Yep that is what I used. I actually had to trim the tip of the rifle to get the look from the video game. otherwise the technic friction pin will sit too far forward.

That looks amazing. How did you get the black tiles to stay sideways like that?

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Can anyone help me with Destroy Malevolence level? Im missing one Minikit. It is in the room with the three Astromech stations. You have to release the pink torpedo bays and force the torpedoes to the pink targets. Then you fight Grievous. the minikit detector points to the center but i cant figure out how to release it. It is not the silver stalactites nor the red washing machines that release the minikit. -
exactly, It is nice to have Senator Palpatine but I think it makes more sense, given the context of the show, that it should have Admiral Yularen and some jedi. I think a hanger that has mini vehicles flying in and out would have been better.

I have the midis and I love them. There are no news of one for 2011 are there?

The light bley plate and brick is sort of drawing my eye away from the kashyyk flying vehicle. Otherwise I like it. I like the twisting trunks of the trees. Here is my Aurra Sing with the rifle she uses in Lego SWIII: CW

You are right. If the ISD did not exist, the Venator would be decent. I would have liked the top hull to split open like sliding doors, just as it does in the CW show and the Lego video game. But the fact that it opens like a car bonnet/hood kind of ruins it for me. I will need to look into making it open like I want. One feature that I do like, is the carrying handle for the Venator. I wish the ISD had something like that.

I made myself a classic lego Vader. Not sure what to use for the helmet though. As a kid, I used to think the Blacktron chests looked like Vader.

So I found an unopened 8039 Venator on craigslist for $75, not bad. I built it and found the set a little dissapointing. I would like a little more accuracy in this model. I find the bomb dropping feature and the silly gun platform not to my liking. I think the problem is that Im comparing it to my 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer Set. I find the little scenes to be very fun. You have the escape pod hanger, Conference hologram with the emperor, Vader's helmet service station, and the bridge of the ISD. The Venator only has Senator Palpatine's office. Also the complement of figures is less than that of the ISD. I would have liked some officers like an Admiral Yularen. Another major let down is that the Venator is only 200 pcs less than that of the ISD but the size comparison is astouding. I did a little number crunching and if you use the ISD as the benchmark, the Venator should be 20% smaller to be in scale. However I would have liked the Venator to be physically the same size as the ISD playset. Here you can see the size difference. It really makes the Venator pitiful next to the ISD.

Thanks. Yeah when I was trying to build the Batmobile in in LDD, I noticed the wedge plates had notches and yours dont. Thanks Also the wheels are from megablocks rally cars right?
-
Doesnt the deathstar playset sort of count as UCS?
-
Hey Pellaeon, Im trying to reverse engineer your Batmobile, right in front of the rear wheels there seems to be a 2x1 cheese wedge turned sideways. How did you affix that on so that it is flush with the wedge plates that sandwich it?
-
interesting, mind taking build steps of tour animated series batmobile?
-
pellaeon, do you mind parting with TDK torso? I need it for my version of your tumbler.
-
Where is that face/fig from? the one in the blue with the white printed goggles?
-
I will give you $12 shipped for the TDK torso. I am in the US.
-
I'll take the Dark Knight torso for $8!!
-
Here is another shot of the Tumbler.
-
Holy crap that looks amazing!!! It really looks like dark helmet!!

I dont know. I think it really depends on how many SW Lego fans there are that frequent your local Lego Store. I have a feeling there are not that many where I live. But to be sure, I plan to be late for work and just go there first thing in the morning.

I didnt want to start a new thread. But I finally ordered the bricks and built my own version of Pellaeon's Tumbler. The tumbler parts was my first batch BL order so I was missing a few pieces. I scrounged some tiefighters and batches of loose pieces I have in a bin to add a little detail and try to finish the Tumbler. I also got too many of the black axle wheels, not realizing I needed a pin hole type black wheel so I used a gray set for the front as a temporary fix until I get the black wheels. I added two batarang holders inside the cockpit.

If you have the printed legs and arms boba, i'll trade for it.
