Tom Bombadil replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Built this set this morning. Decided to mod it into a more 'complete' build - a dining hall for the family: -

This set reminds me of BBT set. It will be interesting to see modders putting a roof to the build to make it a more complete building. -

Christmas is a time of presents and music so Santa is gonna rock the house! -
I dislike the fact the TLG is creating a shortage for collectors by having only 1 Percival Graves per box. What do they hope to achieve by creating rarity? Also, the skin tone of Cho Chang is incorrect. These aside, I appreciate the comparison of previous generations for HP minifigs vs current generation of HP minifigs. The presence of Diagon Alley is a nice touch too.

REVIEW: 71021 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18
Tom Bombadil replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
@WhiteFang thanks for the fun to read review. I am looking forward to this non-licensed cmf series. Also glad I am not the only one who noticed the naughty references. March Harriet should be in the cake photos! :p -
Manatee has arrived and they are having a rocking good time! Thanks @CopMike and EB for the Raffle!

Extremely happy to be one of the featured mocs in the advent calendar. To me, this is the best Christmas gift for this year. Thanks CopMike and EB! Wilson, we made it!

Vincent, I just picked up my jaw from the floor. Very detailed and accurate build of an oriental themed mansion. Interesting use of the samurai helmet plume for the fences. Hope to see more works from you.- 54 replies

I agree with the above comments that a proper Wayne manor would have been more appealing. No way I will spend that amount on a wacky build. Got to bricklink the disco figs...

This is so different from the majority of moc buildings I seen so far. Superb details and great accuracy.

Though this is such an old set, I enjoyed reading your review. The story telling style is refreshing and it conjures images of the movie. A pity Lego discontinued the LOTR/Hobbit line else I would love to see you do the review for the new sets.

I like it. Very elegant and accurate presentation of the Singapore skyline. I can see the infinity pool on top of Marina Bay Sands.

REVIEW: 71018 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17
Tom Bombadil replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi whitefang, Great job on completing your 24th cmf review. I understand there are other sites that offer cmf reviews as well but I like how your reviews always offer a different perspective. I feel that review work is a piece of art and you have clearly established your unique style and 'brushes' over the years. As a cmf collector, I appreciate how your reviews bring in some history of the cmf through the 'packs shot', the cameo appearance by cmf from previous series and so on. It enables me to better appreciate why the Lego designer come up with the design in the latest series. There is this depth in your review that is missing in other sites reviews (they did well too in other ways though). I like what some of the eb members shared, it's about enjoying the reviewing process and having fun. :) -

REVIEW: 71017 LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series
Tom Bombadil replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Whitefang, thanks for the review, I always look forward to reading your CMF reviews, they are so entertaining and carry your unique style of relating back to past CMF series. Looks like a fun series and no army building figs (good for the wallet). I am turned off by the price hike. I wonder are we going to pay the new pricing for future licensed CMF such as Disney CMF series 2? For the first time since collecting CMF, I had the thought of just buying a few minifigs and not the entire collection. -

I hope so too. My kids enjoying the year 2 content especially Adventure Time. It will be a shame if the game is ruined by technical glitches. We still have year 3 to go...
