Hmm dont know what to tell you guys. I am always leery about online deals. I prefer to go to a physical store. Although off topic, a couple years back there was an exclusive toy that was only available via a Japanese toy website. It went on sale and thanks to my Verizon Fios connection I was able to penetrate thru the internet and place an order. I heard rumors from my friends who knew people in Japan that could not even get thru the website to place an order. It took me over an hour of constantly re-freshing the site. I was in Pittsburgh, PA and I got thru. The $200 toy immediately fetched over $800-$1000 on ebay. I kept mine as my friend's wife went back to Japan for her sister's wedding it was perfect timing since I could only ship the item to an address in Japan. She hand carried it back from Japan for me. Anyway, I say place the order and then call in the morning to confirm with Lego S@H.

I am a little confused with the Minifig comparison. The back printed Luke came with your set or is it from a different set? What is the new Red 6 helmet? When you are comparing the old to the new are you comparing older 6212 set vs a current production version? I love this set. When I started getting more serious about collecting SW Legos, I wanted an X-wing and thankfully this set is still in production so I cont have to pay ridiculous prices for it. I lucked out on getting the old ATAT and 4504 Falcon at cheap prices but not everyone can get good deals. The new ATAT is nice but not as big as the old ATAT. I plan to get the new Falcon when it comes out and compare the two. But Im not hoping for a dramatic upgrade. If the Wampa Snow Speeder and new AT-AT are any indication of TLGs approach to updating an iconic vehicle, I suspect a few minor tweaks to the new falcon and will look to MOCs and MODs to make the falcon as good as it can be, just like how AFOLs have upgraded their 4504s.

If it says you can then I dont see why not. Did you buy only non SW items or did you buy one SW item and then a bunch of non SW items. I would be cautious. Dont be too surprised that when you stuff comes you dont have a Black ARF trooper.

Yes that is it exactly. When Lucasarts designs any thing SW related, there has to be a commonality so that the items and vehicles feel like they belong in that universe. If you watch the special features of the Clone Wars Mandalore episode, the director goes to great detail of how they designed Mandalore after specific cues from Boba Fett, since he is the true basis for the Mandalorian myths. The diamond like shape on his chest and the sweeping cheeks of his helmet are used quite often in the design of the Mandalore city and even some of the vehicles. Look at the Jedi Interceptor from EpIII. It has a very distinct Tie Interceptor feel to it. The AT-TE and AT-OT are all based off the AT-AT and even the AT-RT and AT-AP get their designs from the AT-ST. Arc fighter gets its roots from the X-wing. This mecha doesnt share similarities with the SW universe so while in the mind's eye of the creator, that this is his SW mecha, it just doenst have the SW feel to really sell it to me that it belongs in that Universe. Again I dont mean to slight the creation. The build is clever and very well executed. I see some very uncommon building techniques that I could not come up with. And Im not a very experienced MOCer. Well I expect it to do better than the Chrome Stormtrooper. I have a feeling that it may be on par with the prices for White Boba Fett however given the fact that the Black ARF trooper is more widely available world wide, than White Boba Fett, it may hold value lower.

Not as low as I would like but beggars cant be choosers. I think I will splurge on that.

Simply phenomenal Christopher. I love it. I have always wanted a Midi Venator. Thank you for sharing. This is a rather ambitious project. I can see how a Midi ISD scale fleet will be daunting. Piece choice will be even harder. Keep up the amazing work. I love seeing your work.

When I got my Surfer during release of wave 2 I put the hair on Luke right away. However, I dont think it works well with Jedi Luke. Jedi Luke in ROTJ is older and more mature. Also his hair is more manicured. I think the old Jedi Luke hair fits him very well. The Surfer hair looks good on young luke like Tatooine or X-wing luke. Even Stormtrooper Luke can use surfer hair. At first I didnt understand the bone, but now I do!!! Rancor toothpick haha.

Ok this is getting annoying. I noticed KDMs upside down avatar first. Then today I noticed his upside down screen name. But NOW the sig is upside down.

Very true. It does fit the custom figure very well. I just have a hard time seeing this in the SW universe. But that is just me. Not a slight at all to the creation. It is very well done.

Wow very nice. The greebling is impressive albeit a little over bearing IMHO but as a whole the MOC is fantastic.
