additional QM's for quests. I for one would love to eventually run a few, but as of yet I am still far too new to teh game mechanics. Especially when it comes to power PCs. There are some item combos in here that are rather perplexing. The other thing holding me back is sets. I really don't see me being able to get enough done to make a game Visually enticing, So 1. Would there be any experieinced QMs who would be willing to cohost quests with newer players so we can see how things run behind the curtain? 2. How much is expected of sets and scenery?
  15. Or an alligator will eat your laptop.
  16. Inanimate form, motionless form, still body, unresponsive, just for a couple more
  17. I just picture a male witch when I hear the word Warlock. That and Julian Sands
  18. Gladiator seems a bit overpowered to me.
  19. It is strange that you mention the Ji Pei. I spoke with Byblos, the Librarian, about what he knew of Automata, That is animated machine men. I believe that is where my best hope lies in finding a replacement for what I had lost. He told me of men who I can only call technomancers. They are followers of a man called Legonardo and have close ties to the Ji Pei. They are expert craftsmen and have found a way to bind either to machines to give them life. I will need to seek out the Ji Pei in order to obtain an audience with Legonardo. It gives me hope to one day be whole again, and to bear a shield in defense of those in need. But I am afraid it is a long way off. Vindsvals voice sink in tone and trails off at the last, becomeing a mere rumble in his massive chest. But your concern does touch me lady knight. One such as I is indeed a stranger to kindness for one such as you. Miderun and I are waiting to hear word of a quest to Tridentia. It was on that island that we first quested, and we would relish a chance to return and see what our choices had wrought. If the wanderer wills I would deem it an honor if you would choose to sign your name next to ours. If it is to be so, perhaps our paths may yet mingle. If we are passed over for the position in Tridentia, I would also be willing to attempt the fields with you. Though I hear tell they are not for the week of will or arm.
  20. I have heard of these fields. I had thought they were full of dangerous beasts and creatures most foul. Are you saying that the beasts most foul were sheep?
  21. Vindsval nods to the Knight and gives her a small smile. I thank you for your concern. I am less than I once was, but I believe I will be fine. The wounds aches slightly, but it will heal in time. And you my dear lady Knight, how did you fair in your first adventure from the city?
  22. A dragon? Perhaps a great sea beast has flooded the region. Vindsval looks at the small scampering man. What was that all about?
  23. That is one extensive family.
  24. Vindsval rubs his head. You are right my friend. Perhaps I have not recovered as fully from my wounds as I had thought. I wonder though. . . He was a necromancer of some strength.
