This could work.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
slugdude replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Considering the fact that most sets with even one bigfig are usually around $40-50 I doubt they would have one as low as $35. $100 dollars may be overpriced but I expect the set would be over $50 at least. There was a castle set with two ogres that was, I believe, around $80, so I suppose it isn't out of the realm of possibility. I, however, personally doubt it. -
Anyone think a new, less-goofy Two-face is a possibility? I know Lego loves there variants and I missed out on both Two-faces.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
slugdude replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
It would still cost money to produce the old hulk mold (which may include new colors / facial print) in addition to the cost of a hulkbuster. Putting two bigfigs in a set below $100 would be a huge losss for Lego so they'll probably do what others are saying and make Hulkbuster like Groot. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I doubt we'll see the Hulkbuster as a bigfig due to the fact that Lego usually has a one-bigfig-per-set rule and sets with bigfigs are usually $50 so one with two would be obscenely expensive. Also, what would the build be? Hulk and Tony are fighting in the street in the concept art so a set with a brick-built Hulkbuster and bigfig Hulk would be preferable. -
*PLEASE READ* This is a thread for educated guesses on possible Marvel sets in 2015. Please do not make random guesses or type down what YOU want rather than what is likely to be made. Remember simple things like usual set price points and number of figs per price point. No $20 sets with more than 3 minifigs or ridiculous expectations for sets with low piece counts (Ex: a $50 Helicarrier or $20 Quinjet). That being said, I've made a list of Age of Ultron sets based on set photos and film rumors $13 set- Comes with Iron Man mk 42 (new version), 2x Ultron drones. probably a set piece and/or a vehicle $20 set- Based on set photos I think this set will have Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye (trenchcoat). It will probably have a vehicle for Hawkeye and some destroyed cars/scenery $30-40 set- Comes with Ultron (I believe there are 3 forms so this will probably be the 2nd), Thor, Captain America, Ultron Drone. This will probably be a smaller, sleaker Quinjet. $50 set- Strucker's base from the beginning of the movie. It will have Hulk, Iron man (in a brick built Hulk Buster), Black Widow (she is dating Hulk so it's a good fit), Scarlet Witch (controlling Hulk), and Strucker. It will include Loki's staff and maybe a chitauri head in a jar. $80 set- Final battle. Last form Ultron, mk 43 Iron Man, The vision, Quicksilver, Cap, Scarlet Witch. What do you guys think? Did I miss any figs? What about non-AOU sets?

My entry: BiG BrOTHER This rather large, and hard to crack open, turtle-bot is designed for peaceful exploration in extreme conditions. It's near-impenetrable hide can withstand extreme heat and cold, meteor storms, and vicious alien attacks. BiG BrOTHER is truly a symbol of peace, prosperity, and knowledge in a unified galaxy.

Well the only thing that could make me want this tumbler more is if Batman has a grit-teeth angry face (which he has needed for a LOOOONG time). But in all seriousness, as a malcontent complainer I can honestly say that, in my opinion, this is the best thing lego has made in relation to batman at any point in time. Ever.

I think comic Ultron, Scarlet Witch, or Quicksilver are likely exclusives as Lego will want to build up hype for Avengers 2. Although I hope not because I want moar X-men.

I would suggest looking at drug stores or even a book store like Barnes and Noble.

You're all so angry about this exclusive fig of a character we've gotten already and isn't that cool to begin with. Who among you had actually heard of Rocket Raccoon before the movies and cartoons started promoting him? I sense a strong amount of emotion about something trivial. We could have gotten a recognizable character that isn't lame that hasn't appeared in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. If you really want this fig bricklink a starlord torso and paint some short legs red.

Is anyone gonna post some reviews for these sets? I'm tired of video reviews and would like some nice pics of the figs.

They should give out the special offer poly bags with figs that you can only get from spending obscene amounts of money at shop@home before they are available to the public.

With all the publicity Deathstroke has gotten recently it would seem he is the perfect cash-cow, so a fig of him seems likely. Zoom is just a flash recolor so he would be easy to produce and there is a parka hood which is perfect for Captain Cold.

So is Iron Man's helmet, flashes cowl, and the phase 2 clone helmets and plenty of other head gear. Plus, they would be removable, so it you could just take them off if you didn't like them. Lego has made plenty of other things that didn't seem feasible, like wolverines claws, into good looking pieces so I don't think this would be too tough a challenge for them.

I'd rather get gauntlets with spikes that go on Batman's wrists than boot print.

I think that's based on the original light grey batman and the logo looks like the one from the Beware version so those are close enough for me.

Oh God no, this is exactly what I mean. There is a difference between "different" and "terrible" and this is the exact meaning of terrible.

I fear for the future of Spider-Man, as the USM cartoon is atrocious and the villain designs are just the worst. I don't want a ninja Scorpion or mutated rhino. And now Doc Ock is floating around in a bubble. Lizard is fine but I'm afraid he would be a bigfig and Sandman and Kraven look good too. I'm afraid for carnage the most, his ultimate comic design was great but the one in the show has to be the worst iteration I've seen since artists started drawing him with no black.

I think a D2C Oscorp tower would be an excellent opportunity to get a classic green goblin and maybe even a Hobgoblin or a big fig Venom that Oscorp is experimenting on.

I mostly was referring to the fact that the HL Joker has gruesome scars carved into his face. Most of the children's toys based off the film actually changed the face sculpts to regular smiles and children's promotional material was censored as well. Seeing how TLG objects to violence, weapons, and blood I doubt they'll make this fig. I could be wrong however as they have released a Star Killer figure with blood on his chest. In addition, Bane was fine because he had no grievous disfigurements. Kids who didn't see TDKR had no idea bane snapped necks so they just thought of it as a neat new costume. Also, we got comic Bane, who broke batman's back and also killed a great deal of people. The actions of character's from the source material doesn't really matter as long as the figure isn't visually horrid.

Ideas for New Action Themes
slugdude replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Don't know if anything like this has been mentioned but I think a cool idea would be an "all-stars" type theme where famous action themes from across lego history are mixed and matched. It could include remakes of old sets mixed with new sets inspired by the old ones. An example could be an Exo-force mech vs a Monster Fighters vehicle or an Agents vehicle driving to ruins from Pharaoh Quest. The theme could include modern stuff like Chima all the way back to the days of Sam Sinister. -
I doubt we'll see Ventriloquist in a set any time soon. My prediction for the next DC Batman wave is sets based on the game with new, gimmicky batsuits, a new Joker, maybe the long-awaited Green Lantern and possibly some old characters in their New 52 outfits. Regarding the D2C tumbler, the Dark Knight trilogy is long gone so I see no point in making another disappointing tumbler. A Heath Ledger Joker is even less likely as his design is not exactly kid-friendly and another movie Batman (that would probably still be grey as the black version was an exclusive) would be useless as he is already available in another set that isn't grossly overpriced. Hopefully the Lego Ideas Xavier Institute will at least pique TLG's interest in the X-Men franchise because I doubt it will be put into production (especially because it's up against ANOTHER Batman D2C). However, I suppose a man can dream
