  1. I like this ship. Great use of those technic panels. The detail on the bottom of the ship looks great too. I get a tie advanced droid feel mixed with a cylon raider.
  2. Brickdoctor nice attempt but the lighting doesn't seem quite like smokebelch. When you shot this was the iPod the only light source? Because it looks like there might have been a room light or lamp still left off to the side. Smokebelch's shots are done in total darkness. He uses a sheet of printer paper and curves it. Then he uses the iphone/iPod app to create light and hikes it above the Lego figures. I have done similar shots. But I recently stopped using a back drop. I get a naturally black background since nothing else is illuminated. I like your snowtrooper tripod gun. It looks meaner than the one from the AT-AT set.
  3. Nice work. My only comments are the coloring and the hip/groin joint. All the joints seem sturdy and over built. But the hip tap joints looks like a weakpoint of the hardsuit. The other comment is the coloring. The all black body doesnt feel like mandalorian.
  4. Brickdoctor, great speeder bike picture. I think the problem is similar to one of my Speederbike pics. At least that is my feeling when I see your pic. The background looks fake. Like it was photoshopped in even though the background is legitimate and the only photoshop work was to edit out the support stick holding the bike up. Here is one I shot today with a new macro filter. I have not edited this picture at all other than resize it.
  5. I agree. The walls need to be bigger and taller. It has a Pharoh's Quest Guardians of the Staff set feel.
  6. I agree. The red robed picture is the best of the three. I know it's hard, cause I played with it too, but try to get more of the speeder bike in the shot. Close ups are fine but the slight cut off is distracting and all I can do is focus on it and think that you are holding it by the tip.
  7. Sorry to say this but they look like they have FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) there eyes are spread apart just a little too much.
  8. Very cool. I may try this out for a zombie pirate mod. I have been playing TT Games Lego POTC and they have Zombie Jack with skeleton limbs. This will be perfect.
  9. Very cool. Didnt know this was already posted. Silly me I should have done a search. I thought since it was so recent it wasnt posted yet. Any ideas how this was made? Im not familiar with the gear ratios and elements used in this build.
  10. How does the rubber band go thru the torso? I thought there is a wall of plastic inbetween the two arm holes?
  11. I cracked open the soundbrick. It is somewhat complex. there is a small spring that you have to put back in to get the brick to get the button to work properly. There is a chip/circuit board and a small speaker. I dont know if you can re-program it. Computer savy people may be able to answer that question. An alternate solution would be to harvest the guts from a programmable greeting card. Record the sound you want and fit the parts into a large lego set.
  12. I think the colors do not reflect Jango's style very well. But other than that I like the intricate cockpit area.
  13. Ok guys. I used to splice 2 million feet of film a year at a telecine transfer studio. We deal with camera questions and projector questions all the time. Anyway I thought this is awesome but have no idea how to make one. I can sort of see the elements but dont have enough knowledge of a projector to make one. I know about gates and claws but how does that translate to lego technic pieces? Very intriguing. http://www.peaceman.de/blog/ http://www.peaceman.de/blog/index.php/lego-technic-super-8-movie-projector
  14. Very nice and simple I like it.
  15. Greedo looks well lit. Might I suggest playing with the f/stop and make the number bigger for more DOF. The shallow focus is almost too shallow and I feel like it is actually ruining those compositions. Shallow focus has its uses but try experimenting with more DOF. Couldnt hurt. I want a proper macro lens too. But they are not cheap.
  16. Yep. For PS3 it is the Triangle button. When you press and hold it down there are only two characters available. Jack and the guitar playing character.
  17. Actually the Grand carousel does not have an on/off button. It is a momentary switch. When the carousel revolves, there is an element that will press on the momentary switch. By the time the carousel makes a full revolution, the button gets pressed again. If the carousel is not moving, you can push the button and it will play the sound. However it will stop after a while. It does not loop the song over an over unless you keep pressing the button.
  18. Nope. Dont care about the box.
  19. Perhaps you can use the smaller USB drive plug. Similar to the Lego USB that I have. But rather than have the usb plug come out of the torso, hollow out the torso so that the torso is the cap. And the Plug comes off the legs' waist?
  20. Very cool. Just need to work on the focus of your camera shots.
  21. They are ok. No legs for them? Might I suggest taking an official TLG Lego Minifig USB and swapping the torsos. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=54149 granted the legs are blue but at least they have legs haha.
  22. I have a misb (bags) City corner set with stickers and instructions. No box. Looking to trade for other lego sets. Im looking for: Special Edition 3661 Bank & Money Transfer New Creator 5711 Hillside House Creator 6754 Family Home let me know what you have.
  23. I wouldnt make such a statement just yet. A couple months ago I was in a Target in Souther California. I found two City Corner sets for $14.99!!!! Not a clearance price but an actual price tag on the shelf. Some other people found them at that price too. But it was probably a mistake? Since City Corners have showed up again but back to full price.
  24. What is the sky in the bkg? Is it blue paper with a light shining and reflecting off the paper as the sun?
