The bank set seems to have also appeared on the Lego shop Link
-
Yeah it's seems really ugly for some reason, but hey, it's Lego so if people want to have a better one they can build their own. It seems it's $39,99 not $29,99, but I don't live in the US so I don't lnow of that's a good price

I had high hopes for the proton cannon thingy but now I've seen the pics on Lego shop I must say I don't like it well it saves me some money Link to Shop page

The base for the trailer is a train large plate base Thanks for clearing that up for me, I always want to know on how to improve my reviews so thank you
-
Very cool and big layout (although bigger is always cooler ) All those little jokes inside of it, like the spongebob figure makes me laugh
-
I hope the space fans get a new theme, because the lack of one this year can't be justified.
-
Well I hope you're right, but I'm always a little sceptical about these things. But indeed if you look at all those minifigs there is a patern in it
-
Yeah I think we here in Europe get those sets around the same time as the space sets, but I could be wrong... at least I hope I am . And the more I look at those pics the more I want it, Thanks for the high-res one

Well now you've said that, I think I might consider joining, now I only need to find out how..

That's just plain awesome, it looks really good. Almost like an official set. Can't wait to see it finished -
Now I've seen this set on Flickr in real life I can't wait to get one, or two or three.. Really love every aspect of this set.

& Poll Added -TheBrickster Once again I bought a new police set for a really good price. Anyway let's start with the review. We get 3 instruction books. And a big sticker shead, I had already built the set so I don't have any pics of that, The first book and bag gives us the police motorcycle and the thief's car. A lovely little red automobile which looks like it would fit perfect in the modern city style. The two minifgs consist of a police man and the thief himself. They both look like all the other police and thief figures. The back of the police figure is printed The motorcycle, it looks also like most other police motorcycle's we got in the past 5 years so it's not that spectacular. Back of the motorcycle On the other hand we get the cute and really cool small red car. It's just so well designed that everyone loves it. It has doors and some extra small red slopes which (from what I've heard) are/were rare. And like most City cars it has a stickered lisence plate at the front and back One of the things I like is the inclusion of a gold bar. It's however, not the same chrome gold I'm used to (those were from the older World City line). But still it's clear what it is for. Here's a comparison between the two. The left one is the new one, so that means the right one is the older chromed version. It seems the thief really loves all the gold (so do I), you don't want to know how many money tiles, diamonds and cristals I have so I am happy that we get a bank this year Also new for me are these two new printed tiles with “police' them. I like the fact they made those printed despite I wouldn't mind them to be stickers And here are the two in my city, I think they look great with the rest of the city sets. We continue with the front of the truck. It's a nice looking one, but it reminds me strongly of the older version. Side view, note the lights on top wich can me moved up and down There is also a small door where you can store stuff. Removing the roof is really easy so you can access the interior We also get a new minifig. I really like him, and it adds some variety to the police theme with all it's normal policemenn and thief's. His back has also some printing And he can easily access the truck thanks to those good old doors. Random page of the last instruction book The trailer finished, it looks really good and it reminds me of the ones that I always saw in those classic town things You can raise and turn the radar dish, there is also a door where you also can store some stuff. And this one actually contains some stuff This, it's okay, I guess At the underside is this standard which prevents the truck from tilting while it's not connected to the truck itself. The two doors at the side of the trailer can be opened. It doesn't use any mechanism to hold it in place, so they swivel around sometimes when you hold it sideways. The roof can also be opened which makes it really easy to see and access the interior. I have taken some close-ups because there are some many details. A computer/tv screen with a map, and a wanted poster. Some equipment for the police officer, The flashlight is made from a black lightsaber hilt, never seen it in this color. And we get the middle part. Let's start with the top. Again two computer screens which are stickered. More lower are those two 'new' computer screens, those are printed (close up below). Also we get this nice black coffee machine thingy. Really adds all those wonderfull details. The close up. The printed tiles are really over-detailed. Even if you look close you can see all the letters on the keyboard, like the real things. It really amazed me that they did this. The computer screen are also nice and a good variation of the other ones. And at last we have the tv screen. A new reporter is shown with underlined text saying: 'breaking news...Bank robbery...dog'. The last part is the small prison cell at the back. Idon't like it to much, but it adds some playability for children. There is not to much to see inside. And because I as a kid (and in secret also now, but don't tell that futher) loved those comics. In the next couple of weeks I think the comic builder site will be online, so we can all make our own comics. I also got a code for some extra downloads ont he next page. At the last page we have a picture of the new space sets, I like them so I will also buy them, now I only need to make some more room for the space sets. In conclusion Pro's -Much playability -Really nice vehicles (red car!!) -Nice minifigs -Good price (I got mine for 35 euro) -Gold bar -Many new printed pieces Cons -Price normally is 45 euro which seems a little steep -It has many stickers, but that's just a small con -prison cell at the back looks a little out of place -looks a lot like the previous one (but that one already looked great) I can't see more cons for this set, it's just great and if you don't have the previous one I would recommend to get this set.

