    How are you going to display it now built? On a big table? Or did you find a big shelf that can hold this thing? Curious b/c wife and I want to pick this up but can't find something to display it easily on.

    What kind of shelf is big enough to put this massive thing on? Wife and I have plans to get it but I am reluctant to purchase til I can determine option to display it.

    If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that? Seems prices are ridiculous for that set. Are there many preprinted parts? I had contemplated buying the parts and building it but wondering how close it would be to the correct version.

    That’s interesting about them being sticky after being left in bags. I do agree about cutting the boxes down so I can collapse them bc the larger set boxes take up too much room.

    Was curious what others do with sets that have been taken apart and what they do with their boxes? I have a bunch of sets and boxes. We are having to move and I feel safer dismantling them into separate bags. Then breaking down all the boxes to make it easier to store them. What do y’all do?

    Yeah I definitely would love to see pictures of exactly what is done to mount the 10179.

    Yeah I had already planned on that. However, even taking that into account it is still $240 worth of parts. Tried to get new maybe more than I should for the white parts. Getting used white parts is very hit and miss. The 552 white plate modified with jumper pieces are $.10/piece when I ran the numbers. Used weren't really much cheaper than that too. How were you able to get that price so low?

    I still like Anio's Bb8 more than Legos version today. I have bought his instructions but yet to get the parts needed to build it. Plan to at some point but will pass on Legos version. It just seems cheap and doesn't look round. Proportions looks off head to body as well.

    I can't find them. It is like where is Waldo. lol. I just noticed that the lights work at night on the landing pad. Very nice touch there. I didn't catch that detail the first time.

    Wow that was a great deal. I almost pulled the trigger on the Tie Striker that was 43% off for Prime Day. However, just don't have enough room to keep up picking up things to build when I have 7 or 8 boxes of legos for ones I haven't built yet. Going to have rotate which ones are built and displayed to appease the wife.

    Almost $70 for the instructions? Wow! A little steep to me. I know there was a lot of work on this and that manual is gorgeous, but I will unfortunately have to pass. Looks amazing though.

    I totally agree that in no way can Lego out do what some people have created. I have Anio's Venator built and would love to build Mortesv's Tantive IV. Problem is I do not think the wife would care for that unless I agreed to dismantle one of the two big ships I have. lol.
