  1. As titled, an authentic DeadPool from set #6866, complete with double-katanas in the proper back-sheath, and with his pistol, bought by me personally when released, for - both the Alfred and Penguin (w/ umbrella) from #70909... PM me if interested, I can send it out right away
  2. Have an Iron Fist from (6873), and Tie Bomber Pilot from (75008), both in NEW condition. Needing the two different Soldiers of the Dead, not the King, from (79008), with their appropriate capes and in likewise condition. LMK ~ Edward.
  3. +1 to WhiteFang. Thank you, my kind sir.
  4. Very profound words. I think the facade is very worthy of keeping, and I especially like the accent you gave to the arch. I think where it begins to go wrong is at the jumper and tooth trim at the top. That area does not seem to be in the rhythm with the rest of the build. And, I suspect, that's about where the build started to lose its self, and its interest for you. My own builds are often in stages of assessment. I stare at them, and eventually, identify the things that are bothering me, and then go back and deconstruct in order to try again. I think that this is part of the natural process of building - it just cannot be perfect first go around; not all the time. And to think it should be is a malady of modern culture - but I digress there, that's getting too philosophical again. Simply put: Doesn't mean you should scrap it. Just means its time to take another step backward. And, really, that would be my own advice to myself. I just happened to say it out loud. Revisit the top trim. Perhaps, bulk it out a little, and detail it more - and let it slope out a stud or two wider at the sides, adding that extra width to the left front in the form of another layer of brick jutting out from the current edge, and then the extra window/ door to the right front. Something like that... The meat and potatoes of it is there. Just dessert it up a little.
  5. Lovely. Bookmarked your blog...
  6. You should build tiny LEGO fish, colorful of course, insert them randomly, and then fill the rest of the mould with a clear epoxy...
  7. The Gods seem to have favored some people in the transition, and they weren't too affected by it. Life goes on, uninterrupted. But for many, many others, it was as if someone came into their home and turned everything upside down - they are legitimate people with legitimate concerns, whose livelihood and sanity depends upon the BrickLink market, and they have a right to feel frustrated, angry, and resentful of the disarray they are experiencing, and of which they had no voice whatsoever. But the saddest thing here - is to see the BrickLink Community, and thus a large, large percentage of the LEGO AFOL community, at odds. There are some very mean, ignorant, and unsympathetic things being said in those forums between these two populations... Its dark, dark days for the LEGO community. Everything is far from awesome right now.
  8. Yea, I can't use it either... And I'm in the middle of an inspiring build and also starting a new minifig collection after I swore I was done with minifigs, and the GF is going on a trip this weekend, so my plans were to bury myself in BrickLink looking for parts, some HTF figs, seeing if the inventories for the new City sets had hit yet, and in placing some of those orders I've procrastinated on placing for a few weeks. Looks real doubtful, now. Just when a man is trying to stay out of trouble...
  9. How about http://www.brickengraver.com/? My only concern would be - printing an excess (at least 250, you say...) of very individual or one-off pieces/ parts seems like it could quickly become expensive. Have you thought about making your own decals to then attach to a tile? I understand if your OCD might forbid you from doing so, but way cheaper, and at least, in the end, the parts are still salvageable should you part with any of your figs....
  10. From #9489 and #10236, Dotted Mouth Pattern - sw366: Looking for a 1) Batman #76035 or #76046, just for his Dark Bluish Gray Legs w/ Boots, or for a 2) Cuusoo Pete, for the Green Classic Space Suit, or for a 3) Queasy Man from #10244 just for his fantastic face... Ok, got to go watch Fantasy Island, now. PM me if your interested.
  11. If so, I have... - a Batman, Black Suit, with the Gold Printing from 2006's 7781/7783/7785. Mint, w/ batarang. - or a Tie Bomber Pilot, from #75008 ... wth, I'll throw in both if you want 'em. LMK.
  12. I also have an Iron Fist, like new, taken directly from #6873 when that was released in 2012. Same asking...
  13. I have a Deadpool taken MINT from Set# 6866 in 2012, with sheath and both swords, and its been stored away since. I'm not particularly fond of it, as I'm "thinning the small herd", so to speak, and most of these casualties are superhero figs, not enough to want to keep in my displayed or stored collection anyway - And, I've been eyeing the Dark Pink joker from #76502... If you'd like to swap, LMK. I have great Bay and BL feedback, and wouldn't mind sending it out right away. Peace.
