  1. Very nice. Im glad it has a different departure from most speeder bikes. I like the seat back 2x2 tile and the side engines look great. edit: After closer look, I really like the clever use of the 2x2 hinged plate for the controls and as a secure mount for Dutch Kennedy's feet!!! Very nice.
  2. This looks awesome!!!
  3. Are you guys talking about S&H time? Im just going to go to my local Lego store first thing on Tuesday. Depending on if a sale goes thru, I may get the Dropship. If my sale doesnt, then I'll just get an Arc-fighter and a magnet set and perhaps some keychains. There is a keychain offer 3 for 2 I believe.
  4. The Japanese lady vig is great!!!!
  5. Do you still have the boba fett stand and card? Would you trade them for a S4 musketeer? Opened but complete.
  6. Yeah what brickdoctor said. The problem with these type of shots is really all in your camera settings. I am using a Nikon D40X, a DSLR. So I have manual control over everything. If you have a Point and shoot, you can possibly shoot these types of pics. Smokebelch manages very well with his Fuji. Here are some tips: set your ISO (film speed) to a low number, 100ASA is great or 200. This will help reduce graininess. However this will cause some problems if you dont adjust for it. With a low ISO speed, the camera may compensate for the low lighting and ISO with a long exposure. However since most cameras use an automatic setup and it will make the judgement how long that exposure will be. Most times it isnt long enough. So set Exposure time. Some cameras can change this manually but many cannot. If you can you need to increase the exposure time to compensate for the low ISO speed. Use a tripod for long exposure shots. Use the self-timer for long exposure shots. this way you wont move the camera from pushing the button. When you push the button, the camera will move. but with the timer, any movement from the camera will have subsided before it opens the shutter.
  7. Nice, I like it. What is the torso from?
  8. Nice, but you need some to be coming out of broken windows and walls then it will feel like Black Ops: Zombies
  9. I like this. I recently got that same Endor Luke and gave him an Elf cape and fleshie face haha.
  10. Ki-adi-mundi, The ground is a lego plate. There is no background. The pieces are placed inside a clear acrylic box and filled with water. I used a shallow depth of field on Luke with tauntaun. I then sprinkled baking soda into the water as I took a long exposure. I lit it with my iphone over the water. darth yogi, believe it or not there is no background. I have only photoshopped one background and that was my snow AT-AT shot. I shot this at night with all the lights off in my apartment. I used my iphone to light the figures. Simple as that. If you look at the bottom of the Boba Fett image, you can see a hint of gray at the bottom. That is my table. It is a frosted glass dining table. Since the only thing lit are the figures, everything behind them are black.
  11. Yeah the plates used for the rear engines are a bit finicky and the tower bridge comes off easily for me. But other than that, I really do like the midi scale sets. I cant wait to see what they are coming out with.
  12. Here a pic I shot a while back when I got my Arealight Bobafett helmet.
  13. Bayonet, nice close ups. but why are they so grainy? the photoshop filter on the scout trooper seems a bit too much. What does the original look like? Anyway here are some pics I was trying out. They didnt turn out as well as I had hoped but hope you enjoy.
  14. I like it as a MOC but I have to disagree with some of the guys here. the look and "feel" of the exo suit draws my attention away and it does not feel like it belongs in the SW universe. Im not speaking that exo suits dont belong, i built my Boba Fett armor and that is a stretch. But the "alien" look of this exo suit just doesnt seem to like it would exist in the SW universe. But that aside it is a fantastic exo suit. I was kinda thinking if you stream lined it a bit and added white, it could be an exo suit for Grievous but then it would not qualify for the contest. Anyway best of luck in the contest and its good to see more mechs haha.
  15. Very nice looking. too bad mini figs dont fit on it.
  16. Very nicely done. I like how well the figures can sit in the taxi.
  17. Haha very funny!!!
  18. Well according to Iroh he developed the technique from studying water benders. I had no idea that Hamill was Ozai. Crazy!! Great picture with Zuko and Luke.
  19. Simple. but I have a hard time seeing Yoda in a tank. I too would change the cannon to something other than a flag pole.
  20. Wow TLG did a great job on the shit scared kid!!! talk about SNOT hahaha Seriously though, why is Kenobi's light saber purple? One of the AAT main cannon seems it needs a little "stay up" power.
  21. To add insult to injury, I ordered 50 pcs of the older flame pcs with base pins. It clearly showed the BL picture of the right piece. I get the pieces and they are the new type. I emailed the seller and no response until I send him a message via BL. He says that is all he has in terms of pieces. What to do? Should I really bother shipping the parts back? Should I ask for a refund for $.95? Doesnt seem worth it. It is just annoying that I thought I was getting the pieces I wanted but nope.
  22. I just want a Classic spaceman logo shirt.
  23. My brother was a huge fan of Dr. Who. I shall have to get this. I don't like the figures but the tardis looks great. Here is my late brother when we went to London for xmas in 2001. He was stationed at SHAPE in Mons, Belgium. This is a real police box. Dont think it is still there though according to my friends in London.
  24. What are the pedals clipped to? Is it a piece of pneumatic tubing cut down?
  25. I actually like it. All of it. Although im a little miffed that they are including R2-Q5 as I got mine with my Deathstar.
