I just got the dwarf from Minifig Series 5 and standing next to my Series 3 elf, they make a pretty convincing Legolas and Gimli.

Lego stores has the Mace Windu set as well.

My Fiancee went to Target yesterday and found Ultimate Francesco and Lightning McQueen on clearance. 50% off. She picked up Francesco as we already have Guido who comes with Lightning. (she likes the cute little pit crew guys)

Millenium Falcon is $149.99 when I scanned it (however the shelf said $139.99 So they honored that price. The Hoth Set is 94.99. There is a BOGO 50% off for SW Lego sets at TRU. Ends Saturday 23. So I paid $140 + $47.5 for the two sets. Total with tax came to $203. Since I am driving early tmw morning, Im worried I wont find these where I will be going. However I will return them, then buy them back with the 20% off coupon. That will make the sets $112 + $47.5 which comes to about $172 with tax. So I will save $30!!!

fantastic mini. I love it. I had some difficulty recreating this in LDD 4.0. The single hole 1x1 technic block does not like to peg onto the headlight peg, the one in the back. But it was a fun build. As many others have said, fantastic use of the headlight brick.

Captain CRO, if you have a cellphone camera or cheapie digital camera, you can take a close up picture. just use a magnifying glass inbetween the figure and the lens of the camera. works wonders.

After seeing the movie my fiancee and I agree, the ultimate build Francesco should have been Fin McMissile. However Im sure the idea was conceived but perhaps the compromise was made in that McQueen needed someone to race?

Awesome. I cant wait to see it as well as my fiancee. She cant wait. TRU has a deal this week (at least my TRU does) Spend $25 on ANY Cars 2 toys and get a $10 voucher movie ticket to see Cars 2. We bought the $6.99 McQueen and Fin McMissile set. I just got a TRU Rewards coupon for 20% off and a $5 rewards coupon. Im gonna get the Lego Mack Truck today and get another movie ticket voucher.

I dont know if that is accurate about the minifigs making the set $100 more. However I agree with you it is over priced. I was telling a friend, on Facebook, about this set. This set boasts 3,152 pieces. Death Star playset is 3,803 pieces, $100 cheaper, and has 24 minifigures and droids. Where this only has 5. I know it is comparing oranges to apples. But it is Lego elements and minifigures. Two of the main criteria for many Lego fans. This set should have been at most $400.

Opposite for me. I have been wanting a Dengar. And I really like the new one and the IG-88 figure. Plus the hologram emperor is pretty cool.

That looks phenomenal. The price is high. But I think I will save up for it. The only problem i forsee is "where the heck will I put it?" It is so long!!!!!

Yeah but isnt that the same Obi-Wan from the Landspeeder set or 10188 Death Star? Im really not liking Luke's sour face and fugly hairdo. Surfer hair Luke is by far my favorite. Also I already used POP princess face on my Leia. the hair doesnt seem to be an improvement. I would have preferred the blast helmet to have a physical shield. rather than printed face.

Very nice review. Are those console pieces really in the set? Or are those mods? anyway I have a 4504 but I really like this one. The mandibles are much longer compared to the 4504.

My friend used LDD 4.0 a couple months ago and ordered his model via Lego's online system direct thru LDD. Yet it hasnt shown up yet. Does it normally take this long? He is in the USA so it is not a question of remote country with little to no TLG support.
