  1. Ah, so it's likely they'll be like the Cuusoo ones....a while ago there were bootlegs that looked like these. Still not my cup 'o tea....but great for MOCers due to all those unique parts (Helmets etc)
  2. Correct. Seriously: what's so good about these sets? They look horrible! (I must admit I'm a Star Wars collector; not a Lego collector. Only reason I buy Lego System sets it's because it's Star Wars. To me, these things are the same as the 12 inch Star Wars dolls from the late 70s and mid 90s: not compatible with all the vehicles/playsets. But I guess if you're a MOCer (which I am not) they're great for parts? Anyhoo.....it saves me $ (the release of Episode VII wil be expensive enough regarding merchandise)
  3. I read on Rebelscum that a member there got a Rancor Pit set that was missing most of the Rancor fig (fingers, jaw, nails)...so I feared having the same problem when I got mine..... I opened the box, looked for the Rancor immediately and yup: I couldn't find the nails. After a lengthy search I found them; they were located in another bag. When I got the 7965 Falcon instead of 2 grey bricks with 2 studs each I got 1 grey brick with 4 studs. Luckily I had spare parts so this error was easily fixed.
  4. I hope so too..... Still, it would save me $ as I am not interested at all. On the other hand, isn't it odd that it would mean there's only 1 Rebels set this summer? Rebels is popular right now, especially with the kids; this would be the perfect time to release some sets. Not that they should release 6 more Rebels sets, but at least more than just the big one (the carrier). Having said that, I have a feeling at least two of the construction figs will be from Rebels. Quick summary: 5 summer sets (we've seen pix of 4 of them) 7 Episode VII sets later this year (no pix yet, but they've been announced (numbers+price) A rumor of 6 construction figs That leaves the rumored EchoBase set that should arrive in october. Any news on that one?
  5. Starcrash Edit: too slow ;)
  6. an underrated classic...which could have been legendary if the whole movie would have taken place on Eternia instead of earth (with Monica from Friends and Tom Paris from Star Trek Voyager...)
  7. Just like the guys from 'Whodini' say: the freaks come out at night!....
  8. Deathstalker!
  9. You got it! The furry fella is also known as Teek, played by actress Niki Botelho (I interviewed her in 2010), while the voice was done by Mark Dodson (I interviewed him in 2010 as well; he also voiced Salacious Crumb, Gremlins, etc) Ok, enough with the self-promotion , time for a new pic! Daimar; your turn!
  10. 3 more hints: -It's from 1985 -The movie wasn't released in American theaters, but was shown on TV -There's an interview with the actress who played the already mentioned furry fella on my website.
  11. Nope and nope.....I thought you guys would guess it in a sec! A hint? Well, this furry fella is one of the co-stars of the movie. Oh, and it's mid-80's.
  12. Nope.....definately NO apes in this movie!
  13. An easy one I think:
  14. Loose Jawa from BL:
  15. That must be "Local Hero"
  16. ...thank you sir! The Shuttle Tydirium looks fan-tas-tic. It's not the sharpest picture, but I love it as far as I can see. The final duel......hmmmm......still not too enthusiastic yet.
  17. That is correct!
  18. One month it could be € 0.....but when the new Star Wars sets are being released it could be a couple of 100's. I've got a few rules though: -I only buy Star Wars. (Yup, the Ghostbusters set looks great and Lord of the Rings is cool.....but I'd rather focus on one Lego license) -I will never buy sets (excluded retired sets) for RRP; there's a store in my town where all sets are approx 20% under the RRP all the time. (Waiting a few days can save cash) -Buying retired sets is OK, but never for more than the original RRP + 10% (or in a rare case RRP + € 25.) (Paying 250 for a set that was 150 5 years ago? NO.WAY.) -Buying a used set? Only if it is way under it's original RRP. (Used sets (especially when they're already built) don't give me the same good feeling a new set does) -Max price I pay for a set: € 150. (I can see myself breaking this rule for a fantastic, incredible set....like a Cloud City set....or maybe this year's EchoBase? Besides Lego, I also collect other Star Wars merchandise....that's the reason of this rule.) -I love SW minifigs. There have been some figs I really wanted but were released just once and are retired now. I'll pay € 15 max for a minifig on Bricklink (my Lando Calrissian is the fig I paid that kinda money for. Luckily I'm just 4 OT minifigs away from having all the OT figs I want)
  19. "Mr. Hulot's Holiday" Edit: since I'm sure it's the Jacques Tati movie I took the liberty to post the next one:
  20. Ok, a few weeks ago we got this list of 2015 SW sets: The first 5 are being shown at the London Toy Fair. Also at that fair are the 7 Episode VII sets (but only a select group can see them). So…what about the other 6 sets? Clearly they aren’t at the fair (or is one of them the Star Wars advent calendar?). I wonder what they are, when they will be released and why they aren’t at the fair (while the rest is there on display).
  21. Yup....some folks have seen 'em (the Ep7 sets): PS: So.....it's simple. Find someone with this bag and bribe 'em.
  22. Did we already know this? Source: MakingStarWars So, the Ep7 sets are finished and in London? But only a select group has seen them/will see them?
  23. First: Thanks for posting this! Second: I'm disappointed reading this..... -I was hoping to get a new fig with the Tydirium (Orrimaarko for instance) but I knew there was a small chance that would happen. I was almost sure the set would include a new Leia, Han and Luke; all with Endor prints. Turns out TLG didn't take THE chance to make a new Luke Endor print (the only one there is is a yellow minifig! Yes, it's been THAT long!) I will still get the set (as I love the shuttle) but it's a small disappointment -Final duel: as I posted this morning, just like I expected: no new minifigs besides the Vader helmet. THE opportunity to make a Dignitary is wasted...... -Assault Carrier: Looks like a decent minifig selection, but.......in order to get a complete Kallus and Sabine I have to buy this expensive set AND 2 sets I don't really want? (the AT-DP and the speeder set) For the money they ask for this set they could've at least included Kallus' helmet and Sabines hairpiece. Boo! Hiss! PT sets don't interest me that much, so it looks like it might be (just like the current winter wave (I only got the T-16 and TroopTransport)) a cheap wave......here's hoping the Ep7 fall wave (and EchoBase) will be sets that pull the cash out of my wallet.
  24. correct. He never wore camo or anything like that....so the fig puzzlez me...
