Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Finally getting in on this. Gal-Turok is a powerful Goblin lord of the Rakath Mountains. While the general consensus is that goblins are small, weak and not particularly intelligent, Gal-Turok has transcended those limitations. Not only is he physically imposing for his size, he has managed to rally several goblin tribes together to conquer and enslave several Orc bands in the region. His ambition goes beyond being the king of the tribes, as the rise of the Black Spire has presented to him with an opportunity to not only field and command the largest Goblin Army ever assembled, but to prove to Nocturnus, and eventually all of Historia, that goblins are a force to be reckoned with! Sorry about not having the standard in the pic, I ordered them and they haven't come in yet. Free build coming near the end of the month. Try living in the back country of New Mexico sir. -
Very clean and crisp looking. So simple and beautiful.

Well I've been reading through the guilds and I like this one the most..when I get home and settled in a few days I'll jump in. I've been really impressed with all the builds in GOH so i figure I'd stop spectating and post from time to time. -

If i wanted to join this thread, and have my character be a drow that isn't loyal to the other drow..could I do that? would it go against the storyline? -
In America, there is sorta of a resentment that goes on between geologist who are in the oilfield, and those that do everything else, due to the difference in pay. Hard rock geologists call oil field geologists soft rocks for a number of different reasons, all based on the difference in pay. Earth Science teachers here make sure they tell you that in grade school on through college and beyond. Back on topic this is an excellent tutorial, as I have always used BURPs to give the rocks stability and its good to see you can do it without them.

I meant no offense just throwing out the some extra info. I'm a geologist working for an oil field company, though I don't think I could ever navigate the waters to teach classes. Not my thing but nothing but respect for the people who do. Quick term for sedimentary rock=soft rock, and for igneous/metamorphic=hard rock.

I like the patch work roofs, but the water is my favorite!

It's also good to note that while normally soft rock grological formations are deposited horizontal, hard rock geological formations are commonly found at various degree angles, even 90 degree vertical. So buiding rocks at 45 degrees or straight up if your trying to represent granite, marble, slate or the like is very realistic as well. Soft formations can go at angle, however it is often through a process called folding. Not trying to downplay Kabel's info, just letting you guys know that horizontal, vertical, angled and even upside down are all realistic SNOT rock techniques.

You know I could sit here and say something like "great job" or "awesome" but I don't thiunk that would do this creation justice. You took a lego theme, completely expanded it into your own concept and have completely blown us away. The amount of time and detail put into this (especially those castle walls..I can't even imagine..) is worth more than a two word comment. This is just inspiring man.
