  1. I must admit: there was more LEGO than I expected. Some overpriced, some really weird deals (one stand had boxed SW sets.....all without the minifigs), and some sets I was looking for..... In the end, I got this: 7956 Ewok Attack 9489 Endor Rebel and Imperial Trooper battlepack 8038 Battle for Endor Yup. I got the 8038! I got mine for € 125 at FACTS. Mint in Box!
  2. Guess who's coming back in Episode VII........
  3. 75049 Snowspeeder 75034 Death Star Troopers
  4. Since went for the 75049 snowspeeder but wanted some Hoth folks that were exclusive to the old set: I also got the Denny Delk voiced droid and Hoth Leia.

  6. Yup. Brilliant. A lot of OT references....... So far, this show blows CW away.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I am wondering why this is? Wouldn't it be commercially better to release the sets before Christmas? That's the period when most presents are bought. The Hobbit sets are released in november, why not Star Wars as well?
  8. I wonder how the Inquisitor looks with his helmet off. There are no pix of that, right? Also, every year in mid december I'm in Germany, most of the times in Cologne where they have a LEGO store. Any chance they'll have these sets then?
  9. The Tusken! No doubt I'll get that set! Stormie battlepack is also a no-brainer. Seeining these pix I'm also interested in the AT-DP......while the TIE Advanced has a great fig (Inquisitor) but I don't think that'll convince me. 1 thing sucks: Sabine hasn't got her helmet!!!
  10. yup. Julian Glover (as Walter Donovan)
  11. You do know the premiere episode of Rebels has been available for a week online?
  12. That's way too easy. Explain why you hate it. I'm honestly curious!
  13. 20m drive to pick up the retired 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder (in perfect condition). As a bonus I got the white pupil Luke in celebration outfit. (which is good since I wasn't planning to get the outdated Visual Dictionary that had this fig as a bonus) Not bad for € 14. Get it. And get the Phantom as well. Seriously: as a pair it rocks and really fits with OT sets. (I only have OT sets and these 2 are my only non-OT sets)
  14. LEGO should do what Hasbro does: a 'Fan's choice set'. Hasbro has done this several times with action figures: they nominate a couple of characters and the one that gets the most votes is released. Besides Dagobah and Cloud City I can't think of a set I'd want more than the Ebon Hawk (with the whole crew of course).
  15. All Star Trek incarnations (although I must say Enterprise is my least favorite, and yes: I also like the animated Trek) Twilight Zone (the 80s series) Sherlock (the BBC series with Cumberbatch) Sherlock Holmes (the 80s/early 90s series with Jeremy Brett) Battlestar Galactica (the original series! Not the crap reboot) Buck Rogers (the 70s/80s version) How I Met Your Mother (Legen-......wait for it.......) Jim Henson's The Storyteller Fraggle Rock Droids Ewoks Rebels Twin Peaks A-Team The Outer Limits (90s version) Doctor Who (the Tom Baker, Eccleston and Tennant years) Seinfeld
  16. There's also the giant green pig and the backpack alien (they were one of the first Ep7 pix that hit the net). Imagine the Lego versions.....
  17. Interesting article regarding a rumored 'I am your father' sized moment http://makingstarwars.net/2014/10/huge-rumor-star-wars-episode-viis-father-sized-moment/
  18. Sure thing releasing a 'pre-special edition version of the OT' (let's call it this due to the various original versions ;) ) would be very profitable. Still, there must be a reason why they still aren't here.....+-2 years after the Disney deal. Maybe it's part of the Lucas/Disney deal; that Lucas sold everything to Disney but they had to promise to never release the old version? ;) It would be great to have them on BR, but until then I'll pop in the LaserDisc (or the limited DVD from 2006) when I want to see an unaltered version.
  19. I think the Ree-Yees minifig (you mention him in one of the links in your post) is one of the best minifigs! Let's first see how Tusken looks before we jump to conclusions.
  20. € 179? I can get a new, sealed one for € 140 at a local toystore that has old stock. Still in doubt whether to get it now…or in a few months with the risk it’s gone. (There are some other sets I want more...) Sunday afternoon is the moment you can get bargains.....and yes: I know some prices are (too) high at FACTS. No reason to shop for books (novels, reference) or DVDs/BRs there.....Amazon is cheaper. Even the Galactic Heroes (a Star Wars kiddie line from Playskool) are ridiculously prices (which also was the case at Celebration). € 15 for 2 figs......a while ago they were in the sale bins at the local toy store..... Years ago I made some sweet deals regarding (Star Wars) statues, signed Ralph McQuarrie lithographs and Ewoks animation cells. Well, FACTS has more international dealers than the Collectors Fair in Utrecht (which has almost no international toy/merchandise dealers). Also, FACTS has more dealers than most conventions. LondonFilm&ComicCon, Collectormania, JediCon, Weekend of Horrors, the StarCons…nothing compares with FACTS regarding the amount of dealers. Still....this year I'm just going for the fun. No work assignment (back in 2006 I was Anthony Daniels' assistant), the kids are at their grandparents that weekend and Mrs Jedi-Bendu (who has attended just 2 conventions ever) is coming. A weekend of fine beers, some city sightseeing, shopping, and on saturday some FACTS.
