Bricklink? The Lego.com shop@home? eBay? (PS: yes, I know ESB was filmed in Norway. A few years ago I interviewed Tom Egeland (a norwegian actor/writer) who was a Hoth trooper about that.) -
Means January 2015 will be a cheap month for me (only interested in this set, Ezra's speederbike and the Skyhopper)...which is good since there are rumors a set of my favorite Tibanna Gas mine city is coming.

8097 Slave I This week I had 2 options: 6209 for 50 8097 for 70 Both used, both at sellers close to my home. The 8097 looked better, but (since I already had the minis of 8097) the 6209 was more tempting. I emailed the 6209 seller for some better pix, I replies 90 mins later......but the set (which had been for sale for some time) was gone! Then, I went for the 8097. Turned out the set was incomplete (1 beam was missing; already checked Bricklink....I can get it for a few cents) so instead of 70 it was 65. Just went to pick it up; stickers were applied but very neat, just some dust (the set had been opened, built, and then put on a chest where it had been for some time.) The ship itself looks great. Glad I didn't get the 6209. I'm gonna BL an IG-88 now and hope a Cloud City set is coming soon so I have some Bespin guards!

And I went for........ 8097. -
A Chewbacca with backpack (to put a legless C-3PO in) would be great in this set. I'd put these minifigs in: Luke (Bespin), Han Solo (Bespin), Leia (Bespin), Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Lando Calrissian, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper x2, Lobot, Bespin Guard x2, Ugnaught x2, Cloud Car Pilot (no pilot, since that fig would be in the Cloud Car set ;) ), Han Solo in Carbonite, Treva Horme and Wiorklettle, the 'E ch ta' droid: E-3PO, and Wilrow Hood!

No offense, but man.....this is nonsense.-The T-16 won't be a UCS -No way it's $ 300 (or $ 200.....or $ 100) -With Hulk_Smash's posts in mind it's unlikely Beru will be included. He said a pilot (could be Biggs, a Tusken and a Womp rat are included. No Bantha (although I hope there is one included).

Ok, AFOSWL....I need your advice: Slave I. I have 2 options: 8097 6209 I already have the minifigs of the 8097....while I don't have any of the 6209 minifigs. Which one should I get? Which model is better? (I read somewhere the 6209 is considered to be the best?) Right now, I'm leaning towards the 6209 (which is also a few bucks cheaper) because of the minifigs and because I have the feeling there isn't a lot of difference between the two sets. (don't know if this is correct?) PS: I'm definately not getting the new UCS set. -
Says who? Pic COULD be real. You also called the new Stormtrooper helmets fake....well, they're as good as confirmed as real. So...
-
Looks fantastic, but imo not +-€ 200 fantastic. I'm fine with my (Tatooine Skiff) Boba Fett, already have Stormtroopers and the Carbonite Han (Jabba's Palace). The Bespin guard is ok. Set itself looks way better than the 2010 version (which I don't have (I've only got the Bossk fig of that one) though. Think I'll pass and maybe get the 2010 version (2 local stores still have it in stock!....downside is that it's € 100)
-
Am I right when I say that the price will be between € 200 and € 250? Does anyone have an idea/indication about the price?
-
You better believe it now:
-
Only one site/source reported that title. Regarding the Stormtrooper helmets: I asked Brian Muir (the sculptor of Darth Vaders helmet, the OT Troopers etc.) 2-3 weeks ago about them (he is involved with Ep7 as well). Instead of saying the pix are fake he said he said couldn't comment. Why say this when they're fake? I agree there are a lot of sites reporting a lot that can't be real......but almost everyone is unanimous about the fact it isn't Tatooine.
-
The sandplanet in Episode 7 is NOT Tatooine according to various insiders/spies/sources.
-
Yup. I did. I must say that when I placed it under Jabba's palace both sets felt 'finished' and great.
-
75020 Jabba's Sail Barge.....for € 79,99!!!!! Local store had it on sale.
-
75005 - Rancor Pit Building the set is boring.....but the Rancor......d*** he's big! And great! This will look great along with my Jabba's Palace.
-
Thnx. Well, it's only logical the Inquisitor is included in this set since the TIE advanced is his personal starfighter in the Rebels TV series.
-
On his FB page Charles Lippincott (the great marketing/publicity supervisor of Star Wars) posted this: Pete Vilmur (a former Lucasfilm employee) posted this as a reply:
-
I bet that's Agent Kallus The troop transport I posted a pic of is in Rebels. (small snippets of it can be seen in the Rebels trailers for the TV series)
-
Mr. Banner/Hulk, Is the troop transport based on this set? Or does it look totally different? Dang. Still no Bantha.....just a Tusken. I'll get it if the price is right.

Oh my. This is the first time in 15? 20? years I am wrong about a Star Wars related fact. I really didn't know Vos was retconned in TPM. In my defence: it's the prequels -

He is never seen in the movies. Only mentioned. -
Well, there are more than 4 versions.......for instance: the re-release of the first movie in 1981 had some changes: the opening crawl for instance (back in 77 the movie didn't have A New Hope in the crawl...it was added in 81) here's some info: http://www.thegeektwins.com/2011/09/want-to-see-full-list-of-changes-to.html#.U_MRMmP1aZS Even the theatrical and TV versions are different.

Throw in an extra Kabe and Muftak and I'm in.
