4000048 Bugatti Type 35
Vaionaut replied to Davidz90's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@C-Brick The link should work, at least it does for me Thanks for the updated decorations, I've also already added some custom ones myself. Without better photos, it's hard to tell what the originals really look like. For the golden 1x2 slope, I think the design is more like this (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Plaque_de_numéro_de_chassie_Bugatti.jpg ) -

Yep, I fixed this in the updated file. Also, the curved slopes on the side of the grille should be angled, probably connected to the sides of the hood. -

Here's a little update again. I plan to order some 3D-printed wheels tomorrow after having compared a few suppliers today. I also looked into different printing technologies and want to give HP MJF a try. -

Hey @BrickWild, these updates look great! It looks like you worked from the very first version I uploaded. I've made a few updates to my file since then (same link as before) - would you mind combining the two versions and sharing the updated file so we can keep collaborating on this? -

It almost feels like it would be easier to list the parts that haven't been recolored...^^ Many of the dark azure parts used for the body (especially the various curved slopes and wedges, but also, for example, the 3l bars at the front with the Kylo Ren lightsaber connector) Also, lots of metallic silver parts like 3x3 plates with round corner, bars, candles and the inquisitor lightsaber hilt. Then there are the tires that only exist in white, the steering wheel that looks like medium nougat, etc. The list is pretty extensive – just take a look at the stud.io file. Btw, I updated it so that it includes the base and the newly added decorated elements by C-Brick now (thanks for designing these!). -

You can find a stud.io file of my current version containing the chassis and the body here, using the wheels by @C-Brick. Now the question is, how to figure out how the rest of the internal build is made in the set? Sure, it wouldn't be a problem to connect it somehow, but it would be cool if it came as close to the original as possible. Also, a really large number of parts have been recolored for this. So this would require either building another color variant or use some spray paint... -

Here's my attempt at recreating the coachwork -
Hi, as with all Model Team sets, 5550 and 5581 do not include instructions for the C models. However, since I like the shown trucks very much, I would like to rebuild them, but have only photos of the packaging showing the alternative builds. Is there anyone here who has built the C models or even has instructions for them? I would be really happy about it! Best Johannes

Just saw the press release of the new Technic Ferrari at brickset. Seems like it contains the black rotor blades from the osprey as side skirts :) -
Eurobricks event 2020 Billund sign up topic
Vaionaut replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
It is questionable whether there will be no more restrictions until then. Moreover, in September the Skaerbaek Fan Weekend is planned anyway, if they don't cancel it. I don't really want to make two trips to Denmark in the same month. It may be that I am a bit too pessimistic - Holodoc should be able to judge things better by profession. But I don't think that an event can take place this year. -

Short update on our house. We decided that I'll be the responsible, because I will be there all the days (Sat - Wed). We will take a Design Plus 6 or also a Classic Plus 8 house and want to book in the next couple days. We still would be very happy if 1-3 people want to join us! @KimT, @CopMike, @Quarryman, @StarBricks, @mechamike, @Ras 74, @Cwetqo, @LegoFjotten, @LEGO_duden, @Tosca, @me_minus, @Pandora, @Rufus, @julien4599 and @Skandinavc FH: Please let us know as soon as possible where you want to stay. -
Eurobricks event 2020 Billund information topic
Vaionaut replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
First off, thanks for the compliments. But I'm sure that some, like @Lasse D for example, are at least as good at it ;) Nevertheless, I could of course offer a little workshop. However, I would like to have clarified the question of accommodation and availability of a common room beforehand. -

@Holodoc: Could you please provide an overview of this year's participants and accommodations, as Bonaparte did in the past years? Somehow it appears to be extremely confusing this year. We have no common room now, right? I ask mainly because of the workshop being considered in the information thread. I would like to stay where most others will, regardless of price – this seems to be Lalandia. So who wants to join me? I also take the bedlinen/towels offer there. It would be best if we could get houses next to each other there, of course. Is there a possibility to get this organized? -

Signing up as well, really looking forward to it again! :) -
1 day to the event 1 years ago we had 2018! Also in the year 2018 a lot of great new sets were released and it's hard to determine a ranking here. But I’d like to remind you of three of my favorites, that also made it into my collection. 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition After appearing for the first time in Avengers Age of Ultron in 2015, the Hulkbuster made a short appearance in last year’s part of Infinity War and became Marvel's second UCS set after 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier from 2015. I'm a big fan of mechs anyway and this one is just incredible. Such huge and massive and at the same time very detailed and perfectly capturing the original template. Cool additions like a base with robot arms for repairing, a Veronica satellite and a Microscale Hot Rod complete this extraordinary set. 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City For years there have been rumours about a re-release of this iconic location in a galaxy far, far away, after its first replication as a set in 2003. Also numerous April fools dealt with it, even if almost nobody really believed it anymore. When it was once again claimed that a new Cloud City would be released, some were confused. This time it was not in April, but at the end of August. Should it really be true? When looking at the first pictures, however, opinions differed greatly. The joy about the new figures was huge, but the design of the set itself split the fan community, trying to adopt the concept of 75159 Death Star. Anyway, in my opinion this new Cloud City is really cool, I love the little Slave I and almost every scene from the movie can be replayed very well. My personal place 2 for 2018. 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall Finally, one of the best themes ever is back! Harry Potter returns and brings us a new Hogwarts Castle again! And yes, it's the playset I chose here as my most favorite set from 2018! Of course, the UCS version 71043 Hogwarts Castle looks great too, but since I'm just not a big microscale fan, I was less enthusiastic about it. With the Great Hall, however, a modular Hogwarts returns including an awesome minifigure lineup! The best: It offers the opportunity to expand it, as with 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow (including a nice Ford Anglia) and I hope there will be more additions coming this year. (Image shows 75954 and 75953 combined) So these were my highlights of the last year. What do you think of them – and what were yours? Can't wait to see you all tomorrow :)

I should still have stored several sealed copies of different Superheroes DVDs with exclusive minifigs. I'll check when I get home from work.

Eurobricks Event #15 Building Challenge
Vaionaut replied to Skalldyr's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thank you for the organization of the building challenge, @Skalldyr! The skyline of my hometown essentially consists of a large building complex, but I've wanted to build it for a long time. Just spent "a little" money at BrickLink for this after planning it digitally in Stud.io. -
Eurobricks event #15 GÜNZBURG (!) sign up thread
Vaionaut replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I would be happy with sharing a room, but a single bed room would also be ok, if it works out better that way. The double room might be with @Skalldyr again, but I would be fine with anybody else too :) -

I edited the post and named all parts The gear should be black. I have a couple of these in light (bluish) gray, too. There's an older and a newer version of it - both exist in black, but are unfortunately quite rare in this color.

I have that torso left (from Legoland Fabrik last year), so you can have it. I'm looking for: Furty (actually, I'd just need the mask and the tail) Head from Alfred Pennyworth (set 7783) Torso Batman Coat with Brown Fur Trim, White Shirt and Black Tie Pattern x2 black Technic, Gear 24 Tooth Crown with Reinforcements (old or new style) x2 light gray Wheel 20 x 30 Technic (4 studs D.) x4 trans-clear, with or without bottom tube, not too yellowed)

Here I'd like to show you two airplanes that were already on display at the exhibitions Bricking Bavaria in Germany and Mondesee in Austria. Both planes were also available as official sets in large scale in 2001 and 2002 – I had now tried to construct them in minifigure size. Sopwith F.1 Camel Fokker Dr.I Hope you like them - please let me know in the comments :) Best Johannes