No I don't or at least not yet, I don't know if I make a review of that one because I've already build it so I need to take it all apart again.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Brickviller replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
HAs anyone already figured out what's the name of the tactical droid, or is it just a random one in the mace windu starfighter set? -
I'm sorry to be a sceptic but I believe that it's the hull from the older fire boat set. Also it seems both use many of the same parts so I think it's just a moc from Lego to be put into the harbour since the older one is way to old to be used in the commercial (since you can't get it in the shops anymore)
-
Thanks The Red Brick, I think they both look very good now. So I'm really consider to get them both And the commercials are really funny to watch It made me even laugh
-
Done and done I bought it ad V&D in Utrecht, it seemed we got 15% off until the 24th of December

by TheBrickster Christmas arrived in the Lowlands (Netherlands) and Santa brought all the new Police set with him. I bought this set right after I heard it was already released together with some other police sets that were also brand new. The first thing I noticed was the small size of the box compared to other sets in this price range. So Lego cares about to oversized boxes? Back of the box, I really like all the small pics showing some action scenes with this set. My inner child was going mad :P The content of the box consist of three numbered bags. The bigger parts (the front and back piece of the helicopter) came without a special back. The instructions and the sticker sheet. The first bag consist of the small criminal car. It's nice to see some old classic pieces are still in use today. We also get the criminal himself, with an angry smile on his head. Ofcourse he's already arrested because how else could we make such a nice picture of him? The small car, nice and very fun to drive with. Also the colorscheme looks great. Back of the car, here's the first sticker used as a license plate But without car doors the criminal can't get inside like normal minifigs can. Poor criminal... Instruction book number 2 The pilot of the helicopter, despite his torso has been seen already I really like it. Other police officer Last police officer with a new style cap Once finished you get a fast, and good looking police helicopter equipped with everything you need to catch and chase criminals. On this side it has a spotlight And on the other side the camera back Interior of the cockpit. The control pannels are printed. I like the inclusion of a cup, making it a little more realistic Spinning And at last the helicopter with the whole police corps, I still need to buy two police stations to make it have a proper landing pad. Conclusion The set is great for kids, and also good for adults. As requested some pics of the interior And a comparison between the fire and police helicopter The fire helicopter seems to be heavier than the police one Cons -Price is a little steep for this set, over here it's 30 euro -The helicopter seems to be very similar to last years fire helicopter (but that helicopter was cool to so why not use the same formula for a police one) -The criminal's car seems to be very similar to the blue one from the garage set a few years back -The helicopter feels really light compared to it's size, I would prefer something more heavier but it seems you can't have everything -Some may say that the're to many big pieces but that's just a matter of taste IMO. Pro's -4 minifigs, really generous of Lego because it seems they're geting even rare in larger sets -Two vehicles to make a chase scene with -Small details as the handcluffs(?) -Really nice colorscheme -swhoosh-able -Fits more minifigs than the ones deliverd with this set -It's a police helicopter, what else can you dislike about that? So all in all it's a great and solid set. Children will love to make chase scenes with this set. And it looks great with all the other new police sets
-
Those two new sets don't look good IMO. I just...they don't look like a official lego set but more like somekind of sets a fake lego company would come up with. I'll only buy the bank and money transfer, not because of the set but because of what it is supposed to be

Looks really cool, the way the cafe is build reminds me of some of those weird houses in Amsterdam that are build in a similar way. Respect for the way you build this
-
Thanks 'The Red Brick'for finding this picture, This is the ugliest set from the space sub-theme IMO. But that doesn't mean it is a bad set, just not as good as the others. I hope the space shuttle fit's this one in the cargo bay so you can transport this one to the moon or another planet
-
For some reason I don't like this theme, maybe because in the early days we never had something like this. It's just not right for soem reason but I can't put my finger on it what it is. Anyway some of the skeleton sets look interesting but I won't buy any. Hope other people can enjoy this theme
-
That's just a masterpiece, I can't do anything like that. The stones look really like the ones in the middle-ages, and all those details make it look awesome. The plants and scenery make it look even better
-
What a great moc (in size and in good-ness ) I really adore all the small details you put into it and it has a great medieval feeling to it. Great work I would love to have something like this
