  1. 42241 Green Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Hypercar
  2. The Nuremberg Toy Fair starts today and lasts till 31st January. I hope we get some info for summer.
  3. Yes. The problem is not the idea but the implementation.
  4. It will be a fun little toy and surprise for kids, but I hope we'll get something remarkably bigger construction set this summer...
  5. According to faniklockow.pl, the 42239 Batmobile will have 719 pieces. It also mentions remote controlling but I highly doubt.
  6. No, the Mustang won't be C+ judging from its price. It might be a similar case like with the Ford GT MKII. TLG charges more for the same 1:16 scaled car just because.
  7. I bet not all missing numbers will be sets, 7 at most. 1 recolour, 1 bike (1:5), 1 supercar (1:8), and 4 other (hopefully) non-car/bike machines.
  8. I thought they would do the real F1 cars first, but neither would interest me. At least we may have the possibility to get golden parts from it.
  9. I can't imagine what would be the $10 difference between a 'simple' 1:16 car and an 18+ 1:16 one... black box, okay, but regarding building..?
  10. I bet these 'air jacks' will be similar to 8143
  11. I hope not. First of all, I don't and won't really like TLG putting 3D printed things in official sets. They drastically differ from the 'build it from small parts' mentality. But, if the forced 3D printing is limited for accessories/decoration, that's fine. But if it means structural parts (beams, pins, axle) then that will be a disaster. I can't imagine a situation where a 3D printed part behaves better than a moulded one. If you have any ideas, please, let me know.
  12. I agree, although that would imply that the remaining numbers get filled up which I highly doubt :D (seeing last year's 42184 and 42196). I know, nothing is written in stone, but it's still an unusal way of numbering.
  13. It must be the July wave. I bet 2 of them are cars. It's always interesting seeing these jumps in numbers mid-year.
  14. Wow.. 2 polybags in one year..! And with the magazines, Technic is really pumping up its sets' number.
  15. I understand that TLG wants to please everyone, who are new to Lego, by having dumbed-down instructions and colourful innards for easier building flow. The problem is that system sets get covered up by a fine outer shell where most of the time these colourful innards can't be seen (even more frustratingly they have newly coloured pieces for moulds), but Technic sets don't get the same treatment. I know, I know, the blue pins are the core of the medium, but I haven't heard someone say for a black model with red-yellow-blue parts shining through (even sticking out) that what a pleasant sight it is. I repeat myself as I've said it several weeks ago, at least TLG SHOULD provide non-blue pins for the models' visual consistency. I can't imagine what's the difference between having blue and black pins in one set, and only 1 white (which cannot be seen) in another set.
  16. Another 4 sets' price has been leaked: 42225 7+ $9.99 42226 9+ $64.99 42227 10+ $64.99 42228 18+ $229.99 We can assume the bigger ones will be two 1:16 cars and a 1:8 F1.
  17. Totally unjustified.. /s Also, it's positive that at least TLG responds to some of these comments even if they are templated.
  18. The only sign TLG will read from (presumably) bad sales is people don't like construction machines = make more cars :( :(
  19. I think the reason is simple. TLG got emboldened by the fact that Technic is one of the top 5 best sellings themes for several years in a row. They don't feel ashamed to claim as much money as they ask for. Why would they? The same could be said for several other themes. Logically, this set must've been 250 € at most (going by the Airbus helicopter). For me, in the better years the theme's charm was not only in the functionalities, but in its affordability too. Now both of them getting kicked around.
  20. I... I don't know what's the plan with this. As @allanp mentioned too, I think something is happening behind the curtains... but not in a good way. Seeing the Liebherr crane, this excavator, their functionalities, and then their prices. Do they really want to justify releasing more cars in various scales by blaming bad sales of afore mentioned construction machines? Or am I seeing things?
  21. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Not that I expected anything else, but seeing this... honestly I have serious doubts about the 50th anniversary.
  22. The more car/bike models they release, the better for me. They know how to make some people save money. I'm curious about them, but not interested. The only set that I might buy from this wave is the NASA rocket if it's made properly. Also, do we know if these sets are for January, or January+March? Because I have a feeling it's just for the first month...
