Wait…50% has SW Lego? I had to miss last years edition and the year(s) before that I was in my ‘Lego Dark Ages’ but I can’t remember seeing a lot of Lego there? Are you sure? (I really hope so....) And just the new sets or also old retired sets? (any chance I'll find a Tantive IV or Battle of Endor at a decent price?)
-
Yep. I'll be there. You can expect a lot of dealers with merchandise (most of it is SW), some actors, some activities. There's also a Lego diorama (I believe Hoth) this year. A fun event.

I'd like to turn it around: if someone is saying the rumor (of the OT getting a BR release in it's original form)is true, I need proof. Also, what are the original versions? Take the first Star Wars for instance: is the 1977 theatrical version (which doesnt have 'Episode IV A New Hope' in the crawl for instance) the real original version? Or do we want the 1981 version (with Episode IV in the crawl and other changes)....or the 1980 version (with alternate C-3PO lines)....or the 1993 version....or.....? http://www.thegeektwins.com/2011/09/want-to-see-full-list-of-changes-to.html#.VCmO7Bah6ZT

Unfortunately not true: http://screencrush.c...l-releases-dvd/

I saw it today. When I first saw the Ghost over a year ago (at Celebration Europe during the talk with Filoni) I was instantly interested. I got the set (and the Phantom) in May and they're one of my favorite sets. Having seen the ship in action I like it even more....even though the set should have been a bit bigger and the inside doesn't look anything like the 'real' version.

Thnx. And what about the vehicles? Are there a lot of differences between them? -

Which snowspeeder is better? the new 2014 version? Or the Wampa Cave snowspeeder? The Wampa version has a few bricks more.....but some of them are for the cave.....so comparing just the vehicles the new one has more parts.....but does that make it better? My dilemma is this: -Get 8089 (Wampa + snowspeeder) (and miss out on Dack (I already have pilot Luke + snowtroopers) and get Zev Senesca which I already have) OR -Get the new Snowspeeder + bricklink the Wampa and Hoth Luke -
Oscar Isaac said this. And did you say Stormtrooper? http://makingstarwars.net/2014/09/photo-star-wars-episode-viis-chrome-stormtrooper/

Snatched the last Mos Eisley Cantina at a local store....20% off RRP.

…looks like I may change my mind about the Speeder set: if Miss Wren is included with her helmet I may get that one as well…hope to get it for € 20 max. Skyhopper pilot is a disappointment. With a Tusken+ Bantha, Luke with his silly Tatooine hat and Biggs this set would have sold way better I think....(even though it would have been at least € 15/20+ more expensive) ITT remains a must have. TIE Advanced and the chickenwalker could be contenders…..maybe…Inquisitor looks cool....still, I think I'd get some OT sets (BL and in stores) I have missed..... As said before: this wave will be a cheap one. Timing couldn’t be more perfect since in february 2015 Fantasy Flight Games will be releasing ‘Star Wars: Imperial Assault’: a boardgame that will cost me a fortune (thanks to it’s expansion sets).
-
Yep. Fixed.
-
I know these sets will probably never happen. But......if I would have the power (or Force) to decide what the next wave would be..... -White Witch (with Thal Joben, Jord Dusat, Tig Fromm Sise Fromm) -Sand Sloth (with Kea Moll, C-3PO, R2) -Tatooine desert set (Bantha, Krayt Dragon skeleton, a few Tuskens, some Jawas) -Mos Eisley streets set (Garindan, Wioslea + his shop, Ponda Baba, Dr Evazan, Momaw Nadon) -Cloud City (superset including everything) -Dagobah set (Yoda's hut, the cave, Yoda, Ben ghost, Luke, muddy R2, swamp creature, snakes, Vader with cracked helmet) -Moldy Crow (Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors, WeeGee) -The Outrider (Dash, Leebo) -The Virago (Xizor, Guri) -Ebon Hawk (Revan, Bastila, Carth, Canderous, Mission, Zaalbar, Jolee, Juhani, HK47, T3-M4) The only sets that have a chance of REALLY being released are Cloud City and Dagobah I'm afraid......
-
Your predictions on the next sets to be retired?
Jedi-Bendu replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Falcon is in Episode VII......and the current Falcon has been around for +-3 years. Good chance it'll retire this winter or next summer......and then in the winter 2015 wave a new version is released. I also hope the Death Star will retire.....so Cloud City can take it's place! -
Yes. You have my blessing.....to quote Solo: "You're all clear kid!" ;)
-
lol. Checkmate. I knew this cover existed...heck, I've pre ordered this book when it was announced....completely slipped my mind. I'm getting old.
-
Looking at it again; you could be right about the hairpiece. Difficult to see. In the Episode both Ezra and Kanan (and Zeb) are on speederbikes though. Tell me about it. It's almost the same as people saying the Stormtroopers in Rebels should look the same as the OT ones (even though there isn't something official to prove this)
-
Look at the pic: http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data/600/pic9.jpg Stormie on the right speeder Kanan (you can tell it's him because of his ponytail) on the left speeder That means Ezra is on the left (same hairpiece as the current Ezra) Now, IF there is 1 small fig in this set.....it's Ezra. (the fig in the pic looks normal sized) Look at all the Rebels books and trailers that have been released: in the series Ezra is a kid. He's small. In the Phantom set, they released Ezra as a normal size character. Maybe they found out this size was wrong and are now correcting it? (Just like Kanan in the Wookiee set has a different haircolor than the Kanan in the Ghost set?)

