There was actually about 10 part difference; I'm not sure where those 10 parts went, but apparently it disappeared with the mask.

You just gotta love when blurry prelim pics cause mass hysteria. As for me, I'm really, really pumped to see the final sets. A lot can change from that prototype stage to the final release (see prelim Tahu and final Tahu).

On a side note from the Summer Sets discussion, Lego just released a version of the CGI trailer with a voiceover on their channel. It should be noted that they have also uploaded some of the trailers and the first episode in Korean (or at least with Korean subtitles) (I actually saw it as one of those ads that play before you can watch a video, so it seems Lego is going to be advertising on more fronts this time around)

Well, while we wait for more info on the Summer Sets, I decided to order the 3 cheaper Toa on amazon (I already have Tahu, Onua, and Kopaka), along with a Bohrok since I somehow never got any 2002 sets. Which Toa do you guys enjoy the most?

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any image leaks. You think we would get some by now, considering that 2 toyfairs are occurring in the next 10 days...

Battle for the Gold Mask Semi-finalists and Winner
TheGreatSpirit replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Eh I'm not fond of the winning MOC, tbh. It's kinda... eh to me. Honestly I kinda hope the communities can vote on anonymously submitted entries the next time something like this is done so a.) it doesn't become a popularity contest (sure people will find ways around it but w/e) and b.) There isn't so much controversy. EDIT: Fixed up the grammar of my sentence. Also, it still only seems fair to offer congratulations to Roa McToa on the winning entry! -
Wow, thats kinda low. The comics themselves seems lazily drawn tbh, and you are probably right in asserting that most of it is traced. Lego, if you are going to have these kind of things done, they have to have effort put into it. Although tbh, if a lot of it weren't traced and more details (not just set accuracy, actual details instead of generic robots), they would be fine.

I never realised how weird its going to be with the villain being called just "Makuta" again. When I hear "a Makuta set", 9 sets still come to mind

Don't know if this has been posted before, found it in the source code of the shop page: Nothing new, basically suggests that the skull spiders are in cahoots with Makuta

Its upper half is really good, and I really like the function, but the middle section could use a bit of bulk. Still very nice though

April or May? We get toy fair in a month or 2 man, we will probably get leaks very, very soon.

I just noticed that the suggested age range is 7-14... Old Bionicle began about 14 years ago I don't think it was intentional, but food for thought, no?

Ya know, seeing those prototype pics again reminded me how much more I liked the prototype Hau over the new one :/

Legends of Chima 2014 Discussion
TheGreatSpirit replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I found Fangar to be a great figure that took Furno XL's build and improved it (the shoulders are much more secure). Having back armour on a caped figure is kinda pointless IMO, so I don't mind that he doesn't have any. Regarding the forearms and asymmetrical legs, I thought they contributed to Fangar's skeletal look (although admittedly the legs would've been better off being symmetrical). I can see why some don't like it, but he's probably my favorite Chima figure to date. -
Then why bother posting in this thread?

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Entry Thread
TheGreatSpirit replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, I might as well enter this guy in: (and yes he's still called No Name) https://www.flickr.c...57646608967443/ -
I'll try that for sure, thanks! But I think I'll just enter him as is for now (I'll still try the shoulder thing and post some pics, but putting up that light setup again is rather annoying :P)

I suppose I could try to find a way to put it higher...
