  1. Curiosity has me asking, when will we know! I know its a daunting task, but my ability to wait quietly seems to be fading this was a great round and some fantastic builds were put up for this one. here's hoping we hear something soon! (don't rush on account of me though, get it just right!)
  2. New term needed for sets of this type: Play-Display! that's right its a display piece you can play with!
  3. It was called simply "Clone Walker" and is similar to an AT-RCT (minus the side shields and appears to be slightly smaller)
  4. I am currently working on getting the missing ones for my collection, leading up to the release of the UCS. can't say for sure i'll get them all by then but I think I have enough time
  5. I'm on board with many of you over all this way is a miss fire. Shadow Guards are still a must have for me (though i only really need maybe 2 packs of those) leaving plenty for Slave I which I've had budgeted since midsummer anyway. and this now leaves spare cash to finish my goal of getting all the other Slave I sets that I'm still missing
  6. To each their own, But i do feel i need to point out that the Saber Staffs the Shadow Guards have are accurate to what they wield. should be a a weapon equal in length to a double saber, but with one end being a staff, and the other a saber.
  7. UCS Slave I: Officially revealed for January 1st 2015 retail for US $199.99, CA $229.99, DE 199.99€, UK £169.99 and DK 1699.00 DKK from 1st January 2015.
  8. yep no earthly animals ever have large amounts of extra skin....
  9. Q1: I didn't build that option as it would simply be a plate instead of a helm (well maybe a couple plates to make it flush) Q2: and the Imperial markings, I completely over looked those, I know I have a couple 1x1 round plates with the marking that will fit on the wings easy. And Blackice200, I used the Trooper helm simply because I own 0 AT-AT, and do not have a white pilot helm (which as a write that is crazy as I’ve always liked that big walker) And thanks, again everyone!
  10. unfortunately the New Disney rules on EU/Legends content appear to have ended everything non-canon, including Fan voted EU type things. What would be awesome is if Disney started a whole new series of short films, named “Star Wars: Legends” and highlight stories from the Legends lines. This would give them both the ability to profit from those EU stories we all love AND keep them out of the main story, after all its just a Legend, right? For Example: for the Thrawn Trilogy it could start out with “Legend has it that far off in the future…..” and for TOR stories “This is the Legend of <insert name>, thousands of years ago…”
  11. the only critique I have for the Snowspeeder is that the wings look a bit flat, and wide, the details are great though! I love the power station and the Y-wing too, trench is a bit bland (though not your fault subject matter is just that way) still very well done!
  12. TOR sets I love, and would love many many more of, but TFU there is only One set I want from there, Proxy! preferably a Maul bust sized well... Bust lol. as for the rest of the Legends content, yeah i'll grab anything they give me
  13. as far as stormtroopers go, I just think of each change (within OT ones) as I do real world professions sometimes old uniforms don't get replaced quickly enough and you end up with people in similar but not identical gear. so the ones in the old gear just stand in back ;)
  14. are you an Aussie? or just well versed in auto's world wide (as I am) cause those are the only reasons anyone ever hears about the HSV Ute. shame they didn't make one for the States, cause I'd love to have one.
  15. yeah, my original plan was to have the figure in there, but the problem came up when I needed to have the trooper looking forward out of the hole. minifigs have no neck, so they cant tilt their heads back. notice in your pictures the chest is pointing down and forward while the head is looking straight forward. combine the minifig limitations and the scale I wanted to build at, having the torso in there just wasn't an option for me.
  16. ever heard the saying don't look a gift horse in the mouth? I'm guessing if you have you don't practice that. Just2good is giving us a gift, take it at face value and stop complaining that your GIFT is slow in arriving! and lets not forget that he wants to provide a full set of images for each theme in one group, and as he has stated he is missing a few.
  17. 2 things.... Just2Good I love the work you do but i hate how much it makes me want these! and the second thing... Pokemon Syndrome kicked in, Gotta Have EM ALL!!!!
  18. The Empire is always experimenting with new troop concepts and the Cruise-missile Trooper is another of those crazy creations. The Cruise-missile Trooper was a Space fighter equipped with heavy forward armor but no shielding and the pilot was physically attached at the waist to the ship, meaning if the ship were destroyed the trooper was too. the ship though was incredibly fast and was often the first wave of assault craft leading the Tie Fighters with proton torpedoes and dual lazer cannons. The Kenner toy is the only place this craft ever existed but dispite that, Keeper of the Holocron Leland Chee stated that the Cruisemissile Troopers are to be considered part of canon. My version is as close to minifig scale as i could possibly get, due to that the only part of the figure in my ship is the exposed helmet of the pilot/trooper (minifigures have issues looking up ) . I've done everything possible to include all features of the toy possible. Reference image, with flaps deployed and side engines lowered. Hope you Like it as always Comments are welcomed!
  19. he released some pictures for other themes, and knowing he had previously released pictures for this theme it was asked if he was going to do the same here. he didn't lie to us and due to that has been barraged with questions about what he has viewed and when we can see what he has seen. (EDIT: I personally would rather wait longer to see so I don't have to wait as long knowing till I can buy the sets I might want. but i'll look cause its far to tempting )
  20. Spyerlord, part of the hype up of films is the pre-merchandising if Lego is going to be involved with that (and I'm sure they will) there is no question that they will have the first wave of EP VII sets on shelves before November. Lego WILL be missing out on sales if they dont have something on the shelves for parents to pick up before the movie hits. I can't begin to speculate how the Waves will be adjusted to do this but i am certain that there will be EP VII sets for us by November of next year.
  21. interesting, black chromed elite guards, shiny or not that's a very intimidating appearance, one that's definitely high on my gotta have list (Lego form of course) can't have enough chromies
  22. if GotG is anything to go by sets will be out far in advance of the films. I'd guess that a Ep VII heavy wave will hit about a month and a half before the film and a handful of OT sets that "cross over" in the summer preceding it.
  23. ok, I can't hold my tongue on this one, and I hope I'm not out of line saying this build feels a bit insulting. the build has some neat features (the cow head was clever) and I get that time is running out and both sides are pushing to get troop counts but I see nothing here except your sigfig that makes me think this is in star wars or even any scifi world. I can except low quality builds and rushed even unfinished ones, but I just don't see how this one has anything to do with the episode.
  24. although Bionicle is the current Hype monster in Lego, not being a fan of it myself I've no idea what Bionicle has to do with Comics. seems like its out of place there to me, but again I don't know much of anything about these masked creatures? people? somethings.... I would expect NYCC do have something more relevant to the greater comic con crowd. DC or Marvel, or maybe the Dino line.
  25. ok, yours is bigger than the one I'm planning, but it looks great! the fig might be a bit short for it though ;)