Hm, funny. I was among the biggest complainers on this forum when 2014 winter wave was in this phase (and after the officials also), but this can be a VERY expensive wave for me providing TLG delivers on ITT (but I know they won't anyway, so...) Potentially there's Vulture, ITT, Shadow Troopers, Hailfire, Geonosians I didn't even expect that I'd be this surprised when I first saw the list... Well, the fact I don't collect PT, CW and microfighter sets helps being a cheap wave
-
Hmmmmm.....the ITT is a must. When it was announced I hoped it would be the same as the Kenner toy. When I heard it was a Battlepack I was a bit disappointed (because it meant it was smaller than I'd hoped) but it looks ok to me (better than I'd expected!) The 2 others sets I was interested in are the Skyhopper and Ezra's speeder. Looking at the pix my interest in the speeder is gone.....and I had really hoped a Bantha was included with the Skyhopper. Still, € 30 for the Skyhopper seems a good price, plus it has a Tusken Raider (a fig I really want). A VERY cheap wave for me, which isn't bad because I can catch up on the sets I missed out on and some sets of this summers wave I want (AT-AT and the Star Destroyer)
-
That's why I didn't list that under the confirmed facts, but under unconfirmed. PS: Lando has been confirmed, thanks to SW Insider:
-
Another 'clue': Billy Dee Williams was confirmed months ago as a voice actor for Star Wars: Rebels. I bet he'll be Lando again.... ;) Maybe Cloud City will also appear in Rebels? In short: Confirmed -a new Bespin Guard fig -Slave I set -Billy Dee (mr. Cloud City himself) in Rebels; a series of which in 2015 many sets will be released Unconfirmed -an Ugnaught minifig (according to Hulk_Smash's reports there could be one in the speeder set) -Cloud City makes an appearance in Rebels I've started saving. How 'bout you?
-
I've seen these (on eBay) and Fantastic, fabulous, great. I've thought about doing this as well......my question for you are: where did you get the cardback images? (I've seen a lot on the web, but I was wondering if there's 1 'definitive' site with all the original Kenner cardbacks)
-
Well, we don't know that for sure. Unless there's something official (*) to back that up we don't know for sure if the Rebels stormtroopers are not supposed to be an earlier slightly different version of the OT trooper. In fact: there are also differences between the stormtrooper and Darth Vader helmets used in ANH, ESB and ROTJ. (*=a statement from Lucasfilm/Disney, Leland Chee, etc etc)