  14. Thank you. I had considered that as a potential problem.
  15. How did it depreciate so quickly? Last year, I recall it regularly hitting the $60US mark, and a recent look showed it around the $25US average. I keep regular checks on the Lego news, visit the usual websites, and consider myself an informed collector, although I have spent more and more time building versus collecting as of late; but unlike recent re-releases of some CMF's that knocked their value downward, I haven't heard anything of something similar that would've/ should've affected The Zombie... And - its not really a concern over the value of the fig, before I get any moralists after me, its more a concern over 1. Should I buy a second now that the asking is lowered?; and, 2. Is there something out there available now, in Zombie 101 land, that I'm not aware of, or perhaps, missed. I mean, cool, little, unannounced releases ARE sneaking up here and there, lately... Just curious.
  16. No. Don't open them. And here's my reasoning: I, personally, would not have purchased sealed sets (if) my intention was not to leave them sealed. They may not be rare sets, now - however - as sealed versions of those sets, I would gather, without looking up each, as sealed versions of those sets they are now making up but a fraction of the listings for said sets being sold. Already, they are rarer. They are nearing historicity... Someone out there, either now or in the future, may be wanting to acquire sealed versions of these sets. As a collector, regardless of the nature of the item, I think my own duty would be to preserve these as is - if not for myself, then for someone else. And, opening them seems either irresponsible - because most Fabuland pieces, or entire sets, can be readily found in great condition - or it seems somewhat sadistic, like purposely destroying what someone else may take delight in for the simple but ephemeral power trip that such an act may bring. Unless, your opening a Fabuland museum, and your intent is to display these sets, then I would say open 'em... But really, if anything, curate them now for the person who will. You don't have to dissect them; for you already know what they contain. My two pennies, anyway.
  17. ... because I don't have the parts handy: When you place the bar end of a #58176 down through the clip of a #15712 - is there any, if at all, of the bar left protruding from out the other side of the clip? Say, enough to plug on the hole-end of a #3062b...?
  18. It actually resembles a proper "theater" now - not a cinema, but a small concert hall. I think you should ditch the movies idea altogether, and give it a performance stage. Usually, these XXXXL modulars do nothing for me, but this one feels like it belongs. Think the Apollo, the Troubador, the Filmore, etc..., you know, the intimate downtown places where you'd hear or see a live act one step dpwn from an arena. With a line of people leading from around the corner to the ticket stand, and a band loading equipment in... Some busy sidewalks and it'll start to come alive.
  19. I like the dark green. That would've been my suggestion also. However, if I were to do it cheaply - and in a way that would still show off its architecture without appearing odd - I'd try it in all white. Whether or not, using white, you'd choose to change the window color or some of the other trim color, is up to you; but I think white would be an interesting option. Look up some images of white modular MOC's, I know there are some classy one's out there. FInd those you really like, and then try to replicate the color palette... And if you want to be bold, I'd also take the window design and carry it around to the sides, making it a stand-alone building. I've done that with a few mods, and this would be a great candidate.
  20. There are just some things that mankind is not supposed to ever know. Don't pick this apple, Adam...
  21. Excuse me if my answer exists in plain sight somewhere else, I tried looking - but, can you explain to me the reasoning behind not being able to include the feature figure in any photos of the entry/ presentation rule? I mean, this completely removes the context from the photos, and leaves one trying to only imagine what it all should appear like. If this is some requirement that assists in the judging process, then so be it, but as general viewer of the entries, and not an entrant, I'm only left frustrated by what are in all aspects, incomplete builds... - ?
  22. Well then, how about leaving it as is, but building a layer of wall behind it - so your walls, or at least the portion of it that includes the window feature anyway, is two bricks deep... I would think about going darker with your walls, also. So the window trim stands out. Or, changing the tone of your windows, if you wish to leave the walls tan. It needs some kind of contrast between window and wall... I know you may be concerned about losing that tan grout effect, but really, per the photo, the walls are actually darker and the tan grout much smaller, and more 'veiny', so to speak. Tan and/ or LBG round 1x1's might be a better option, when set into a dark tan and brown accented wall, to replicate grout. I'm not sure. Just some ideas. I find the fun in building is to encounter situations like this, that just seem still 'off' somehow - it forces me stare and to contemplate, and then finally, to plan another course of action. Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it takes several attempts - but I rarely scrap anything; just keep working it until it starts to finally please you. And then, you can move on. Once you get this window and wall down, the rest of the build will flow.
  23. Why not make the orange/red/brown brick arch an outside feature? - Meaning, use a 1x2 plate on each side where your arch begins, instead of a 1x1 - then build the wall flush in tan, using a tan arch to make it all snug. And with the exposed stud end of the 1x2 plate at each bottom, build your brick feature as you have here. So, instead of it running within the 1x1 area that makes the wall, its set outside of it. If you wanted, you could also use some 1x2 inverted slopes at the bottoms to give it a gradual angled outwardness. Comprende? I hope that makes sense. I'll try to find a reference photo to attach.
