Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Vindicare replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm looking at getting some Brickarms to outfit my clones with. I'm at a stalemate on which rifle to use... I'm going with either the "Space Assault Rifle" or the "M41A Pulse Rifle". I'm going to couple that with the "Space Magnum Pistol". I'm leaning towards the M41A, but not completely. So I turn to you all to help give me the push in the right direction. Wasn't sure if this should be in the MCW forum instead, Mods if you see fit to move it, so be it. -

I was browsing Clone Armies on YouTube. A few of them mentioned a "LLCA", large(st) Lego clone army. I've never read anything about that here. Anyone know what it's about? Is it an actual club, or just some friends making one... The kid who I first heard it from had a decent sized one, both in troops and vehicles, although a lot were BPs. He had 300+ clones, old and new BPs. -
Very cool layout, not much in the way of buildings, but there's so much to look at. What are the pieces you used for the net of the lacrosse stick? I've never seen them...

Thanks for the offer. Where ya live? I swear I'm no stalker

Did you get funny looks from the sellers? I took advantage of TRUs BOGO 90% off. Bought 2 8091 Republic Swamp Speeder(anyone need Barriss Offee, PM me) and another 7929 Battle of Naboo.

Anyone know about when 10195 will be retired? I'd like to get another one before it goes. -
Yeah, it's been around a while, don't know exactly how long, but I'm sure someone does. Just bigger boxes do though.
-
I like both really, they have they're pros. But, I like the brick built slope roof better. I like the finished product better. Although, a plate with 2x2 tiles on it would look good.
-
That's a good idea. It would be more fitting, wouldn't it. The holograms in the movies/show are just shrunken down versions of themselves, so that'd be perfect. And, it'd be cool to get one in the trans blue color.
-
I'd still go with the IF. While the Shuttle Adventure is a really cool set, it can't match up with the IF. Aside from the modulars and 10195, that's at the top of my collection for the wow factor. When I had my IF on display, some people had to look twice to see that it was in fact Lego, after I told them.

Wow, that is massive. How much does that sucker weigh? Could you snap another picture with a minifigure by it for size reference? I want to get a better idea just how big this thing is. Great job too on capturing the details of the ship, definitely recognizable.

Yeah, I was looking through his flickr and saw it, not the one with him in stormtrooper garb, though. Really impressive. -
Just waiting for them to get here. Thanks to member kyphur, I'll be adding Commander Fox(last needed Commander), 2 more Clone gunners, and 7679 Republic Fighter Tank to my regime.
-
I agree. I'm even considering buying 2, which I haven't seriously considered before. I have a lot of the CW ships/vehicles that you could gave multiples of and make a squadron of, but I've never really wanted to buy another more than this frigate. And the clones! Oh the clones, very cool!
-
Um...do you mean Voldemort? Yeah, he's not supposed to have anything on his head.

I'm not even a really big fan of Pirates theme, only having 6242(always was a fan of the soldier faction). But when I first saw pictures I really liked it. Then, after visiting a Lego store and seeing it displayed just completely sold me. I think, even if you're not a fan/collector of pirates, you'll love this set.

On a bit of the same note... I was in a TJ Maxx because vie read on here that some have found the rare good deal. Well, I found the SW Brickmaster book for $20 USD. Oh yeah...there weren't any bricks!? Who's going to pay that price for just the book, the bricks are the point to that book.

Definitely would've been better had they used a different color. From afar he definitely wouldn't have been able to tell. Nice prank though, even better creation.

Wow! That's a lot of clones! Do you happen to have anymore pictures of that, different angles, maybe? Thanks to this thread, this has become my new Lego focus. Making a Clone army, both in troopers and vehicles. Edit: I didn't see the flickr link there at first... -
Finally we've seen a review for this set! This is on the top of my list for summer sets, I really like this. With exception to 10195 Dropship with AT-OT Walker, this will be the biggest ship in my fleet. I want this really for the clones, but I also like the looks of the ship. That was a very good review. Good insight and pictures showing just about every inch of that ship, inside and out. You really know your CW stuff.

Wow, that's pretty impressive the way you incorporate all different themes into your medieval world. Very cool.

I don't have the QAR, but I would definitely go with 10210 Imperial Flagship. It's such an impressive ship and a pretty good build. And of course, there's the going into retirement soon, in which case the Flagship would also be the way to go. Even though it is quite a bit more, you won't be disappointed when you see the finished model up on your shelf.
